I'm an Electronics Engineer with 45 years experience of all sorts of electrical systems, this 'device' SCAM is total BS. Unless this device has some sort of Star Trek teleportation gizmo in it (and ev... Ver mais
At best this is a tiny powerfactor correction unit. At worst it's a tiny wall heater with an led nightlight. Cuts 90% off your electrical bill? Er, no. You have more chance of winning the Nigerian lot... Ver mais

This looks like POWER FACTOR…
This looks like POWER FACTOR CORRECTION. This is where the voltage and current phases get out of step due to inductive loads like motors.
Most appliances in households, with the exception of the washer and fridge are resistive loads which do not affect the power factor.
There may be some saving to be had from PFC of the small motors but not a lot I would estimate.
Power Factor Correction uses capacitors to offset the inductive load and is used a lot in factories with lots of induction motors.
A scam if there is one
A scam if there is one. Thought it's worth checking out though. Having measured my electricity consumption it's easy to see there is no savings from the voltex devices. Additionally, these guys are extremely annoying about returns, as well, making you jump through a bunch of hoops and make you pay return shipping. Save yourself the effort. My advice is to avoid.
Voltex BEWARE check Trust Pilot
Well done Trustpilot! Thank you nearly got caught!!
Why do people need to be so dumb to…
Why do people need to be so dumb to believe in such adverts? If it is really true, these inventors would have been nominated for the Nobel prize for helping save energy and reduce global warming!
90% energy savings! Already red flag should be raised for such exaggerated claims.
Having read all the reviews on…
Having read all the reviews on Trustpilot I am guessing this is a SCAM and a really big one. Think I will save the money and not bother..
Thanks trustpilot
Thanks trustpilot. You just saved me a 100 quid
Unfortunately doesn't save anything
Unfortunately doesn't save anything. However I can give you a good tip on how to save a fortune on lighting during the day. Open your curtains.
Google advertise misleading sites! See Edit2 for solution.
Just read the page. I was directed there by google ad. Is fantastic that some people can be deceived by this kind of scams. Reducing by 90%? Using big words they try to catch as many prey as they can. Let alone that what they say on site is totaly incorect (physical electrical proprieties, functionality, dimensions of their device, etc), just big words to catch your attention, all the reviews in that site are fake. Just try to write one review, it will be only for you to see, on your page, it is not saved (just refresh the page or go again on that page to see). Is a fake site.
Also, I found some 5 stars revies here (by mistake or voluntarily), describing bad experiences... Hey Trustpilot... can you do something about this? Can we signal to you such cases? How?
Edit: Continuing google search, I found a lot more critical sites with some true reviews about how fake the site is: they really send you devices but no economy they can do or even devices don't turn on, also you can't contact them. It is a capacitor inside which draw some 0.1 Ampers (0.1A x 120V= 12Watts power) meaning 12Watt-hours pemanently consumed from the grid (that you pay). Also, if the capacitor is not rated for power grid, it can start a fire.
Edit 2: Google send me again this ad, even I ask not to. Find a way to report scams on Google: click somwhere on ad (or right click) and choose "why this ad?"; you will have the chance to report scams! Like this, our internet will be a little bit cleaner!
Pretty obvious it was a scam as soon as…
Pretty obvious it was a scam as soon as I saw the pic of the 3 catalog model dude inventors I continued reading for a giggle. Any long winded bs site that doesn't tell you what you're even buying until you've scrolled down until your scroll wheel pops out and spins down the driveway should be avoided. Good old Google and their Adsense nonsense etc.. letting anyone advertise scam after scam. They should be liable and negligent for for not moderating advertising in my opinion. It's not like they don't have the money or manpower to moderate all that crap out but they don't care because $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. It's not a free speech thing, it's a criminal thing. I literally see hundreds of scam ads everyday. In fact I'd bet I see more scam and false advertising ads than I see legit ads. Falsely advertising something you are looking for dirt cheap but when you go there it's a pos knock off or the price is 40 times more than the advertised price. Better yet the price is right but the shipping is 4000% more than the product price to hope you slip up and don't notice.
Facebook allows the same crap as does Amazon.
I was about to press the green buy…
I was about to press the green buy button even though the Voltex units were I thought - quite expensive; - And then thought let's see what our friends TrustPilot make of it. So glad I did. I should have known better and realised it was a big Scam. Thank you TrustPilot.
Read before you buy…
Was just looking glad I looked here first,it seems we also have 2 x trustpilots as well, this gives it 1× the other 5× with a wonderful reply from voltex strange
Phew! that was close
Thank you, thank you Trustpilot, so glad I checked before almost buying this 'wonderful' gadget.
SCAM-voltex.com
SCAM! Please do not buy this! If it actually did what it claims to do; aligning the voltage and current waveforms, it would actually cost you more for your energy! It is called “Power Factor“ correction. Please treat this device and its sellers with the contempt it deserves.
So I looked up Voltex on Trustpilot
So I looked up Voltex on Trustpilot. A scam, thank you.
But here is a great tip to save electricity as long as you have a duel meter that gives you lower priced electricity overnight, ie as if you have night storage heaters.
You can buy a 24 hour timer plug from Tesco or online from Amazon for about £4 each. I have a rechargeable battery vacuum, chain saw, hedge trimmer, weed strimmer, electric golf trolley and my wife and I have tablets and mobile phones. We have 3 of the 24 hour plugs and they are used every night between 12 midnight and 7 in the morning to recharge all of our electrical devices at cheap rate (about 45% saving).
If you have a spare extension plug you only need one £4 plug to do the lot. I calculated my first year return upon the first plug I bought at nearly 700%. You cannot go wrong if you use rechargeable electrical items.
Look of course it’s a SCAM JEEZ people…
Look of course it’s a SCAM JEEZ people don’t believe a word of their or similar named Voltex products they are rubbish … DONT BUY!!!
Power Saver Scam Exposed
Glad I read Trustpilot reviews but more technical research into this device is needed by the experts like ‘Which’ who does excellent work into electronic gadgets like Voltex.
A little bit more research 🧐, I discovered that Voltex is not the only company selling similar devices. Digging even deeper into how this gadget works is quite interesting but you need to be an electronic expert. The scam is in the wording ‘saving electricity’ and not in the gadget itself. Basically, the gadget is fixing something that domestic user don’t actually pay for (Reactive Power) only large users of electricity get a discounted tariff. Domestic users only pay for Real Power and this why they are still allowed to sell these devices. So don’t waste your money it’s a scam playing on people’s lack of knowledge.
Boris , give us a break !
Why oh why do our lawmakers allow such blatant abuse of the people?.
This SCAM has been operating for a long time , tut tut they say ! Awful! But they continue to operate because our government allows them to cream the workers , the old, the poor, the vulnerable.
WHEN WILL THEY TAKE ACTION ????
OMG,I've just used my card to purchase…
OMG,I've just used my card to purchase a plug, from vortex, i can't afford it really but my bills are so high and the ad was convincing. I hope no one else is as stupid as me, i may be disabled but my brain should still work.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
SCAM SCAM SCAM
As an electrical engineer I know that Voltex is totally useless. Don’t be fooled.
