David has been absolutely outstanding and continues to be a huge help to us. We’re in the process of buying an old cottage, which has been extended several times and is on a sloping ground. David was helpful and responsive from his first quote to several follow up questions that have come to light during the searches.

He thoroughly assessed all areas of the house and noted a manufacturing defect on some of the roof tiles. This has resulted in part of the roof being repaired prior to exchange. He used drones, probes and accessed the roof structure. His report was thorough and easy to understand. He has also advised on results of our environmental survey, which was really useful as he knows the area well.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend David to anyone, especially when looking at older properties or complex sales. Thank you for all your advice!

David did a major defects survey (£650) on our early 1900’s property, telling us that nothing would have to be repaired within 10 years. 1 week of having the keys our roof leaks (a lot, our second bedroom ceiling needs re-plastering) and we had to spend £7000 on repairing the roof. David has taken no responsibility and no compensation has been given to us. This has ruined our excitement of being first time buyers

David is amazing! I have never found anyone to be as helpful as him right from the first telephone conversation. The process of buying a property is a stressful one but David relieved a lot of that stress; He was patient, kind and listened to all of my concerns. He advised me on other issues with the property that went above and beyond his remit. His prices are very competitive and the quality of his report was exceptional. I'm a detail person and so is he! The report was clear, concise and looked at all the things I had listed in my email to him (and more!) David responded quickly to emails, was available in a reasonably short time to do a 'major defects survey' of the house we are buying, and produced a detailed report with a number of photographs, good explanations and recommendations. In contrast to another survey experience I had in the past which was of the more bland and standard text variety. Also at a competitive price, and the survey report produced very promptly after the survey. Would be very happy to use again.
