I had the best experience with get your pet! The process was easy, questions were answered quickly, and it was great to connect and chat with the guardian to find out everything about the dog prior to our meetup. I'm so happy to have my sweet girl Cricket now and would recommend the site to anyone!

I am beyond thankful for Get Your Pet as it was a successful and positive experience for my family. Sadly due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to move out of state, and can't bring our beloved dog, Pollyanna with us.
I was super stressed out and worried about how I was going to find someone to re-home her, and love her as much as we did.
Fortunately, we were connected with a great candidate and everything worked out and she is now with in a great home with over an acre of land!
I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is in the same pickle.

Get your pet is a wonderful place to adopt a dog. For one thing it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You also get to meet the dog and their current owner. I recently adopted a dog, then ended up in bed sick. I could not get to the bank to make a deposit. I spoke with Brian at "get your pet" and he was very considerate and patient in waiting for the payment. Get your pet is a wonderful place to adopt any pet.

There are so many good things I have to say about "Get Your Pet!" All the steps were fully explained on the website. Communication with the previous owner using Get Your Pet's web-based messaging system that helped maintain everyone's privacy. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted to, set up a meet & greet with Rocky, and arrange a mutually agreeable time to make the adoption official! Rocky came from a loving home, but his owner became chronically ill and was no longer allowed to have animals in the home. I was searching for a reasonably healthy senior dog, and when I saw that cute terrier face in Rocky's profile, my heart sang!

The $99 dog adoption fee will be quickly recouped from the discounts Get Your Pet has made possible. Rocky and I are getting along beautifully, and we plan to visit his previous owner when we have cooler days again.

I had a wonderful experience and am so happy with my my new pup. It's such a great concept. I inquired about many pets before I found the right match for me. When I found him, I was willing to drive 10 plus hours to get him!!! I feel so lucky! And the owner was so helpful including doing a video chat of my new pup before our meetup so I could see what he was like on a walk seeing other dogs and people. I loved that. His adjustment to his new home has been almost seamless. Highly recommend!

Get Your Pet was an amazing site to find my little dog Rocket a new home! It was easy to use and I received tons of responses from families who wanted to adopt. It’s incredibly hard to have to rehome a loved animal and this site made the process easy and we found a great new loving home for our Rocket. I would highly recommend it.

After having my fur baby, Monster for almost 10 years and my Fawn for about 4 years, I knew I had to re-home them. My infant daughter was stressing them out by grabbing at them and they weren’t able to get as much love and attention as they were used to anymore. It was a heartbreaking decision, and I honestly wondered if I was going to be able to find them a good home. Both dogs are seniors, and I didn’t know if anyone would want to take on a senior dog, let alone two. Even so, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try GetYourPet. I posted ads for the dogs and within a couple of days, I received multiple inquiries. Setting up meet ups was really easy. I had one meetup that wasn’t a match, but the second meetup was the absolute perfect match for my babies. I am in touch with their new mom and she is thrilled to have them, and I am thrilled that they are so happy and living their best lives right now. I definitely went through a grieving process, but it takes the sting away to know that they are in the best of hands and being loved and cared for. I could never have taken them to a shelter and wondered what happened to them, and I would have been really nervous about giving them to someone random off a site like Craigslist. I feel like using GetYourPet ensures that the people looking for a pet are actually serious about the process and not just looking for a free or cheap dog to love for a little bit and then abandon. I’m honestly so grateful I happened upon this site and gave it a try. If you have to rehome a beloved pet, this is the way to do it. And if you’re looking to get a pet, please consider using this site because it offers such peace of mind to people who want their babies to go to a good home and not to a shelter.

I was having a hard time adopting a pet during the pandemic. Shelter visits were limited and appointments were backed up for weeks. We filled out several applications for rescue dogs but were too late because they went to other homes. I searched online and found Get Your Pet. I’m am so grateful that this site exist. It was an easy process and I was able to meet with two fur babies. We decided to go with Gracie and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend them to others looking for their furever pet.

I adopted my dog, Jo through get your pet in July 2018.
Seriously can't believe it has been less than 2 years! It feels like we have had her forever.
When we started looking for a dog, it was real stressful. I didn't want a puppy but I worried about finding a dog who would be ok with our cats and chickens. Being able to communicate with the current owner was so helpful. Everything went so smoothly- from the initial inquiry to the meetup to the paperwork and free vet check.
It was such a great way to add to our family.
I love that Jo was kept out of the shelter and some of my adoption fee goes to the shelter.
