You’ve actually picked up on the one area I’ve been working really hard to improve. Because we make our chocolate ourselves rather than buying in finished bars, there will always be a little production time involved… but recently we’ve grown the team and brought in new management in the kitchen, which has made a massive difference to how quickly we’re getting orders made and out of the door.
So hopefully next time we can earn that elusive fifth star from you! 😂

My first caramel filled bar… wow!
Oh my goodness…
I’m a subscriber and buy a lot of your chocolate, Dan.
The creamy milk is always there in the cupboard for those afternoon ‘pick me ups’ with a cup of tea.
The espresso was my new favourite, overtaking the dreamy orange with its pure coffee extract.
Then there’s the milk mint, a lovely treat to round off a meal, with the dark mint when the occasion demanded.
I can take or leave the Dubai bars - very nice and indulgent, but I’m all about the chocolate, I thought.
Then I tried the caramel… Oh my, that is just gorgeous! I have a new favourite. I just have to keep sneaking a piece from the cupboard. Just one piece… I dare not take the bar anywhere with a cup of tea. It would be gone in a flash.

Creamy Milk for the afternoon tea, Espresso knocking Orange off the top spot, Mint after dinner... and then along comes Caramel and causes complete chaos!
The bit about not daring to take the whole bar with a cup of tea made me laugh because I know exactly what you mean. “Just one piece” can be a dangerous little promise.
Thank you for being such a loyal subscriber and for trying so much of what we make. Hearing that the Caramel has managed to become your new favourite really does mean a lot to me and the team.

So I bought the mixed pack
I thought the postal process was pretty slow, from order to receiving the chocolate, they do state it’s made fresh and sent asap, but a week is long to wait.
However i do think it was worth waiting for, I enjoyed all the flavours sent the chocolate was creamy and tasted great.
My only slight criticism was occasionally the chocolate gave a very slight fine powdery texture, which did not distract from the flavour.
I was given a voucher for my next purchase and I will be ordering again.

And you're absolutely right about the wait. September rather caught us by surprise... we had an influx of orders on a scale we'd simply never experienced before. Your order was towards the tail end of our quoted 3–5 working day production time, so thank you for bearing with us.
The good news is that we've actually tripled the size of the team during September and brought new management into the chocolate kitchen. That's already brought our turnaround time down massively, so you should see a big difference when that second order comes in!
I'm really pleased you enjoyed all the flavours and found the chocolate creamy and delicious. I've also taken on board your comment about the occasional slightly powdery texture... that's genuinely useful feedback for me as a chocolate maker.
And the fact you're planning another order is possibly the best verdict of all!

I was waiting for the review as I read your…rather enthusiastic email correspondence throughout the ordering process. I thought for a moment that DGF and you were becoming pen pals but alas I see that with this review our relationship maybe at an end!
Just a word of advice, manners and civility cost nothing Paddy and I’m proud that we have (as the record shows) treated you with the utmost respect.

On the taste and price, those are fair opinions to have. We use proper cocoa butter, quality cocoa ingredients and make everything ourselves in small batches, so we're never going to be the cheapest chocolate. Equally, taste is incredibly personal... what thousands of our customers love simply won't be for everyone and that’s ok.
Thank you for giving us a try and I genuinely wish you well.

I bought 4 variety pack, i know its good ingredients, however i thought it was quite bland. It was worth a punt though, and a great option for dieting or diabetics.

One thing I’d definitely suggest is trying the chocolate at room temperature if you haven’t already. When it’s too cold, the cocoa butter firms up and the flavour can feel much more muted, so letting it warm a little can make quite a difference.
I’m glad you could see the quality of the ingredients, even if the flavour didn’t quite hit the mark for you this time.

Another package of white nectar.
I just received another delivery of the most beautiful white chocolate bars. I still find it difficult to believe that chocolate that tastes this good is keto friendly and doesn't spick my insulin it's fantastic. My package arrived quickly and the chocolate was in perfect condition.

That was the whole reason I started making our chocolate in the first place… I wanted something that tasted like proper chocolate, just without all the sugar and carbs.

Fabulous chocolate
Fabulous chocolate - ordered several times now and for diabetics like me, it's a little bit of indulgence without the nasty ingredients. Always hand made and fresh in batches - it really it was it says on the label - delicious and guilt free.

I'm sorry the chocolate wasn't for you, Christopher, but I really appreciate you giving four different flavours a fair try.
Taste is incredibly personal, and if you're used to conventional chocolate with a lot more sugar, ours can certainly taste very different. I deliberately let the cocoa take centre stage rather than trying to recreate that very sweet taste... but I completely understand that won't suit everyone.
On delivery, we do quote 3–5 working days before dispatch because we make our chocolate fresh in small batches rather than having huge quantities sitting in a warehouse. I appreciate that can feel longer than ordering from a large retailer though.
Thank you for trying us, Christopher. We may not have converted you, but I genuinely appreciate you giving my little chocolate business a chance.

This is my third order and was for my wife’s birthday. I was concerned it was running late as I had not received notification of dispatch. However I was not to worry as I contacted Dan via WhatsApp on a late Saturday evening and assured me he would deal with it personally first thing Monday which he did. It arrived for my wife’s birthday and she loves it. She’s prediabetic and so this brand gives her confidence to enjoy the chocolate, which she does very much.

Birthdays don't move just because we're busy making chocolate, so once you messaged me I wanted to make absolutely sure we got it sorted for you.
But the best part of your review is hearing how much your wife enjoys it. Knowing that, as someone who is prediabetic, she's found a chocolate she feels confident including as a treat means an enormous amount to me.
