While prices seem to have increased noticeably since last year, I have a lot of confidence in Gadget Insurance giving me comprehensive insurance coverage on my phone. I have used this company for years and although I’ve never had to make a claim, I feel that they offer a good deal. Also it’s really easy to do online with my only issue being that it’s not as straightforward to cancel the old policy,maybe because my policies are not linked by their customer recognition algorithm.

Took 5 months to to even send my phone off to get it fixed they tryed anything to deny the claim. I had to send them the same information about 10 times because they just kept saying we didnt recieve the email but then 5 months later the email just happened to be there horrible customer service.

I find Gadget Insurance really good to deal with and have multiple devices for family members insured with them

I rang to change my phone insurance to new phone & keep insurance on old phone as I passed it on to my husband, but I was told i couldn't do that I could only do new insurance on new phone, 🤔🤔🤔

They don’t respond through their eportal and don’t respond whatsoever.

Bunch of idiots. AVOID

The staff were very patient and polite on the phone. They took their time while I searched for the info they needed.

Renewal process is very unfriendly.

Excellent customer service..had to switch both our policies over to new phones.. the woman on the phone was superb.. everything sorted very quickly. For peace of mind , this company is 100% worth it.

Like a previous post, my claim began at the end of September and now here we are middle of December and still nothing, given the run around every time, "oh we've passed this over to our insurers" the Davis group, despite emails /phone calls and being told it was being "escalated" there has been no response from this gang,1 star is too much to be honest, I wonder why did I bother with this lot

If you need to make a claim with these cowboys, you will be referred to a company called Davies Group, which is an agglomerate of small insurance companies - I would say a hundred or more - which may suggest how anonymous you will feel during the claims process. You are expected to do everything online - no human interaction - and each time you send something to them they take three working days (by their own account) to reply; but in my experience, the longer the process went on the longer they took to respond.

What you had, in short, was a slow painful process of wearing down your resolve (and your nerves), rejecting one set of documents after another (WHO DOESN'T ACCEPT PDFs IN 2024??), until - as is clearly their objective - your claim is timed out. They actually took the liberty of cancelling my policy for me, which is perhaps the one thing I can be thankful for.

It's the new (old) model of insurance, folks. The process is to frustrate, thwart, and infuriate you with tedious and unnecessary requests and rejections until you give up.

(Specifically in my case, they rejected my claim because I couldn't get my phone company [a little supplier called Virgin Media] to send them details of "when the handset was first used." Virgin told me they had never been asked to supply this before and literally could not do so... How do they know when it was used first? They supplied the sale date, but no, that's not enough for Davies. They only ask the impossible.)

Woman on the phone was very helpful...she was able to cancel my old phone policy and open a new policy...all done over the phone in minutes. Definitely recommend.

if you want to get scammed use them...
no direct debit option use your card details directly alarm bells guys... didn't refund after I inputed my imei number later discovered incorrect phone model was registered! cancelled policy abysmal.
