Really Bad Customer Satisfaction
Good negotiations but car arrived with no ability to get Road Tax as the V5C was incorrect, so had nearly wait a week when when I couldn’t drive until I called them to allow me to tax my £42k car THEN when I wanted to sell it, the V5C log book was all wrong resulting in me losing a good deal on another vehicle. I rang them twice for support but they never really helped out and now I’ve lost a part-ex deal minus £2,500 because of their ineptitude. All talk, no service.
Buyer beware.
I purchased a BMW in September after having agreed that the engine management light fault, and the radio head unit faults would be corrected and an MOT would be carried out. On arrival to collect the car I noticed that the radio head unit had not been fixed and the MOT had been "forgotten". It was agree that a replacement radio would be ordered and on return the MOT would be carried out. After 1 day the engine management light returned and car became virtually undriveable so I limped back to the garage to have the issues corrected. After a week or so I was told that all was fixed and I could collect the car. I checked the MOT history on line and to my horror discovered that the car had 3 dangerous faults and should never have been driven in the 1st place. I was not told about this I had to find out for myself, so I was sold a car unfit for the road. On collecting the car again no apologies or explanation were given pretty much there are the keys now go away! I did, but after less than a mile the engine management light returned to my disgust. I returned the car and a full refund was agreed but no compensation for my fuel, I live 45 miles away and had 6 trips, or road tax bearing in mind I had only driven the car for less than 3 days!. Again no apology no explanation and certain individuals were just plain rude and need a lesson in customer service. An all round appalling experience, buyer beware!!

Avoid for a higher value car
We have bought several cars from Eclipse over the years. Usually there is an issue mechanically with the car that needs attention and usually they respond quite promptly. Unfortunately, they seem to have a different policy. We purchased a car 3 months ago for £39,000. In those 3 months it has been consistently in and out of garages to repair faults. Eclipse repair garage did have it for 4 days and claimed they repaired the fault. Paid them for the repairs, the car still has the faults/warning lights. Eclipse response: must be a new fault.
To date, the car has been unusable for 4 weeks of the 3 months we have had it.
Total cost of repairs: £1900 with more to come.
I wouldn't recommend Eclipse for a higher value car as they wont honor their warranty.

Warranty Issue
Quick update on my recent purchase.
I had an engine light come on shortly after buying my car.
The horror stories you hear regarding garages and warranties had me dreading the phone call but nothing could be further from the truth.
I called Paul who told me to take it to a local garage ( I live 200 miles from where Eclipse are based).
Despite the garage I took it to’s dealings with other warranties, they said Eclipses was the easiest and most straightforward and was settled the same day the invoice was presented.
I really can’t recommend this company highly enough. They are a genuine top notch company reflected by a highly professional team.
Thanks Paul and Maria and the team for taking the stress out of this whole experience.
