I recently hired a car for 10-days in Tasmania and received exceptional service from the moment I booked it (12 months prior), to its return after our trip. I did need to change dates at one point and all communication was professional, easy and pleasant. The car was perfect for our needs and the collection/return was seamless. While there, someone came in whose mini van booking had been cancelled by another company overnight (due to an accident) and the staff were very helpful trying to accommodate their needs at such very short notice. I was pretty impressed with their service and will definitely use Drive again.

My experience was 5/5. I hired a car for 12 days recently. Prior communication was clear and concise and when I did have reason to check something by phone the staff were friendly and helpful. Car was clean and in good condition. I thought the cost was reasonable , may not have been the cheapest but when I'm on holidays I'm happy to pay for a hassle free experience. I would recommend.

I have hired a few cars through Drive Car Hire and again was surprised with the ease of the hassles you have with other car hire firms. My only complaint is how far away the car is from the terminal, not good if you have mobility issues. Would I let this stop hiring a car with Drive, absolutely NOT.

We hired a car for a couple of days. The check in and return process was simple and fast. I did it online from home, so when I arrived in Hobart on site, it made things much easier to pick up my hire car. Customer service was very helpful and amazing with the handover, and will help you with getting used to your car if need be. I would highly recommend this company if you are staying in Hobart, no matter how long.

Ive had problems with smaller car rental companies in the past but these guys run a really good service. The car was modern, clean and in good condition. the service fast, efficient and honest. Ill be using them again.

The car handled the roads well most of the time. Please check the tyres. I slipped a couple of times in the rain. Overall a good car to see Tassie.

Friendly helpful service at the front desk. The car was spotless inside and out. We should have hired something slightly bigger and more powerful but that was our choice. The front windows weren’t quite sealed and you could hear the outside air. All in all a great company to deal with and we would use them again.

Arrived at Launceston airport, we were picked up and driven to “Drive”. No hassle, staff friendly. Car ready, clean and economical.

Easy to access the car with no queues. The car was clean and easy to drive. The drop off process and return of keys was simple. Great value for money compared to the big name competitors. Would not hesitate to recommend (which I have already mentioned to a family member travelling around Tassie).

Drive is a great local rental company to consider for your Tas trip, pre pay and pre condition checks help get you into the car faster when you arrive with great staff available for support. Decent range of vehicles to pick from depending on your driving needs.
Would definitely recommend and would go through Drive again when I return to Tasmania.

The only thing that I found was the location of the vehicle at the airport very little signage for the position of hire car a part from that very thing was perfect

While website wasn't quite up to speed the day I tried to book but when I rang the team could not have been more helpful. Hyundai i30 - mid range, fuel efficient, great deal compared to the big companies, easy pick and return at Hobart Airport. Very pleased to support and recommend a local Tassie company.
