I have previous experience of Paint Protection Film (PPF) and ceramic coating, as I had both done on my Tesla back in 2022. As we intend to keep the new Macan S for some years I decided to do the same on the new car. My previous installer was no longer able to do it so I searched to find someone in the Exeter area as that was where the car was to be purchased from. Diamond Cut Detailing (DCD) are only a few hundred yards from Porsche Exeter on the Marsh Barton industrial estate (where just about every car dealership is located) and a visit to see their premises and a talk to Lewis Franklin, the DCD director, convinced me that they would be a good fit. I wanted a full front end PPF covering - bonnet, front bumper, wings and mirrors. I excluded the headlights as Lewis advised that Porsche apparently will not entertain any issues with headlights if they have had PPF applied - something to do with delamination I think. DCD use XPEL Ultimate Plus and it has a 10 year warranty. I must say that they have done an incredible job - as any PPF installer will tell you, the Macan bonnet is one of the most difficult jobs to do because it is one-piece covering not just the bonnet but part of the wings also. I think only XPEL makes a sheet big enough to cover it in one. How they get all the bubbles out beats me - I find it difficult enough to fit a screen cover on my iPhone!

Once the PPF was done the whole car received a Titan PX10 ceramic coating which has a lifetime warranty (not sure whose, mine or the car!). They also gave it full glass protection and removed the wheels and used Titan Pyro PX10 on the alloys and callipers to repel water and dirt.

The professionalism of DCD is amazing - the premises have all the lighting and equipment needed and Lewis kept me informed every day with what had been done - and sent numerous photos during and after the work was completed. The whole team are so dedicated to producing great results and it’s no wonder that they are picking up business from dealerships as well as individuals like me. They liaised closely with Porsche Exeter to make sure the work was completed on time, ready for my collection day. Nothing is too much trouble and I now want some PPF installed on the centre console and Lewis has found that XPEL have a template for that also. They are competitive on price, but the primary thing for me was to find an installer who was good. I can certainly say that DCD are better than good - they are amazing and I can thoroughly recommend them.

I am amazed at the result of having my car cleaned, machine polished and ceramic coated - I thought my cars paint was pretty good but the team at Diamond Cut Detailing took it to another level.

They also arranged to have my wheels refurbished and power coated whilst it was with them and they also de-chromed the trim in black - the whole car looks fantastic.

If you are car proud, I thoroughly recommend Lewis and his team to make your car look like new.

In my view, the ceramic coating completed on my car is far better (and cheaper) than a re-spray. I used to be a paint sprayer. I really appreciate the expertise and hard work that Lewis and his team put into to giving a gold star service. What impressed me most was the care, attention and pleasure that team appear to get from doing a good job. I used to put myself in the shoes of car owners. How would I want it to look if it was my car? Lewis appears the same. If your car is tired looking and lacking a depth of shine, then take it to Diamond cut

ULTRA REQUIRES TOPPING UP A FEW TIMES A YEAR. My car went in for a decontamination cleaning & glass polishing. It looked like brand new when I collected it.
I don’t know what they do or how they do it but the finish is first class.

Took years off a 5 year old Cayenne now looks amazing inside and out. Great communication from Lewis throughout the whole process. Great to see what was a one man and his van set up can do with hard work and skills. They are now far away from the early days with state of the art premises and anyone should feel confident up to supercar level in handing it over to the team. WELL DONE

I recently had my car treated by Diamond Cut Detailing for a Stage 2 paint correction, ceramic coating (including wheels and arches) and a full interior clean.

The car was in decent condition beforehand, but after six years without any real treatment the paint had started to feel quite rough. From the moment I first spoke with Lewis, the communication was excellent. He was incredibly efficient, completely honest about what could realistically be achieved, and kept me updated throughout the entire process.

Lewis and the team also went above and beyond by arranging for a previous repair on the rear bumper — which hadn’t been done to a particularly great standard — to be redone properly. The result is flawless and you would never know there had ever been a minor imperfection there in the first place.

The results of the detail itself genuinely exceeded my expectations. The paintwork now feels sexy smooth and looks incredible — it genuinely gleams like the day the car rolled out of the showroom. The interior was just as impressive and now looks back to factory-new condition.

If I had to suggest one small thing, it would be the addition of a nice signature fragrance to finish the interior, but that’s a very minor point considering how fantastic everything else was.

Overall I’m extremely impressed and will definitely be using Diamond Cut Detailing again for yearly decontamination and maintenance.

So I finally decide to take my 2017 VW Amarok 3.0 V6 to Diamond Cut Detailing in Exeter after seeing their brilliant results on Instagram. I wanted to future proof it against the Great British Weather. I booked it in for the Full Internal, External, Wheels Off and Engine Bay clean package and so glad I did as The end result was absolutely STUNNING. I can’t thank them enough. Especially Lewis for making the Roof, Bonnet and Wheel Arch suggestions in black wrap and for organising all the other subtle de-chrome changes that took the Truck to the next level. It’s gone from a Clean Example to a Stunning Showroom Ready example. Their attention to detail is second to none and nothing was too much trouble. They also provided me with a courtesy car so I could leave it with them a little longer to carry out all the changes. I can’t recommend them highly enough and 5 stars is no where near enough.
