We’ve had a Fohan tap for two years and have been happy with it, changed the filter a few times and after doing that the water is perfect.
However I recently purchased a replacement water filter from Fohan, the filter I was replacing wasn’t really that bad, just slight stains left in a tea cup.
Their all new and improved filter arrived with a different fitting so had to drill new holes inside my cabinet.
Having linked everything up and trying the filter it soon became evident this filter was worse than the one I replaced as the cups were left heavily stained.
After contacting Fohan they told me it was because I live in a hard water area, doh!, the new improved filter is meant to combat that.
They told me they won’t replace the filter and won’t refund me. £50.
I will buy a different brand filter from now on, my tap and boiler are out of guarantee so it doesn’t matter what I use.
I will never buy from this company again and will not recommend this company as customer service is rubbish. I advise you to buy a different brand of tap, there are many choices out there.
We love our new Fohen hot water tap, it arrived pretty quickly, we had our own fitter so that was easy enough and overall it works brilliantly. If we have any criticisms at all it’s to do with the lights on the top of the tap, in daylight they aren’t very easy to see especially the one that gets the water to flow, it is only clearly visible at certain times of day, when it’s dark outside and you have the kitchen light on..

UPDATE- I have now been refunded in full thankfully. I completely understand about it being the delivery companies failure in the first instance but I shouldn’t have had to wait until you finished an investigation between your company and your delivery company, that shouldn’t of been anything to do with me and to make me wait for a refund could of been avoided. I will take it back that this is a scam company because I did eventually receive a refund. So because I received a refund I will up the star rating as you asked in your email.
Avoid this company. I’m beginning to believe I’ve been scammed. Brought a very expensive hot water tap and it wasn’t ever delivered. Customer service is nonexistent. The company is ignoring my emails. The company told me the courier delivered it to my neighbours house which it wasn’t. They said they would investigate this for me with the courier company and then nothing. No refund. No reply's to my emails.
Citizens advice advised me to write to them to make them aware my contract is with them only and any dispute the company has with the courier is between them. I don’t have a tap and out of pocket, how is that even fair.
Under the consumer rights act 2015 the retailer is responsible for ensuring your order is delivered safety and the goods are in your physical possession.
I’m starting to believe I’ve been scammed. Taken my money and no order has been delivered. I’d suggest anyone thinking of ordering a tap buys one from a reputable supplier.

Despicable company employees. No manners or respect. Especially from Ismail who has not an ounce of sales knowledge. Lied to by telling me they respond to emails in a few days as stated on their website. Not anywhere I can find. Have to chase them constantly for responses to my emails. Had a leaking tap for a while now and they say it’s because the filter needs replacing as I have hard water.
I have a water softener for my house which eliminates that issue but they still insist their filter needs replacing as my Harvey water softener doesn’t do the same job!!
Ask for pics, videos and constant back and forth. Their reasons for being unresponsive to my communication is short staffed and no one of authority working for the company at 11am. Then insist it’s more important to deal with customer orders and not with emails and phone calls.
Dismissive on the phone and rude. I wish the best for whoever orders their product next.
Before Fohen were taken over, if I had an issue they would help and send me the parts free of charge. I bought a new filter and installed as per instructions, then the issues began. My boiling tap lever was already sticking and I was told to retention the spring. Never had this issue with the previous Fohen company. They would send me a spring and the issue was resolved. Since the new owners have come in I have had to pay £10 for a spring, which you have to re-tension) and £10 for a rubber washer. After the new filter was installed my tap has failed and is now useless. The advice given by customer service has ruined my tap and after being told to descale my boiler that is now ruined and of no use. I now have two filters of no use which can’t be returned for a refund even though they are sold individually. The tap has lasted four years with filters changed as they should be. Will be looking elsewhere in the future.
Really great tap and was easy to install however, if your a tea drinker i would recommend doing more research. We bought this tap to get rid of the kettle to save space but for some reason the tap makes the tea taste ‘flat’ after googling and looking in to this it’s to do with the fact that the tea leaves require the water to be boiled to allow the air to get in to the water helping the leaves produce the ‘tea’ flavour.

Very impressed my the level or care and proactiveness from the Fohen team. I needed to replace a filter but the filters all renewed up new models. Confused I called Fohen. They answered immediately and were very helpful in providing me the correct link purchase the right product for me. I was confused about the process of replacing this part of the filter and they kindly sent me the necessary spanner (free of charge) to make it possible, as I was not provided this originally/ misplaced it.

Where to even start, purchased this boiler through with new kitchen in 2023, was not installed until November as kitchen was delayed, the kitchen fitter i used seen the Fohen brand and said to me there and then, 'return it as it is rubbish', and I will have nothing but trouble, he had one and it faulted constantly, I had it a couple of months so decided to keep it and go ahead hoping his issues were a one off, he had Fohen filters unused and asked if I wanted to buy them from him and I did as they are £50 each so it would save me money.
I regularly changed these every 6months or before as I also do with my fridge as I am aware of the importance not just for warranty but for hygiene and safety.
In July this year just under 2 years old the boiler was not heating up so I checked what the faults would be and it said to try changing filter, I had used my filters i had so i purchased a new filter from Fohen, however when I got a plumber out he said this wouldn't be the issue as filter just changed recently and he thought it was heating element and to contact Fohen, I contacted them and they sent instructions to reset and said this should work, I got plumber back out so it was done correctly and this did not work, I contacted Fohen and they said it was a boiler issue and was now out of warranty so not covered, even though I made contact within the warrant period, they offered a replacement for £150, I would happily pay this if I had confidence this would work but to last a year or 2 is simply not worth it, because they had no record of me using their filters they asked me to contact the kitchen fitter from 2 years ago to ask for his name and order number, I don't even know when he purchased these but to contact a fitter who I do not know personally, haven't spoke to for nearly 2 years and ask him to find order numbers and provide his details just seems wrong to me, considering their countless negative reviews about boiler issues I would imagine they would know these issues are not just a one off, they reduced the boiler cost to £100 with a 1 year warranty as this is now reduced since they were taken over. Now this to me speaks volumes, why was the warranty reduced? they have no confidence in the product working past a year? so they want me to spend £100 on a boiler because the original one they supplied to me stopped working just before the 2 year mark, they want me to spend £100 a year on filters, for it to break down, I will also add they changed the brand of filters, the ones I had were fohen, the new ones are completely different with different housing, why were these completely changed, were these inadequate also?
I would honestly avoid at all costs, terrible customer service for something which seems to happen alot, I have read reviews and facebook posts about these boilers failing, you are best off spending money on a more reputable branded boiling water tap or just buy a kettle to save the hassle I have had. also do not purchase a brand new fohen filter from ebay/market place without getting the order number and purchase name as they will void your warranty. Shocking service, inadequate product, I wished I had listened to my kitchen fitter.
Brilliant 4-in-1 flex tap which fits perfectly into my new kitchen. The installation was a little tough as the instructions had changed from what was included due to a change in fixings. Once I contacted the friendly helpful support this was resolved, but the 4 stars as we had been debugging the install about an hour at that point.
Tap looks brilliant. The boiler unit goes to 98c which is higher than the advertised 95c for the flex tap. This is a massive improvement, as I had debated an alternate tap for the higher temperature. I am very pleased with the tap currently, and I hope that I can continue enjoying it for a long time to come.

I am extremely happy, the item arrived very quickly. It was very well packaged and contains everything you need to install it. The quality of the product feels great but I have only experienced a few boiling water taps, but the quality of this one is much better than the others I have used.
I am a reasonable DIY`er and was a little nervous about installing the system myself but with the very clear instructions I found it very easy to install.
I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking to install a boiling water tap

If I could give 10 Stars for my experience with Fohen I would. They have gone absolutely above & beyond to ensure I’m happy with my instant hot water tap. I wanted to swap for a different colour & Ismail happily took time out of his weekend & met me on a Sunday afternoon when he wasn’t actually working just so he could show me any other options I liked. Without any issues at all he swapped my tap for me & also gave me an extra spout for free. Absolutely blown away by this gesture, it made my day!! Truly great experience all round & couldn't be happier with my tap, it looks great. 10/10 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
