Lousy support for retailers
As a resale point we can report that GW is rapidlly losing credibility for us. Margins are already low, and because of some online cowboys we lose even more margin. Supplies come in slow and unreliable.
The only reason to continue is because we don't want dissapoint our many loyal customers.
GW just does not care about its retailers and are very arrogant. This will surely backfire at some point.
As soon as we find a good alternative we're gone.

GW put an incorrect and inflated value of goods on the UPS shipping declaration resulting in me being forced to pay $84.08 import tax just so I can receive my package. I immediately emailed customer service and still no reply, it’s been 2 weeks now. Forced to open a PayPal claim dispute…Will never shop with GW’s website ever again

Did not dispatch order and lied and said it was being dispatched that day when I called. Still 'pending' 15 days after order. No response to emails. Turned off live chat so can't get a human other than by phone and that human said on Tuesday it was being shipped that day. It's Saturday so clearly not true. Missed my son's birthday and they truly could not give a fig about the customer. Am having to claim a refund through PayPal

Preordered a product on 07/08/23. They somehow processed payment and order without a street address. I saw it in the confirmation email, I emailed them Saturday afternoon (CS was closed). Heard from them today, 7/14, they'd reach out to their logistics center to correct. Contacted UPS, because this was a surepost they couldn't help. Called GW, was informed they can't do anything, this won't arrive, so I can cancel the order or place a backorder order. I canceled the order, they couldn't provide any info on this and suggested it be reasonable to expect some type of cancellation confirmation by next Tuesday?
First and only order from this place. Shady, poor communication, conflicting answers. This is why scalpers exist, I'd rather (but won't) pay twice as much for this sold out product on ebay than deal with this.

The most sc*mmy company I have crossed. Have been a loyal customer for nearly 30 years. Spent likely over 10k over that time.
First they cancel our most loved game, with zero warning (only days after releasing new models for an army they then removed from existance) only to now re-release it soon. Money grabbers? Surely not.
Order products and 3 seperate members of staff actively LIE about it being dispatched on a specific date....a week later then told "its on a trolley awaiting collection" and then despite them confirming incorrect information, nothing. No apology, no offer to cover postage/delay.
"Go speak to citizens advice".

I ordered some stuff the 25/06/2023 and now, weeks later, they've updated their tracking to say they haven't even shipped it yet and that it MAY arrive the 19th of July. Not only are their products incredibly overpriced, but their service is just absolutely awful. Avoid buying here, just get a 3D printer and vallejo paints.

Customer service doesn’t respond…that’s that they said they would in 4 days…its been 6…they don’t answer customer service calls. Just leave the hobby they just want money don’t care about the service you paid for…they will leave you hanging…

Don't buy directly from GW. Read this.
You'll pay 15-20% more than third party stores, have to deal with generally unresponsive customer service and slower shipping than anything I've ever seen.
Preordered leviathan from them on the 10th expecting to have it around the 24th. They now say they hope to have it shipped by the 30th.
Update July 4th.
GW say the orders shipped.
Courier says it's "manifested" in France to ship to Ireland on the 30th of June but it still hasn't moved.
Update July 7th.
Package is still in France. No response from customer service/support.
Update July 11th.
Order marked as deliverd yesterday but it wasn't. I was here all day as I work from home. GW says it'll take up to 10 working days to have it investigated.

Ich wollte Figuren für meinen Sohn zum Geburtstag bestellen… Es ist mir nicht gelungen mich anzumelden, mich zu verifizieren, etwas zu bestellen, geschweige denn etwas zu bezahlen!!!!!! Was ist mit euch?????? Man kann es ja dann mal auch übertreiben (mit was auch immer) und Kauf interessierte Kunden nicht bis aufs Blut zu nerven. Schenk ich ihm halt was anderes!!!!!

Queued on the website, ordered Leviathan for release on 24th June. It's now 27th June and the order is still in 'Pending' with an estimate of '10 working days' for delivery.
Contacted GW customer support multiple times, they first said it should be delivered on or around release day.
After release I contacted them, they said it should be shipped during the weekend. It's now Tuesday and the order is still Pending and their customer service has stopped responding.
Fan of Warhammer for 20+ years, returning to 40k with the hype around 10th Edition. Left completely disappointed and will be avoiding GW from now on.
(Looking at other reviews & twitter, seems like many others have similar experiences of this and previous releases)

Terrible Customer experience, Pre Order not being dispatched despite actual release last Saturday, furthermore unable to cancel order even though order has been in pending state for the last couple days. Staff very unhelpful through live chat but at least they reply unlike through emails.
Finally, I was looking to cancel as third party companies are offering the product much cheaper and are delivering next day!
Pre-ordering direct not worth it.
Pre-order direct instead of from an independent gaming store. Release day arrives and no product. Their carrier doesn't ship on weekends. Strange customer experience as you would get it cheaper and on release day from independent stores.

Simple question like will "Ashes of faith" get a 2nd release as a company online is allowing preorders.... Is replied with "don't know"!

Worst customer service I've ever seen had a miscast part and they did nothing. So after collecting for 20+ years I'm done with GW
gw now have bad reputation
GW have fallen from what was a respectable hobby to a company that treat tabletop games like a buisness and not a hobby. They prefer to sell to scalpers and don't care about true gamers. They dodge and refuse to answer question and quirys when you contact them. Their preorder system has now been broken since they started to make scalpers their target audience.
Everything just terrible. People can't buy the product.
GW’s doesn’t care if you get their products!
GW’s is one of the worst companies to buy from as of late. They have created this FOMO for their kill team box sets. I don’t understand how they do their preorders. The hole point of a preorder is to make sure you make enough for them. I won’t be spending any more of my money on any box sets they come out with from now on. I’ll probably still get the reading material but they have lost a 30+year long customer when it comes to buying models. I have completely gone to the 3D printing side of the gaming world because of your actions GW’s!

Consistently gaslighting customers, hyping up new products and deliberately providing a tiny amount to buy.
Shockingly bad customer service. They treat customers with utter contempt.
Broken and useless preorder system
The preorder system is broken. There is no chance for people to get a hold of a box they want on release date. At this point the company should really consider if they work for their customers or they are simply feeding scalpers.
