Avoid Spreadex at all costs. My account was wrongly restricted without notice after fraud attempts, leaving me unable to close trades and losing over £90,000. Their communication was misleading, inconsistent, and dismissive — treating me like the fraudster instead of the victim. Complaint handling was appalling, with delays, contradictions, and denials. Absolutely no trust in this company

There are good and bad things about…
There are good and bad things about Spreadex. Half the staff were very helpful and the others not . I was asked to leave the site due to their belief if was vulnerable. I’d just joined. They certainly do not know me to say that, but I has asked for help and simply could not clearly understand a person , as he was from another country. I told him I didn’t know what I was doing and at one time asked to speak to someone else.
After I was reviewed I waited to hear via phone and got 3 messages. One was I could start trading again and the other was they would return my account money to my bank which hasn’t arrived as yet. Do they know what they are doing, well no I think not.

When I phoned before the event to ask what happens when an investment trust merges with a fund, I was told the position would roll into the newly formed (same named) fund. This is not what happened; my position was closed and I had to crystallise a loss. So I closed my account
