I have been shopping with Drumwright for over 10 years now, for everything drumming-related from sticks and cymbals to my son's first kit. The guys in the store are always exceptionally helpful and willing to take as much time as is needed to ascertain what is best for the customer. The shop has a great range of kits, cymbals etc and you can always try things before you buy. The guys are so obviously passionate and knowledgeable about drumming, it is always a pleasure to shop there.I have also used their on-line store and everything has always arived well packaged and on time.

When buying things there's no gimmicks or try to make you buy more or ripping you off, there just genuine and practical guys! They try and make the exerpeicne as helpful and convenient without smothering you with loads of . Everytime I've been, it's been better then the last, even if your just picking up some sticks and cymbal cleaner, they treat you with the same excellent respect as somebody spending large! Everything I could need is at drum wright, next thing they could expand there market to is tunned percussion!

I travelled up from Fareham to visit Drumwright to enquire about buying a new kit. What struck me first was the vast amount of equipment they have. We were looked after by Ian and his excellent team, they could not do enough for us and we felt very relaxed and welcome. Their expert knowledge and guidance is in my opioion second to none.
I would strongly recommend Drumwright to all drummers from beginners to top industry professionals.
Spending your hard earned cash on a drum kit can be a little daunting. What strikes me about the staff at Drumwright is that they listen to your needs and then they hand pick the equipment for you.

I have used many drum stores, be it online or in store throughout my drumming career. But then I stumbled on a store online, yes you got it Drum Wright. I can't remember how long I have been using these guys, but it started with the odd set of sticks, then accessories, cymbals, the lit goes on. I decided it was time to upgrade my well used entry level Tama, I HD a few local stores that I old of used, but I planned a trip to Reading to see the guys, I spoke to one of the chaps via their Facebook page about various kits a few days before venturing nearly 2hrs up the M4. On my arrival they knew how I was and roughly what I wanted, they gave me a great insight into each kit and what it had to offer. Once I had found a kit I liked, thy then had it set up in the practice room for me to see if it was definitely the kit I wanted nd it was. Since then I only use Drum Wright, simply because they offer great customer service, they have a wealth of knowledge and they all come from a drumming back ground, not forgetting great value for money too. If anyone was to ask where to buy gear from these guys would be my recommendation.

Fantastic drum store, massive range of stock, with knowledgeable staff, help and advice. Had the pleasure of purchasing a Natal American Walnut shell kit plus Natal Stave snare drums, all on next day shipping and the best UK price.

I, and other family members, have been Drumwright customers for some ten years and have enjoyed a consistently high standard of service: the staff are knowledgeable, always helpful and friendly, and the store carries an impressively wide range of products to cater for all levels and budgets. My son, a professional drummer, acquired his first kit from Drumwright as a youngster, and his regular gigging kit today is also from there. We introduced my brother, a Bristol-based drummer, to Drumwright some years ago and it is now his first 'go-to' resource for equipment.

I have been lucky enough to deal with drum wright for a number of years and can honestly say they always go that extra mile to help sort out any of drum related needs both as a player and as the owner of a busy teaching school. They are the only UK dedicated drum shop I would go to for all my and my students needs.

I have been shopping at Drumwright since day one. You could say I am one of the more "mature" customers but I still play every weekend and consequently I need to update my gear on a regular basis. Last week, due to a couple of breakages, I found myself going to the shop two days running. I still got the top customer service and everyone is extremely patient despite the fact I am sure I am a complete nuisance! I have made some big purchases in the last couple of years - Yamaha 9000 kit, Zildjian Kerope cymbals, Roland electronic set etc but it is the small things that are really important to the working drummer. Sticks, heads, Moongel, cases, stands - the list goes on and on. Of course you can buy these things at other stores or online but what I find at Drumwright is that the staff can point me in the right direction. These days, they actually understand my preferences and they can guide me through the bewildering choice of top quality equipment. I can try things out - you can't buy hand hammered cymbals on line. They are all different apart from anything else! I am proud to be associated with Drumwright and stand by my contention that this is probably the gest drum shop in the country. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

In an age where "physical" shops selling musical instruments are very thin on the ground,the only option generally seems to be via an online site.
The limitations of online drumstores are obvious.
You cannot try different kits out,and you can,t discuss your needs with the salesperson.
I have known Drumwright from its inception,and I have first hand knowledge of the "love",that this family run outfit have for their business.
The amount of stock they carry is superb,and the help I have seen them give to absolute beginners,experienced players,and when I,ve needed it to myself,is second to none.
I pop in 2 or 3 times a year just to see whats going on.
If you are looking to get a kit or just want to have a look to see if drumming is something you you might enjoy go in and see them.
You wont be disappointed.

If I said that I started shopping at Drumwright when they first opened and since have bought 2 DW kits and a Yamaha 950 digital kit I think that speaks volumes for them. That's without all the accessories, cases, cymbals sticks etc. One story to relate to is that I went in for some moongell circa £5.00 at the time and ended up with a DW Kit ! Chris can be very persuasive when he wants to be. Now Ian has taken over the reigns at the new store he has the chance to take it even further with a much bigger holding of kits and accessories to ensure all clients ,young and old,beginners to top players have the chance to see and try out all manner and makes of drums and percussion along with regular clinics and events. As previously stated by many others great staff, great service and terrific attitude towards all levels of client proficiency.

In my capacity as Head of Percussion at Berkshire Maestros for many years we have had excellent service from Chris Wright and his team. Drumwright's understanding of our needs to teach on quality drums was identified by Chris Wright and as a consequence Drumwright, in association with Mapex UK supplied (at no cost) Mapex Drum Kits to our four area Music Centres, renewing the kits every two years.
Drumwright is motivated as to what is happening today in the drum world and gives a valued service to students and Professional Drummers no matter where they live.

I have always found the service of the staff very good and the quality of the percussion kit they have supplied is of an excellent standard.
We are fortunate to have a "specialist" drum shop in the South of England outside of London and it is very pleasing to have people who know their subject rather than those with an arrogant and disinterested sales policy as in the majority of UK music shops.
The new showroom set up is petty impressive too....if I was starting out all over again ( even I do not remember that far back) I would be very inspired and impressed by what you see as you walk through the door !!!

I teach across West London and run my own percussion academy. When ever a parent has asked about buying a drum kit I have always said phone the people at Drumwright. They give great advice and have a up to date knowledge base on the most recent products. When ever one of my students has purchased a drum kit from Drumwright I've always had good feedback from the parents on how they have made the buying experience understandable and given them the different options so that they can make the right decision on which kit to buy.

I have been shopping with DrumWright for 15 years now. They've always offered great service and when I recently purchased a top spec DW kit from them they even co-ordinated extra toms to be specially made and shipped from the USA to add to my original kit.

I can't go in there without spending money as there's always something I want. Good for drummers, bad for my wallet but all power to them. This is a must visit shop for drummers of all levels.

Back in 2000 I decided to seriously learn the drums and for this I needed a kit, I can’t remember how I found Drumwright but it was no doubt through one of many positive recommendations. They offered advice and put together a great beginners package of drums, cymbals and hardware. Since then my gear has improved along with my skills and Drumwright have always been there to accommodate me.

Three drumkits later, I still return whether I have lived local or far. I have many great examples of their service going beyond the expected; one being them sticking about after closing, waiting for me to arrive on a Friday night to buy a double bass pedal at a price match promise. Another, when they showed hospitality to my mother offering her hot drinks whilst I was taken care of by another member of staff to talk hardware needs.

Recently I popped in hoping to trade off my old drums for a semi-pro kit at best, but never expected to discover the fantastic deals and part exchange offers that ended up with me walking away with a Natal Bubinga 5-piece kit. This store just want to help the player progress and they will find a way to make sure you are happy whatever your budget, and even then they’re still able to provide more than you’d expect elsewhere.

Their communication with customers over the years, whether by post, emails or social media, has always remained strong and comprehensive. This coupled with their in-store attention to each customer, offering advice whether you’re there to buy a wingnut or a pro level kit is unsurpassed. Their consideration is always appreciated – you could say they never miss a beat!

i have Been a customer for years. For me there isn't another place that I can I have such honest and comprehensive service and advice. Friendly knowledgable staff, who get to know you by name and help you with a true concern for your needs.
Shopping on the internet doesn't give you this experience. I strongly recommend you visit DrumWright.

I've been shopping at DrumWright for several years and have always found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Whether I've dealt with them over the phone or in person, the level of service they provide remains consistently high and the prices low.
The product range they stock is very wide and if they don't have exactly what I'm looking for, they can always recommend something as good if not better and cheaper!
Overall, I cannot recommend this store highly enough!
