Be careful when a Ferry crossing is cancelled !!!
The refund didn't happen until I chased up about the cancellation many months later !!
We booked a ferry crossing back in March 2025 - the crossing was for September 22nd 2025. Unfortunately, the Ferry company cancelled the crossing a couple of months after we booked it - which is no fault of Ferries.gr - but the method Ferries.gr use to communicate the cancellation is an email only, and with no read receipt. So basically, send an forget - no follow up and no phone call despite them requesting my mobile number at the time of the booking.
Their email was seen as junk/spam by my email app - (I'm pretty good a checking for junk but I did miss it on this occassion). So fast forward to the day of the ferry crossing and we were standing on the dock awaiting a ferry that would never turn up.
Once back in the UK (and €115 lighter after having to book 2 further ferries) I contacted Ferries.gr, they told me that they informed me of the cancellation via email - I requested that they re send it and It again went to my Junk folder. The email said that the tickets value would be refunded back to the card used for purchase .... IT WASN"T !!
I am annoyed that we were left somewhat stranded because they could not be bothered to chase up, with either a read receipt or, even better, a phone call, so they could be certain that the cancellation had been communicated properly.
When I said that the money had not been refunded they was very matter-of-fact about telling me that the money should be with me in a couple of days - so clearly Ferries.gr had not issued the refund until I chased them up.
UPDATE: After reading your reply below I have no desire to change my review - your initial email said you would return the cost of the cancelled ferry to the card used for the purchase. You had no concern as to whether I had received or read your email. You were happy to keep my money until I contacted you many months after the cancellation with the excuse that I might have wanted to rebook another ferry - really ??

To clarify the process, the ferry company is directly responsible for notifying passengers about modifications and cancellations of its routes.As your booking agent, we also sent an email notification as soon as we were informed. We regret that this important email was filtered into your spam folder, which is unfortunately outside of our control.
Regarding the refund, our procedure, as is standard, requires the customer to initiate the request. This is because customers often have a choice between a refund or rebooking for a future date, and we cannot take action without their instruction. We can confirm that as soon as you contacted us, the refund process was initiated.
UPDATED: We understand your frustration with the entire situation and appreciate your feedback. Based on this clarification and the resolution of your request, we would be very grateful if you would consider reconsidering your review of our service. Sincerely!

An exciting crossing…
It was a very exciting cruise from Naxos to Donoussa via Irakleia, Kofonissi with heavy seas. As we left Naxos 2 crew members started an argument and then had a physical fight. I think it was about the way the luggage had been stacked and fell over in the high seas. All the passengers were very concerned. I felt it was not a good sign for a boat setting to sea. Maybe the crew members were just exhausted. Anyway, I will never forget this cruise and in the end, thoroughly enjoyed it.
