I bought and sold my apartment with Therese Skaug from DNB Østensjø. Firstly, it was a lack of communication when I bought the apartment. I was not informed in advance of what my rights as a buyer were. The sellers had not cleaned the apartment properly when we met for the takeover, and they also removed the fridge and washing machine, which was agreed in the contract. I had not been informed that I was entitled to compensation for it, even though I commented to Therese after the takeover that they had taken the washing machine. I was also not aware that I was entitled to compensation if the cleaning was not in order. I had asked the sellers if we could have the takeover a few days earlier, which they agreed to, and they told me that Teresa had advised them to cancel the professional cleaning. It would have been nice to have been informed about my rights as a buyer.
When I sold the apartment, it was quite clean, but the new owners thought it could be better, which is quite understandable. But they charged what I think was an unreasonable amount of money to complete the cleaning. I was pressed for time, so I ended up agreeing.
understand that it was nothing she could have done there, but it would have been good to know in advance what the consequences would be if the buyers did not accept the apartment and prepare contingency plans before the takeover.
The lack of communication and preparation in both buying and selling the apartment 2”was appalling and caused me a significant financial loss. For this reason, I would unfortunately not recommend DNB Eiendom to others.
