Poor online tools, with not enough information to finish the assignments to the level they expect. They take over a week to get back to you on assignments. Rather than giving you one lot of feedback, they make you resubmit work over and over again. Giant waste of time. And I heavily regret choosing them for my fitness study.

Currently studying with Australian Fitness Academy online the experience has been really good I am learning a great deal more than I expected and support if needed is only an email away.
The way the online course is set up makes it very user friendly to study and to do assessment tasks which also indicates your progress.
Very good experience so far and would recommend this to anyone looking to study Personal Training.
I found it is complementing my years of Martial Arts Training to a point that I am receiving interest from people wanting me to train them in their individual fitness goals.
My advice go for it you have got nothing to lose.

They are a joke! They bring out new course material but if you are working off the old course material they don't let you know there is an updated version you just get marked unsatisfactory because the old material says to only measure the right side of a person so it's not so invasive. Then when you resubmit your assignment (as they tell you that doing 3 different programs for someone who goes to the gym 3 times a week is wrong, they'd rather you did one program for a person to do the same program all week) after they have said doing the right side only is ok it comes back with this still a problem. Also your new program is wrong as it doesn't include a lunge??? My program only had 3 different compound leg exercises targeting the 3 main muscle groups! This is constantly a problem as they outsource a lot of their marking so you can't speak to the person who does the marking. Student support tell you they will speak to them but obviously don't. The amount of work they make you do between a log book and work experience is ridiculous and gyms are not happy to let you do all the work with clients that afa want you to do. To top all this off, I had a major injury to my right hand that left me unable to use it for 6 months. They gave me a 3 month extension initially but when I needed longer they made me pay for another extension despite having a Drs certificate and gave me no avenue to argue my case or even let them know what had happened. These jokers don't deserve a cent of my money and I definitely would advise you not to get sucked in and give them a cent of yours.

Very disappointed.
Completed my Cert III and IV in Fitness with them.
The had terribly slow response times, and when they made errors, forced me to wait months on end to be granted my certificates.
Poor service, with never being able to spell my name correctly, small things play a big part, and in a industry based of service not even getting a simple name correct is very poor.
Made you jump through hoops to be granted recognition for prior learning, being told your past hours of placement don't count nor your years of university work.

I couldn't have chosen a better course provider than Australian Fitness Academy. AFA have always been a helping hand when I am struggling with assessments or if I needed a query to be answered in relation to an assessment or a related topic and even at one point when I felt I could not continue due to personal reasons the student support staff offered their guidance to allow me to keep at it and because of that commitment I am still pushing through with my studies and nearing the conclusion of my Certificate IV.

Loved the experience and the people i have met. They have certainly changed my outlook on what a becoming a Personal Trainer means and changed my outlook on my own training. I can not thank them enough and would recommend them to as many people as i can

I have enjoyed every bit of the Certificate iii & Iv in Fitness at Australian Fitness Academy. The lectures are all very articulate, enthusiastic, and encouraging. The Student Support are fantastic, always ready to help and answer questions.
For me as an older student, it was great, I wasn't treated any different to the twenty year olds, except in the physical part, where my age and capabilities were taken into account.
I have had many lectures where I struggled to keep my eyes open, but never here. The lectures were always delivered in an upbeat way, you could tell the lecturers loved their job and their enthusiasm was inspiring.
I would recommend AFA to anyone wanting to be a part of the fitness industry. Thanks

Like anything in life, with AFA you get what you exactly put into it. AFA has a great student support network that is genuinely always available. Whether it's industry information, career progression consultation, personal/professional development, etc AFA's student support network (including incredible industry leaders) will always go above and beyond to guide/assist you.

What I most enjoyed about AFA is that it's not just about smashing out course materials. The lectures (as well as your peers) will always push you to strive for the best. This course is not for people who are still "figuring out" what you want to do; come prepared and come with a drive. What I gathered from my time in the course is that... AFA is trying to push out industry leaders who will make an impact in our struggling industry. You'll also meet like minded driven individuals who are also keen to succeed and if you're as fortunate as I was; you'll make life long friends

If you want to get the most out of the course. I highly recommend doing the course in person. Don't expect things to be spoon fed to you because, if you're the type who is going to "wait" and "receive" you won't get very far in the course or industry. It's all about how much GRIT you put into.

With that said, the course is super interactive (both physically and mentally), challenging, thought provoking, and definitely worth the time/commitment you're putting into it.

Fairly straightforward course and plenty of detail. Needs some minor tweaks to the interactive PDF's to allow easier data entry.

I completed my Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness with PT qualifications with the Australian Fitness Academy June 2016, graduating as a Premier PT! During my study I felt fully supported, my questions were answered quickly, and it was great to be able to speak with an someone via phone, Skype or email. The lectures were easy to listen to and the lecturers excellent. The content of the course was in depth and I loved being able to put this into practice during my two practical placements. I graduated from the academy feeling confident and knowledgeable, and now run my own small business that is growing by the day. Thank you Australian Fitness Academy for turning my dream into a reality!!

I have found student support very helpful and quick to respond to my questions.Overall I have been satisfied with the online course but was disappointed that I completed my cert 111 then had to do another bridging course before I could start my cert 4 which was not previously explained to me .

The AFA are a fantastic organisation that delivered a thorough and interesting course. As a result of their professionalism and their up to date course content I have establish a professional business and have a sound basis of knowledge that I have continued to grow upon.

Certificate 3 and 4 final assignments were very similar. So they wasted my time. Plus they don't process stuff quickly.

AFA very good support with AFA would recommend them to others in the industry.

Thoroughly enjoying my studies, course subjects go into a lot of detail. Although there are a lot of assignments I require someone to participate in a exercise program which can become tricky when I do not have a lot of family or friends available to help out and my partner does not always have the time to help complete these with me it can be a struggle to get them done on time. But aside from that it has been great so far, I am learning alot.

This company is amazing, they're very helpful and informative. Also offer online help as well as webinars to attend. Only thing which isn't a big problem is sometimes I'd be waiting for results of an assignment for over a week and it should be received within 5 days. Obviously sometimes the assessor's are busy but if this could be fixed for future students then that'd be really helpful.

Slow correcting process. I had asked for it to be speed up a little bit because I had a job opportunity. They took even longer than any other time to correct it. Otherwise, not bad content, learnt more one on one with my boss than I did in the course
