Found this site specifically looking for animal crossing trading discords. I checked the ACNH-Trading tag for the best discords. I noticed that there was at least 1 very prevalent server reviewed all 5 stars with over 40 ppl actively online on it at the moment i joined.

I then realized that the discord is dead, there are not 40 ppl online, but there are plenty of offline users. After trying a few more dead discords that claimed fake 'online' user numbers and realizing that those numbers dont actually change much over the course of 24hr if at all for some discords, i decided to find reviews of the whole site itself.

In these reviews i have seen claims of, not being able to review discords unless you are a currently active member of them for at least 5 days, claims of disboards customer service being unusable, complete lack of any sense of ethics or understanding of business, mention of the obvious scamming potential and actual scams taking place, and i would like to add the claim that there are so many red flags and potential for abuse on this site that its actually detrimental to the community as a whole, and frankly looks real bad.

Would you wanna use a site/service like this? I wouldnt.

Oh btw if it's not obvious, because of all this you can set up a brand new server on disboard, fake all the stuff, and manipulate your reviews so that you can take a brand new no-name discord server youve just created, and make it appear to be legitimate, that will actively have ppl joining it through disboard.

Disboard won't let you write reviews on servers unless you been in the server for 5 days or more. This isn't a good thing either, people wanna get their experiences out there why do you have to wait to leave a review. Anyways I found and joined some discord servers. Some were downright toxic, full of rude people.
Recently joined a oc art server
Known as the art room, here's a warning the leader does not care about you getting bullied. A member of the server made a rude joke towards my art. It caused others to laugh at me. The other members started to make fun of my art. When I contacted the leader they just said it was a joke the member made. Just a joke? They belittled me, and made fun of me with that joke. It's downright bullying, overall i got 1 apology in return the other members did not apologize for laughing at me at all. After the situation was over the other members tried to kiss my ass and say they liked my art. Also after I contacted the leader everyone went silent after the leader confronted the members who bullied me. The server is full of crap.
Do not join that server if so be prepared to be bullied with harsh art jokes.
Anime servers there are a mess too. I've joined plenty, the members seem nice at first. But after awhile they snap at you for no reason. Some of these servers and members don't follow there own rules and need to be private or shut down.
If you wanna join a friendly positive server, don't use disboard. Find a private server with a minimum amount of users. Most of these servers have this same problem. Lousy leaders, bad members who belittle people for gratification it's sad.

Seems like they do everything to prevent a review... first to be in the server (despite likely having known it), and the worst... needing five days there, as if somehow someone can't know what something is like immediately (and, of course, prevents reviews if they've just been banned, so any server that goes out of their way to be inhospitable is somehow still hosted on disboard and everything *seems* fine until the next trapped logon...)

Refused to unban after being banned for a reason I have corrected since I turned the server into a different server. Customer service is rude.

Goodbye, Disboard.

They ban servers without actually checking. If you file a ticket they don't give you the time of day, drag your name trough the mud instead and act like power trippers

Disboard is really unfiltered. theres gore and much worse. they need better control of it

Used to love Disboard. i've had it in my server for a long time now and it was a huge boost in growth. but twice this week, I've been raided with bot spammers and hate spammers towards me and my community. sad to say that I'm now on the lookout for a replacement bot

Great site to find servers.. Until you get the "429 Too Many Requests" error. I've gotten this error so many times using the site, the website is pretty much un useable unless the server you want is on the first page. If you switch pages and search things, this error will block you from accessing the site unless you keep spamming reload until it lets you back in, until you click a link and you will get the error again.

I used to like disboard, until it was used to actually attack my servers by people who disliked the Furry community, LGBTQ+. This was all because I mentioned in one rule that everyone of every kind was welcome.

Disboard is used for scammers, and hundreds of porn bots to join and spam your server with their porn; I have underage people on ALL of my servers and this is absolutely disgusting.

Disboard has ZERO protection against bots and due to many other reviews, it is evident that bots provided by them have actually been removed. I've never joined the discord server myself, but reading the recent reviews: I don't want to. If people are harassed for how they run a server, or even SPIED on and for NO reason at all their servers are given horrible, unnecessary reviews; especially by the STAFF; then this isn't a good bot to use.

Disboard 100% used to be a very good thing I would use for hundreds of servers I used to own, but they've updated it a lot and it's become a bit complicated [last time I checked 2 months ago].

I'd suggest sorting out your staff team before anything else; and actually listen to your reviews.

The amount of servers I have seen on this thing that focus on Shota/loli-con is absurd, reported it multiple times server is still up why is this allowed? No idea but they don't seem to even care that it's there

Absolutely horrible customer service. Got a bad review because someone got banned from my server and then they reported it aswell. My server got taken down for not following their guidelines so I went and spoke to their customer service. My server didn’t break a single one of their guidelines but they made up new guidelines on the spot and told me that it didn’t follow a completely different companies TOS. I have been using them for years but this is just pathetic service and their guidelines mean absolutely nothing because they will just make up some ridiculous excuse to keep the site down.

This website is awful and deserves the poor reviews it gets. It asks you to pay for a subscription to get your server listed over other ones and it doesn’t do anything of the sort. Don’t use this website, don’t endorse them, don’t buy anything from this sad, pathetic scam.

I very much enjoy the site for searching for servers. The tagging, descriptions, search functions and reviews are helpful. The UI is very comfortable and works well.

My greatest concern is that you cannot post a review for a server you are not currently a member of. This means if you leave a server you cannot post a review about your experience, in particular to warn others. It also means if you were removed from a server due to bad faith actions of the administration, you cannot post a review of that experience.

If find this to be VERY problematic and can no longer trust the star ratings.

Lastly, a more minor desire. I wish I could exclude certain phrases when I search. This would allow me to search for servers that are in the realm of what I'm looking for while also omitting those that are not what I'm looking for.

It is a mess, lots of servers are scams. They have those invite people for free nitro and it's 99% always a scam. Never use disboard, better yet just don't use discord.

There is no way to counteract those who write bad reviews out of spite, that are completely false. Incompetent company .

all the bad reviews are fake. first there is no way disboard.org can scam you as it isn't a crypto mining site or anything that deals with depositing money. they list your server/bot for people to see. you can bump your server to be listed higher for more chances of people clicking on it. I use this for a lot of my servers and it gained my lots of members.
