I submitted an email almost a week ago about an issue concerning my previous meal choices. I have yet to receive any correspondence. I feel that not helpfully replying to a customer's complaint/concern in a timely fashion is not good customer service.

Heavy on the meat, low on veggies

I have been using Fresh for a few months. So far most of the meals have been tasty. My biggest issue is they are heavy on the meat and low on veggies. And very heavy on red meat. I've eaten more red meat since I started than I usually eat. For a company that wants to get people to eat healthy, this isn't really healthy. But the convivence keeps me using it. I add a salad and don't eat all the meat.

Hi Erin, sorry to hear you're not loving the meals you've ordered. Luckily, we now have preference based options. You can go in and select that you don't want any red meats in your order. Or, by using our meal selector, you can select the exact meals you're getting and avoid the ones you don't enjoy as much. We hope you'll try these solutions and consider changing your review!

Started out strong, but...

I started ordering Fresh N Lean meals approximately three months ago. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and enjoyable the meals were from the first order. However, over the past several weeks, it seems the quality has fallen off dramatically, and the portions of certain dishes appear slightly smaller. I can't help but wonder if there's a connection between the diminished quality and portions and the recent introduction of higher priced "premium" meal selections. These changes have me questioning my continued commitment to Fresh N Lean versus taking on the task of meal prepping for myself.

Thankfully, each of our meals in the meal selector will tell you the nutritional information necessary to help inform your decision on what meals to get based on the quantity of calories or other macros. You may also consider the premium meal options as they are designed for customers who desire a higher quantity or quality of meals. We hope you will try these solutions, and consider changing you review!

My fitness pal numbers are not always accurate, and meals are often not listed.The meals themselves are GREAT! Can you make the my fitness pal data more accurate and complete?

Vegan food is 8 out of 10 but customer service is poor

The vegan food is an 8 out of 10 but customer service is lacking. Food is creative, diverse, healthy and tasty. I went without spice for a few weeks to see but prefer the mild spicy versions.
Only problem I've had is that I had one delivery that was damaged and two of the items were punctured and rendered unusable. I contacted the company but no one ever got back to me. I even sent pictures. I was not refunded the amount for the meals or sent replacements the following week. Still waiting to hear back.

Hit or Miss

The meals are hit or miss—some of them are very satisfying while others are really bland. Customer service is also hit or miss—emailing them seems ineffective but you do get results when you contact them via chat…after you wait quite a while for an agent to get to you. The big problem with FnL is that delivery doesn't seem reliable and the company doesn’t proactively deal with delays, these things are deal killers when you're paying a premium for convenience. This past week my meals didnt show up by Saturday as they guaranty and I had to contact them first via email and then via chat to find out what was going on and request a refund. FnL should strongly consider proactive communication when meals wont arrive by Saturday and an automatic refund in that situation.

Good food, bad app

Food is good and heats up quickly. I don't like web page to manage meals and delivery. I wish I could manage whether to skip or not skip meals more than 3 weeks in advance. The user interface overall needs improvement and it would be nice to have a mobile app.

Poor meal selection. Misleading communication

Not for vegetarians or vegans. I signed up. I immediately realized there were only three meals within the parameters I set for my plan. The meals are not very high protein and don't look particularly good. So I immediately canceled my subscription. The site insisted on making it inactive instead of cancelling. And I had to wade through a few misleading messages making it seem that I will be get my money refunded. I can't recommend this meal plan service. Perhaps it is better if you eat meat. Based on my experience, avoid this meal service at all costs

Don’t waste your money on this!

Ordered two plans the same day. One for me one for my husband. A week later I check to see if the orders had been sent and they only sent one of my orders. Contacted customer service to see what was going on and they informed me that one of the meals were out of stock so they canceled the entire order for one of the plans. They never informed me of this. With the order they did send we never even received it. We did receive a refund after contacting customer service. Definitely would not recommend using their service.
UPDATE. We finally received our order 5 days after it was supposed to arrive. All the food was thawed and smelt terrible

I'm terribly sorry to hear about this recent experience, this is not a common protocol for an order to be fully cancelled if we do not have a meal in stock so that is very frustrating to hear. We did run into a lot of delay issues with our couriers due to recent weather conditions and I apologize you had to get caught in that, our protocol with the courier is to dispose of delayed deliveries at this is perishable so I will be forwarding this over to start a claim as well. I'd like to take a look into this further to get down to the bottom of why these errors occurred. Used to be good

When I first started using FNL I was a big fan. Meals were good (with a few bumps in the road) and customer service was top notch. I took a break for about 6 weeks and recently returned only to find everything had changed.
Now the food is just so so. Many of the meals are over seasoned or overcooked and just look plain unappealing on their website. The protein that appears in its normal form is steak which is usually a stellar choice. Chicken is typically diced or chopped and overcooked and stringy. I know chicken can be difficult to prepare for reheating but this has become very unappetizing.
And lets not forget how far they have gone from a typical home cooked meal of meat, veg and delicious sweet potatoes diced or mashed, to something only a bad restaurant would serve.
Recently I received a bad meal to end all bad meals and while emailing customer service and getting no response except the "we are experiencing high volumes of emails" excuse I waited 10 days and finally got someone on the chat line after waiting in queue for about a half hour. I finally got the refund I wanted and deserved but this is the end of what used to be a beautiful experience.
