We have recently had a Bathroom fitted by Elixir Bathrooms. From the moment we walked into the showroom, to the end of the project, Elixir Bathrooms have been excellent. We would highly recommend them. Thank you to all the team.

This is the second time we've used Elixir Bathrooms for a complete bathroom refit. Their service has always been excellent and the quality of the materials they use is extremely high. Phil worked with us to produce a design that fulfilled our requirements and looks great. Furthermore, the fitters were very professional and worked to a timetable that we received before the work commenced, so we knew exactly what to expect and when.

Best in the business. I would recommend anyone to use Elixir for a new bathroom suite. Elixir supplied me with everything for my new en suite and the results were incredible, everything was top quality and built to last. The customer service that I got from all the staff was amazing and you don't see that very often anymore. If you want a new bathroom with a wow factor and the best customer service....Elixir is the place to go.

We had two en-suites, a bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom completely refitted after 17 years and we chose Elixir Bathrooms for the task. We had superb guidance in the showroom from Phil on a number of visits, the fitting team were outstanding, especially Chris, and the entire job was complete within 6 weeks. Of course, there were unseen issues to deal with but these were taken in their stride and resolved without any real intervention from us. We also had excellent follow-up from Joab after completion. I wish Elixir also did kitchens as they would be number one on the list for us.

What truly great service and support we received from Elixir Bathrooms recently. We purchased bathroom fittings and units for 3 of our bathrooms and their knowledge and product selection was just fantastic. When we received the units, all on time and in perfect condition I can honestly say the quality was just exceptional and we couldn't be happier. Would definitely recommend them

7 years ago I bought a full bathroom suite from Elixir Bathrooms. Just recently I had a problem with a towel radiator, the paint was starting to lift/bubble from the surface. The towel radiator had a manufacture’s guarantee of 5 years. I approached Elixir in the hope that they might be able to sort something out with the manufacturer - possibly a discount on a replacement! They contacted the manufacturer on my behalf to argue that this shouldn’t happen to a 7 year old towel radiator.
To my surprise Elixir managed to negotiate a new item and not only that, it was in my home the next day. I received emails even on a Sunday when they needed more information from me. From start to finish it took 5 days. The after sales service from Elixir is top rate, personal and professional which is not something readily seen these days. Incidentally after 7 years my bathroom fittings still look like new, bar the radiator problem the quality of materials are top drawer.

In 2011 ELIXIR bathrooms fitted a bathroom for us and it was beautiful. However, when problems occurred they didn’t want to help.
Over time we noticed cracks and crazing in the tiles. 18 months after fitting we contacted them about problems with tiles after my own research suggested they had been fitted using “dot and dab” which is contrary to British Standards.
They sent a tile manufacturer representative round who said there was no issue with the tiles. Elixir said it was probably movement in my house (there is no movement in my house and previous tiles on some of the same areas did not crack) they offered us replacement tiles, adhesive and grout as full and final settlement. This was no use as the expense of having them removed and replaced was nearly £2,500 and unaffordable for us at the time after having spent £7,500 in the first place. I refused their offer and Phil Gretton told me to take them to court! I employed a surveyor who could not say what was behind the tiles but did point out the lack of ventilation (no ventilation was fitted by Elixir) and confirmed no movement in my property)
I didn’t take them to court as I could not prove anything without destroying the room and we could not afford to throw good money after bad.
Forward 8 years and I have just had to have the shower replaced and on removing a tile our plumber was horrified at the state of things behind the tiles. There are large voids under all the adjoining tiles (I can place all four fingers beyond second knuckle into them) and presumably under the rest too. The tiles have indeed been affixed using dot and dab. I invited Phil Gretton to come and take a look and he stands by the method used as an “industry standard” in order to level up uneven walls. I’d say the almost £5000 fitting fee they charged me would have included some levelling up of the walls and fitting the tiles to the correct British Standard.
Overall I’d say Elixir will present you with a lovely looking bathroom but may cut corners on what you can’t see. If you find issues caused by these cut corners later on then you’re on your own.

My reply to Elixir 27/01:

The point is it has not been fit for looking at for about 10 of the last 11 years, but you refused to repair your mess! There are ugly cracks throughout which are impossible to clean. In places there are sharp edges which could be dangerous, so it really has not been fit for purpose. Do you really stand by a bathroom that you fitted outside of British standards?
I had the new bathroom fitted because I became disabled and it is a constant fear that I may fall into the tiles and that they may break and cause me serious injury, because there is nothing behind them but a few blobs of adhesive and very large gaps! I suspected this but have only recently seen it with my own eyes!! You saw it too!!
Why didn’t you own it and do the right thing 9.5 years ago? You knew very well what the issue was and I was reasonably sure too after a little research.
Why were my choices to pay an additional £2,500, take you to court or live with it? I’m sure most people expect tiles to remain uncracked for a bathrooms lifetime barring a serious impact, yet I estimate that over 90% of mine are cracked including up to ceiling height.
I invited to you come and look. I had hoped that you would be honourable and offer at least an apology; and perhaps some contribution towards the retiling of my bathroom, as well as suggestions on how to go about this.
If the tiles had been fitted correctly it would still be a beautiful room even after 11 years.

(I’d add as well that I don’t live in some 400 year old cottage with wonky walls, I live in an ex MOD property, it’s well built and the walls are straight so there really wasn’t a great deal of levelling up to do. This negates your excuse for the application of “dot and dab”.)

We wanted something a little different, others said no you cannot do that. Elixir Bathrooms said of course we can do what you wish. The result is a fantastic shower room and separate toilet. .The service provided was exceptional from the first visit to the showroom to the completion of the project. The whole team combined to provide us with a fantastic shower room with an extra toilet. Would recommend Elixir Bathrooms who supply and fit a fantastic product.

We had used Elixir Bathrooms before many years ago so when it came to renewing our en suite we knew where we wanted to get everything from. Going in with a fairly open mind we got lots of helpful advice and ideas. As we were doing the work with just the help of a friend we came across a few obstacles but a quick phone call to Elixir would either get us the answer we wanted or we were pointed in the right direction to get the information. It has taken us a while to do but we are very pleased with the result. Thank you Elixir for your support and help throughout.

I had been dreaming about getting a new bathroom fitted for a long time. I wanted a bathroom I could relax and unwind in after a stressful day, a real sanctuary! I was nervous about taking the plunge because I knew I was not going to be able to be onsite for the duration of the fit. It was important to me to find a company that could manage the whole project – I needed to be hands off. I am so glad I found Elixir Bathrooms!

I recommend this company very highly having had 3 bathrooms and one downstairs cloakroom fitted over 2 projects. Starting with their comprehensive showroom where the staff provided a first-class service in design with positive suggestions on how to achieve the 'wow factor'. As the project moved forward, changes to design were handled in their stride and I always felt that anything was possible and no trouble. All the fitters were extremely personable, tidy and professional at all times and a delight to have in my house. The results are stunning and I cannot rate Elixir Bathrooms more highly. A great family company from top to bottom.

Just had my second bathroom from Elixar, I am delighted with the service , from going into shop not knowing what I wanted , till the finish. Phill was very patient and organised everything, we knew who was coming each day, all were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I cannot recommend these highly enough. I purchased my bathroom with them 10 years ago and then my shower started leaking badly. When I rang the lady said they do not use the supplier any more but she traced my order from 10 years ago (!!!), looked up the part number and rang me back with what I need to order and the telephone number of the company. Now that is after sales service. I am sure I will need my bathroom replacing again soon and I will be going back to Elixir

We wanted our 25 year old bathroom updated and a shower installed in place of the bath. We got excellent and friendly advice form Phil and his team in the showroom and we loved the design we were shown. The install was done by freindly, experienced and helpful workmen and we are very happy with the quality of the finish.
