Ordered a small item well in time for Christmas 2025 on the 17th, paying £8.00 for express courier and was told on the 19th that my item (a present for my daughter) was on its way.
The tracking information via The Shop was ambiguous so I sent two e-mails asking for clarification that went unanswered.
Eventually the item arrived on December 29th via Evri. Their tracking showed that Evri received the parcel at 17.41 on the 22nd at a ParcelShop.
Read the reviews on TrustPilot, there's plenty of 1 stars, whereas the 5 stars don't look genuine to me.

They have a secret extended returns policy over Christmas which they only honour if you’ve enquired about it, a difficult feat with no knowledge of its existence. They refuse to accept a return despite it being within 14 days of receiving the item as a gift. Slow, unhelpful and accusatory customer services. There are far better camera stores out there who actually care about their customers and cameras and not just getting and keeping money. I'm also pretty sure they have biased moderation on their onsite reviews so I'd take them with a pinch of salt and trust what's here instead.

Unbelievable. The camera arrived broken, and when I tried to contact them, they haven’t responded to any of my emails, knowing I needed it to travel to Brazil. With a broken camera! It also doesn’t come with lens cap, failed to mention that. I work in the photographic industry, and I would never recommend that careless sloppy service.

I would avoid using this company. I ordered a near mint condition K1000 which was premium priced. When the camera arrived the condition was absolutely not as described. Returning the item at my own cost, and then having to chase repetitively for my refund, was not the best experience.

Olympus trip camera arrived as described in near mint condition.

I am very happy with the camera I bought! It is in extremely good condition and is exactly what I wanted. The customer service was also quick and very helpful. An excellent source of film camera’s which I will promote to others and definitely use again.

I’m not one to leave reviews but my experience with the film camera store was just absolutely amazing! Yes the camera was in great condition and packaged incredibly, but the communication and help from the team went above and beyond! Thank you so much, I couldn’t recommend enough.

The Film Camera Store offers a good selection of cameras, and I was pleased to find the model I was looking for listed as in stock. I opted for premium shipping and placed my order with confidence.
However, the experience fell short in terms of communication and customer service. Despite the item showing as in stock and payment being processed, I received no updates on shipping. I had to reach out myself to find out why the camera hadn’t been dispatched. Only then was I informed that the item wasn’t actually in stock, although it was shipped later that same day following my inquiry.
While I appreciated the refund of the premium shipping cost, the store's response to feedback about the lack of communication felt dismissive. Delays can happen — that’s understandable — but keeping customers informed is key to building trust.
Overall, my experience was mixed. I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend Film Camera Store, but I wouldn’t warn people off either. If they improve their customer engagement, particularly around order updates and stock accuracy, they could offer a much stronger buying experience.

The item ordered was a Pentax flashgun, and its in good condition and in full working order.

Was easy to find what I needed for my son photography course

I had a similar experience to the other 1 and 2 star reviews. I ordered a reusable disposable-style camera last year. It arrived broken, so I took a photo of the damage and contacted the company. They responded back to say I could either have a new camera sent or a £10 refund. I'd paid around £35 for this purchase, so I chose to have the replacement. Then they stopped communicating with me. I emailed them several times, I reached out over Instagram, I was ignored for months. Finally I requested a chargeback through my bank and in the end this was refused because apparently the shop told them I hadn't returned the item. They'd never told me to return the item and I'd already chucked it in the bin given that it was broken. In the end I let it go because it wasn't that much money, and I was clearly not going to get anywhere with these people or the person who runs this shop. They're incompetent and should find another job

Camera as described and seems to be in good working order (haven’t processed any film yet) and delivery was quick. The only minor complaint was the cleanliness of the camera. It was dirty enough that I needed to wash my hands after handling it. Easy enough to clean myself and the key thing is the operation of the camera so overall good, thanks.

I placed an order here 1 year ago, received a faulty camera, and after repeatedly trying to get in contact via all forms of customer service (phone, voicemail, email), I never got a reply.

My boyfriend was finally getting round to getting the gifted camera fixed (at his own cost), when I thought I'd try the customer service email one more time. I got an immediate reply and offer of either a full refund or new working model to be sent out next day delivery - they informed me that new management have taken over.

So if you have an unanswered mail, try again one more time:)

Fujica Film camera they sent me was faulty and not fully refurbished as they claimed. Overpriced. For half the price I could get one in better condition from Ebay.
