Dear e.l.f. Customer Service Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I have been using e.l.f. products for over a year now and have always had a positive experience. As a brand, you pride yourselves on being hypoallergenic and using ingredients that are safe for all skin types. This commitment inspired me to try your range with confidence, and up until recently, I had never encountered any issues.

However, I recently had a concerning experience with your e.l.f. Tinted Lip Gloss, which I have attached to this email for reference. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was the lip gloss causing the reaction, as I hadn’t experienced any adverse effects with other e.l.f. products. Unfortunately, my reaction was severe, requiring me to seek medical attention from my GP, who prescribed medication to address the allergy and swelling. I have attached a photo of my reaction for your understanding.

To be honest, the reaction was extremely distressing. The swelling and skin irritation were so severe that I had to stop using all skincare products to prevent further irritation, as the inflammation and weeping of the skin worsened with product use.

I sent you this email on October 12 but have yet to receive any acknowledgment from your team. Unfortunately, the problem still persists, and as a result, I will now be seeing a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment.

This experience prompted me to do some research, which is still ongoing, and I discovered that some ingredients in your lip range may trigger reactions in individuals with extremely sensitive skin. As someone with atopic eczema and highly sensitive skin, I was disappointed to learn that a brand known for using safe ingredients could include components that pose risks to those with skin conditions like mine.

I believe it would be beneficial for e.l.f. to consider adding labels that distinguish products suitable for normal to super-sensitive skin. Including a specific warning for those prone to eczema could help ensure a safer experience for all customers.

I am unsure if you have come across discussions on social media, such as TikTok, where other customers have shared similar experiences with e.l.f. products. If certain ingredients in your products are causing reactions, it could potentially lead to larger issues for the brand. I wanted to share my experience with the hope that you might take this feedback into consideration and review the ingredients in your product range.

I want to emphasize that I have no intention of pursuing this matter further, as I have been able to manage the reaction so far with the help of my GP. I genuinely appreciate the quality of e.l.f. products overall, and my intention is to bring this matter to your attention in the hopes of seeing improvements for those with extra-sensitive skin.

I’ve just discovered Elf Cosmetics. They are brilliant. Affordable and good quality. I think they are missing a trick not targeting older ladies (I’m 54). For years I have struggled to buy eye make up that is comfortable and suitable to wear all day/night long. Spent loads on expensive manufacturers and it’s been wasted due to sensitivity of the products. Going through menopause causes changes to your skin but these products have defied the odds for me. I would like to see more eye shadow colours come out as they are limited but you have a whole untapped market waiting there for you, Elf.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with e.l.f. Cosmetics' customer service team, and I have to say, they went above and beyond to ensure my issue was resolved quickly and fairly.

The return process was straightforward and hassle-free. I appreciated how clear their return instructions were, and they even provided a detailed breakdown of my order to clarify any discrepancies. What truly stood out to me, though, was the responsiveness of their customer care team—many of my emails were answered in under 5 minutes!

Not only were they incredibly quick to reply, but they were also very understanding and cooperative throughout the entire process. When I pointed out a slight issue with my refund, they reviewed it immediately and issued the correction within minutes. I just got the elf cosmetics camo hydrating concealer and its the best concealer so far at an affordable price . Doesn’t crease at all. Feel the luxury at an affordable price

Website purportedly allows you to match foundation shades - you put in the brand you're currently using and they tell you the e.l.f. equivalent. Only... they don't. And if you use the "chat now" feature they tell you "we don't like to match to other brands" Never worked with a company so full of crap.

Been ordering for over a year, placed an order today, my bank wouldn't allow it as it was not a secure website!!! Seriously what is going on????

Ordered from here before and had the best experience. Ordered a over a week ago which should have been delivered Friday (26/4/24) no confirmation email, no tracking and no order on my app even though this is where I ordered it. Money has been taken and I gave them my PayPal transaction for a refund as it's too late now. They have completely ghosted me now, so had to go through PayPal for my money back.
It's a shame their customer service stinks cause I love their products.

Ordered lovely lip liners and liquid poreless primer from Elf and they shipped it the same day! My order got delivered the next. Very efficient and good value for money. Ordered brushes and putty bronzer from them previously, which are also really good.

I recently ordered online through the e.l.f website despite having seen reviews about delayed delivery. I accepted that it may take weeks to arrive especially as I live on a Scottish Island and there are always delays with delivery companies. To my delight and surprise, I orders last Thursday and took delivery on the Saturday. Amazing service and the products are great. I know everyone has different experiences but I only have good things to say.

Terribile service.I went to official website to register and the account newer workshop. I purchasea a night mask.After 3 hours I regretted it. I wrotes e -mail in english and italian. Nothing respose. Open The disputed with paypal and they wtite me in english that I have one hour to cancelled order. In Italy I have seven day. This is illegal. This brand work in Italy with English' law. Itnis illegal

I placed an order nine days ago and it still hasn't arrived. Not impressed at all.

For a viral brand in 2023 their service should be much better and much more efficient than this and this occurrence will definitely prevent me buying directly from the brand in the future as I rarely experience delays like this and from reading other reviews I can see that this has been an ongoing issue even though they’re blaming it on Black Friday. Hire more warehouse staff, it’s very simple, you’ll save money because people will buy more products directly from you rather than retailers.
Sent an email to customer service and they just told me to wait longer.

Order has since arrived, I’ve altered my review because their products are amazing, and I love that they’re cruelty free
