Great course! Worth the money! Coming to the course I didn’t know anything about manual DSLR camera settings and with only one day course I learned so much! I managed take some great products shots next day. I was able to set the lighting on my own. I could not recommend this more! Probably the best course I have ever done I my life! This was exactly what I needed . I have my online store and need to learn super quick to be able to photograph all my products this course give me all the knowledge I needed.

This is a really great course for beginners! You get a round idea of how a camera works and how you can deal with an object in a studio environment!

An excellent course. I went along, after using a point & shoot camera,with my new Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III camera which I had not got a clue of how to use it in a Manual setting. I came away with great inspiration and chomping the bit to go out and experiment with my new camera. The course was extremely interesting, great fun and the time just disappeared. We learned a huge amount in just a day. Roland, who led our course, was extremely informative, very patient and friendly. A lovely day - worth every pennny!

Fabulous course for Beginners and those who really need to step away from Auto and learn just how amazing their camera is. I had a great time on the course There is a lot of information to take it, but the practice sessions really enable you to work on the theory you have learned. The course tutors are awesome and really made the day enjoyable. I would definitely recommend.

I had a really excellent experience with DSLR Photography Courses. I completed the intensive course, and by the end of the day I felt much more comfortable with my camera and using all of its manual settings. Roland was a great instructor - he was very patient and attended to all of our individual needs and queries. In particular, I found the practical exercises very helpful, as they helped me understand how altering one particular manual setting impacted the photograph in practice. Would definitely recommend, and I'm sure I will be coming back for more courses!

One of the best course i have the opportunity to attend. Roland was fantastic, his knowledge is top notch. Finally, i feel confident using my camera by learning the manual setting and now i am ready for my trip, knowing i have the right skills to shoot my memories. Thank so much Wimbledon Art Studios! Having never used a DSLR before I was a complete beginner and left the day feeling really confident that I understood the basics. Our course was led by Roland who demonstrated and explained techniques very simply and spent time with each member of the class offering feedback and advice on each activity.

We learned had to focus (Including manual focus), reading the light meter and how to expose shots correctly, shutter speed - how to freeze and blur shots, longer shutter speeds for low light conditions, intentional camera movement and zoom burst.

The communication before and after the course was also excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending this course to anyone and I would consider attending one of the other courses that are available.

After years of owning a DSLR camera and not stretching far from the auto mode, I decided it was time to learn! I found the Intensive One Day Course online, the reviews were great and the course outline seemed to be what I was looking for. Roland led the course, he took us briefly through the very basics of taking a photo then swiftly on to the details. We covered everything that the outline said; auto & manual focus, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, etc. The delivery of the course was excellent. Roland used a very informative slide deck accompanied with a hand out to introduce a topic and would very quickly have us trying it out on our own cameras and was on hand to offer tips & advice. The best exercise was the water balloons for shutter speed - good fun albeit a bit wet for him! The studio is well equipped of things to take photos of, books to browse and the usual facilities; a bathroom, tea & coffee, kitchen etc. I can highly recommend this course and it is suitable for everyone; from someone who has a camera that wants to learn more to someone who has only ever taken a photo with their phone! I’ll definitely be signing up for one of the other course offerings in the coming months!
