Absolutely loved it, I used it as a refresher course but it's great for beginners upwards. A really great way to understand your DSLR camera, whatever the brand and to help develop your own personal style of photography.

Attended an excellent course at DSLR. Led by a gifted (gold medal winner) photographer who was keen to share her skills, knowledge, insights, tips and tricks, and did so in a friendly and helpful way. Roland, who communicated with me from the point of booking the course and followed up afterwards, was very helpful - communicating clearly and providing lots of relevant information. Will be recommending DSLR to friends and fellow enthusiasts, and hope to attend further training with them.

Roland was very knowledgable and I really enjoyed the course. Learnt so much from the course and can’t wait to put it into action. Would definitely recommend this course! :)

I have attended 1d. an Intensive DSLR Photography Course. Aga is an amazing tutor. I've got out of this course more than I have expected. Not just learned the basics of manual DSLR use, which I've wanted to learn for many years, but also found lots of new useful information. After the course I have upgraded my Camera and planning to attend more courses in the future. And most important my passion for photography reborn again with a new power. Highly recommend this course.

I attended intensive photography course for a day in 1st week of September after playing around with my DSLR with auto mode which I have for 5 years. I wanted to move to manual mode to know more technical & creative side of photography. The course was really detailed n well explained by Ronald- my tutor for a day. It helped me taking better photos with confidence in manual mode now..
Just one suggestion: add more practical excercises to session. 😊😊

I work with students with SEN and booked two of them on this course. The staff we're amazing and very accommodating of their needs. They both learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the day!

I've had a DSLR for a few years but always wasn't confident getting the right shot and wasn't sure how to set my camera. Roland was an excellent tutor, very clear and was very patient. I learnt a lot of things about my camera and feel a lot more comfortable using it. I will definitely be booking more courses in the future.

I attended Roland's one day intensive course for beginners. I wanted to learn how to use my digital SLR properly, and really understand how, when, and why to use the different manuel settings it's capable of. I've spent about 18 months sporadically using my camera but not really understanding it, and as a result my photos have been extremely variable, sometimes turning out well, and sometimes nothing I did seemed to work. This course has competently changed this. I now actually understand what changing the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO actually mean, what it will do, and when/how to do it.

The day flew by as Roland covered so much useful material, with plenty of exercises to practice, and one-on-one instruction and tips. I now can't wait to use my camera this weekend! Thanks DSLR Photography, I'll definitely be booking on to future courses.

My colleagues and I attended a private one day beginners photography course. (8 of us split into 4 over two days) Our course tutor, Katerina was absolutely brilliant! She explained everything very clearly and patiently, and gave us the chance to practice with the cameras at each stage to make sure we understood everything. She also made sure we had a few hours in the afternoon to practice setting up the lighting and shooting different products which was really helpful. We've all come away feeling so much more confident taking beautiful product shots. I would highly recommend this course, and should we need any further training we won't hesitate to get in touch!

Before the beginners DSLR course I was only using the auto mode of my camera. The course gave me the confidence to use the full manual mode which I now use all the time! The theory instruction is well backed up by the practical excercises. The tutor Roland is excellent and it's clear he is very enthusiastic about getting beginners into photography

Did the intensive beginners course which is great for pure beginners and even better if you’ve got a little understanding of your camera. A lot to take in! Roland was great, answered all our questions and had a lot of patience for pure beginners.
Spent time with each student going through settings, talking through adjustments needed to take better photos.
Will do the intermediate course once I’ve embedded things I’ve learned.

The course tutor was excellent. He went above and beyond. The content was good and informative and we learnt alot.

We can't wait to put it into practise.

As a beginner... I cannot recommend this enough to kick-start your photography journey.

The course was brilliant. Informative but at the same time not overwhelming.
The theory to practice ratio was also spot on and the practical exercises were really fun.

I booked the intensive beginners course because I'd had my camera for a few years and not able to use it off the "auto" setting. I'm really pleased I booked this course because after 1 day I have the confidence to use my camera on manual.
It was really nice to be taught in a small group setting and Roland was an excellent teacher. He was very attentive and had lots of patience. We all had different camera makes and models but he made sure he went round to us all to ensure we were comfortable using our own cameras and showing us where our individual controls were.
Really great course, taught by a great professional who is clearly very knowledgable.

Bought a camera a couple of years ago, didn't really use it very much. Finally took the plunge and booked a beginners course with DSLR Photography and so glad I did. Roland explained everything very clearly in a relaxed atmosphere as there were just eight of us in the group. I now shoot in manual mode rather than auto, it's given me the confidence to use the camera more often and be more creative.

I undertook the beginners intensive day course and that’s exactly what it was. Roland was extremely patient with us all and gave us all 1:1 instructions on our own cameras. He used a variety off teaching methods from on screen, vocal to hands on experience- even risking getting wet in the process. We were lucky the weather was fabulous so we worked out side. He didn’t appear to tire from having to repeat anything and had a very relaxed reassuring manner. In one day I feel we covered a lot and when my camera malfunctioned he even gave me his state of the ark equipment to use. After I have practiced all he has taught me I hope to return and do the intermediate course. I found the day very informative and inspirational!

An amazing course. I've learned so much! I feel like I'm way more confident when using my camera and I feel like I'm also way more capable of spotting what I'm doing wrong when taking pics that are too bright/too dark/too blurry.
Aga is an amazing teacher, she's patient and she took the time to make sure everyone in the class was up to speed with the different functionalities we covered.
