No reply to phone number, late delivery so late that the birthday was missed and no reply to the complaint afterwards.
Matcha cake was so bitter that it hung in the throat.

Late Delivery, tasteless cake. Lemon drizzle cake tasted of nothing and left a weird film in everyone's mouth. Delivery kept being put back. Looked nice but wouldn't recommend or use again.

So I ordered a 8 inch strawberry and cream cake. I so wish I hadn't ! I expected a buttercream finish freshly made cake instead I ended up with 'cake box style' cream on the cake, no sight of any jam, thick layers of frozen sponge and YES the sponge cake was frozen as it was, hence the dryness and the soggy macarons ! The cake was so dry and terrible I wish I had purchased from Cake Box at least the sponge would have been soft and edible. Needless to say the cake went in the bin and was not worth the money I spent, £84 down the drain or gutter should I say !

To top things off I emailed Freddie's and their customer service was as crap as the cake, no response, no etiquette for customer service ! So the moral of this story is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CAKES FROM FREDDIES. Your 5 yr old can probably make a better tasting cake !

Okay so let's start with the positive: the cake itself was brilliant - it looked like the photo, it tasted great and the price was reasonable.

Now here comes the BUT - like almost everyone below, the cake arrived two hours AFTER the end of the promised delivery slot. We had ordered it for a 50th birthday lunch that we were hosting and the cake arrived long after we had left for the party venue. We couldn't wait any longer so bought a fewf shop cakes from Waitrose instead. So we had a cake for 40 people and there were just two of us to eat it when we got back from the party. We wasted rather. a lot of money.

Freddie's neither explained nor apologised and answer neither phones nor email. Freddie's make cakes for special occasions, but there is not much point in having a cake if it arrives AFTER the event it was intended for. They have to sort their logistics out otherwise they will go under.

So ONLY order a Freddie's cake if you are happy to take what appears to be a huge risk that it won't arrive on time. And know that you will get no response from them at all.

Service appalling ..seriously you ask people to book a time slot and yet you are 4.5 hours past the time and my cake still hasn't been delivered?
As a company aren't you embarrassed about all these bad reviews
You have my money but I have nothing to show for it and a room full of guests with no cake !!!
To say I won't order from you again is an understatement , I'll also warn everyone I know about this negative experience

Ordered cake with over a weeks notice. Agreed deliver time of 3pm. Got an email at 2pm saying cake would arrive before 6. At 6 I tried to contact the bakery. No answer to the phone so replied to the email. Was told that they would get an update from the driver and let me know, but that there was a further delay. No update came. Cake finally arrived after 7pm, long after my guests were gone, and while beautifully decorated, the cake was very over cooked and dry. Ruined what was supposed to be a very special day.

I've given 2 stars because I've had many issues with this cake, it didn't look as I saw it in the picture. The delivery was meant to to be between 3 to 7 pm but had to change due to transit and the cake being destroyed. We cut the cake yesterday the cake had hard bits and wasn't tasteful at all.

Absolutely deplorable. Do yourself a favour and order from ANYWHERE else. Let me down on the day for my daughter’s 16th birthday. Please please please don’t put yourself through this kind of experience.
