If I could rate negative 10 I would. My prepaid annual subscription failed to automatically renew despite more than enough money in recharge account and set to auto renewal. Two visits to shop front in the mall, 3 calls to customer help line (twice referred to chatbot).
“Probably an IT issue, someone will call you within a couple of days”.
Just hopeless!!!

Du is a licensed scam company in UAE where they scam their cleints with telecommunication services. They charge you excessive exit fee which is most expensice in world. They Charge 313dhs(85$) for basic home wifi for a month but they will ask for lot of additional charges when you want to cancel this plan so please be careful when taking any DU service.

I received call from du broker and he told me sir we or activet du postpaid plan on your sim and we will give you 1 device on installment but after postpaid plan activation I asked broker when I can get device he said sorry your ineligible to get device then I said cancel my postpaid plan he said you need to pay for 1 month then you need to go du office and cancel

Whether you are someone new to Dubai or have been living here for a while, do not EVER make the mistake of getting any services from Du. It's by far the worst telecom company not just in Dubai but in the world. I've been in Dubai for 6 years and have trusted Etisalat for the first several years and had virtually no issues. I made the fatal mistake of switching to Du only to be dealing with constant nightmares and headaches from them. Amongst the many problems I have faced, the ones below are seriously considered worth mentioning in hopes of deferring any future potential customers to consider and to avoid Du at all costs:
1. Simply put, they mislead and scam you with their products. They offer you one thing and provide something completely different. I am currently facing a severe issue with my internet plan despite making multiple attempts to fix it. I am paying for 800mbps internet speed and receiving less than 400mbps. Despite complaining about this for months, nothing is solved. Every problem or concern gets deflected or passed around like a ball.
2. To some extent, their customer center represents a scammer call center. They are incredibly unqualified, untrained, and have no idea how to assist customers. Any time you want to speak with someone about an issue, be prepared to feel defeated and even more frustrated.
3. Everything about this company is broken. Their system, their policies, they customer service, their products. EVERYTHING. It's even more shocking that a country like the UAE would even allow this level of standard when the country upholds its standards in all other facets of industries, so I respectfully hope that something can be done so disallow this level of abysmal service.
Long story short, avoid Du like the plague. It will only bring frustration and headaches.

Multiple issues with data connection, customer service not willing to help, they make you jump through hoops saying it is not their department (even tho you select the correct one when calling), every time you call they say they will raise the complaint, the next day you receive the message that it is resolved but the issue remains, they push you to WA chat when you call and they could help on spot, i’ve been told technical team will come to my location to check my issues but after waiting for 2 days i am told on the phone first that it will take 15days AND THEN she said it will take 24-48 ***DAYS*** for them to just take care of my complaint NOT TO RESOLVE IT TO CHECK IT.

I have never experienced anything this bad from a telecom company in my life.
I tried to cancel my plan with du multiple times, through the app, by phone, and through customer support. Every single time I was sent in circles:
“Do it in the app.”
“Call this number.”
“Go to a store.”
“Only from the registered number.”
“Only online.”
No one actually cancels it. They just delay, redirect, and make it as difficult as possible so they can keep charging you.
This is not customer service — this is a cancellation trap designed to prevent customers from leaving.
The support team is completely useless. They don’t solve anything, they just copy-paste scripts and bounce you between departments. You can spend hours on the phone or in chat and still end up with nothing done.
What makes this even worse is that du continues to charge you while pretending they are “processing” your request. This feels intentionally misleading and borderline fraudulent.
I have dealt with many companies in different countries — du is by far the worst.
No accountability.
No transparency.
No real support.
If you are thinking of signing a contract with du: don’t.
Once they have your money, you’re trapped.
Avoid this company at all costs.

Even one star is too much for their services, I spent literally a month back and forth with them to install a new package, every time there is an issue, every time they can’t solve it, I told them to change the account from my dad’s number to mine they couldn’t after many calls, they called for the package change literally they call everyday to verify with my dad and me and no technicians are sent to fix the problem. They cut the internet service now and literally made me wait 2 days.
