Floorworks did a fantastic job on our old wooden floors, completely renewing them. They were helpful in fixing broken slats, taking out a fireplace base and adding pieces of wood to neatly connect the floors with nearby room. Excellent quality.

Original Victorian floor from 1862, Blackheath
I am very pleased with the quality of the floor sanding and finishing carried out by Floorworks.
The floorboards were in mixed condition before the work, with old repairs, gaps, stains and significant wear accumulated over many decades. The sanding was completed to a very high standard, revealing the beautiful grain and character of the original Victorian pine while preserving its authenticity.
The finish is even and consistent throughout the room, with excellent attention to detail around repairs and filled areas. The final result feels smooth, looks natural and highlights the character of the timber rather than masking it. The floor now looks both restored and original, which is exactly what I was hoping to achieve.
The customer experience was equally impressive. Everything was delivered on time, the process and finishing options were clearly explained, and the team demonstrated a deep understanding of traditional timber floors. They were professional, approachable and took great care to keep the work area clean throughout the project. There was also a genuine personal touch in their communication, which made the whole experience straightforward and enjoyable.
Floorworks clearly have extensive expertise in period floor restoration, and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality floor sanding and finishing.

It looks like all services that were included in our quote were delivered as per the specification in the quote, so nothing that was quoted for was left undone. We understand that there was an additional request from you for some additional work around the door sill, which, unfortunately, required fixing work beyond our quoted works and more suitable for general builder as some repairs and levelling were needed to prepare the subfloor and before new flooring could be installed there.

Restored oak floor
I recently moved house, and the floor in the hallway and living area was in need of renovation. I thought it might involve a completely new floor but FloorWorks reassured me that the floor was restorable with sanding and finishing. The work was made more difficult for them as there was some staining of the oak surface from previous treatment. However the end result is a beautiful light oak floor which I’m delighted with. The operatives worked really hard and were very pleasant and helpful. There was remarkably little dust as well.
I would highly recommend FloorWorks for both their knowledge of wooden floors and their workmanship

Efficient and clean
team arrived at 9am and finished by 4.30. Everything was left clean and tidy and they were very efficient. Floor looks lovely and the quality of the finish very good.

The results are amazing , and delivered by a really professional and friendly team
The results are amazing !
The team at Floorworks responded quickly to our initial request and provided a competitive quote. They were able to fit in the work without any long delays.
The work was completed quickly and with the minimum disruption and mess . The end results are fantastic, We had 3 areas that needed sanding , repairing and revarnishing and all 3 rooms were completed to an excellent condition.
The team were friendly throughout the process and gave good advice on how to best treat the finished floors.
I cannot recommend them more highly
