It was never great but now it’s ridiculous.
So many buses don’t show on 37 route (cancelled or ghost buses)- what should take 45 mins in a Dublin suburb to city can take up to 2 hours. Sometimes longer if the buses don’t arrive.
Bus journeys really unenjoyable- bus crawls along these days (seem to go about 10 mph, even on an empty road), and constant stopping and starting of engine on the new buses really irritating. Along with passengers being allowed to scream into their phones and not respect the people around them.
Coupled with that marked decline in driving standards and big increase in anti-social behaviour on bus. Think I’ll be taking the car from now on!

Bus disappears off the display at last minute. I'd rather see that next bus is 20 mins away than last min cancellation, but this seems normal for Dublin Bus. It cant be that difficult to schedule a bus service timetable and avoid the last min no-shows. Very frustrating.

As usual the 43 bus has a mind of it's own shall I depart on time or decide not to run. The frequency of these cancellations is getting out of hand. Today about 15 people in Talbot St had to wait another 50 minutes for the next bus a regular event. Passengers are treated with disdain by extremely ignorant drivers, Why? That's my regular experience on Dublin Bus.

Buses don't turn up when they are supposed to, TFI app next to worthless. Normal transport is car, without car for one day and forced to use buses. Journey that takes 20 minutes by car took 1.5 hours because 2 buses didn't turn up. No wonder every one uses a car

i would rate this bus experience 0/5 stars. i am a minor and i tapped my card getting on the bus, while my friend was putting in the CORRECT change for 3 of them he said to my friend “ and who is paying for the fourth” my friend knew i already tapped my card so she said “she already tapped her card” and he said no she didnt so she called me back down and said show him on the app that u tapped your card so i did. i got the leap card app up on my phone and showed him that i already did, he proceeded to SCREAM at me to “F-ING tap the card NOW” so i did and it beeped red , which it does when you tap twice. He said “just F-ING go” and i went upstairs but i was very upset as i feel like i shouldnt be treated and embarrassed this way by a elderly enough man. This bus is the 27 that arrived at stop 6130 at 4 aclock. i am very upset and i hope this will be dealt with as ive been told that is he rude to alot of people.

Dublin bus L14 has been a nightmare the past few days. The bus doesn’t come on time and lots of people are left stranded. Its a joke

James the guy in clontarf bus depot was so kind and helpful and I really appreciate it. he has restored my faith in humans. Thanks so much Jenny

Buses in countries where people can’t feed themselves have better services than this

N2 didn’t stop to take passengers at stoney batter stop 1648 in-spite of waving at 13:30 12th November

40E sucks. Shittiest bus ever. Everyday I have to do a cab to reach work place.

Dublin Bus seem to find it acceptable for some services to disappear off timetables or Google maps, and to pick and choose when their drivers will actually show up and when they won't. Tough luck on you if you're left standing in the cold waiting on a bus that should have been there 20/30 minutes ago. Pathetic 'service', run by ignorant people. If they had half a conscience, they might feel embarrassed

This company is total disaster 😑 45 min waiting for 120 on Parnell street.

Deffinetly the worst public service in the world. They have only 1 bus from west to the south S8 and everyday is cancelled, the worst part is that is cancelled at the time when everybody going to work. 6 months I live in the west and I was late to work 80% of the time because of this bus. And they don't care when you complaint to their official page, they literally laugh in your face.

Terrible way of transport 2 w4s went by without having there signs on to show there the w4 and every bus in the past hour has shown not in service do not depend on these

Totally appalled by the shitty service of Dublin bus especially during the weekends. Today, 8th November 2025, Saturday, I was waiting at the Celbridge bus stop for over half an hour. The bus is delayed without any notice whatsoever. Even on their shitty TFI live app, it shows that the bus will only go till Bachelors walk and nobody knows the reason. Irish bus and Irish trains won’t ever work perfectly and they don’t care a damn about their shitty customer service.

Don't expect to get anywhere on time with Dublin bus

this organisation has lost every ounce of my respect. As an irish citizen i am apaulled that this company is still in business it is a disgrace to the country. thank you dublin bud for once again not only coming 17 minutes late, but once you did come you decided to not let me on said bus and drive past leaving me stranded,drenched, and once again late for school as this is the second time this week and i will more than likely end up with detention. i wonder will i ever live to see the day where one of your busses actually come on time and in a mannerly order.

Had another great experience today as had a bad morning due to another matter Had to go to Clarehall lovely bus man with glasses on the 27 bus stopped asked me where I was going he put down the ramp and got on bus as it was raining When I got to Clarehall he told the other passengers who were waiting to get on to wait and put down the ramp so kind to a person that has a mobility issue a little kindness goes along way a credit to Dublin Bus
