Bought a beautiful little car, great service from the staff helped me through every step

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! viewing and purchasing the car was all good, however after paying £2000 for a car 3 weeks later the car needed a new gearbox!! if I’d of carried on driving it the car would of blown up.. death trap!! the warranty is useless cost over £800 to get this repaired the warranty only agreed to pay half.. after paying £2000 I didn’t expect to have to pay another £400 three weeks later, tried complaining to ghost motors about the gearbox and how I was out of pocket.. zero replies ignorant!! all they care about it taking money from you.. I had to keep going down to ask they lie and tell you all different things and it’s some how my fault because I took it to the nearest garage to get fixed as I was without a car and the hourly labour price was £90 ghost motors argument was I should of took it somewhere cheaper!!! If they hadn’t of sold me a car what needed a new gearbox I wouldn’t have had to take it to any garage I don’t expect a brand new car with no issues when buying a used car but it was literally a death trap!! All they did was blame the warranty company.. after texting for over 2 months and going down multiple times all I got back was £120 which I had to practically beg for.. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!! they don’t reply to you and not bothered unless they are getting money from you!! AND TO TOP IT OFF THE WATERPUMP NEEDS REPLACING COSTING EVEN MORE MONEY!

Bought a Fiat 500 from Ghost motors in 2022. Before I even got it back to my house 50 miles away from the showroom the engine blew a gasket and I was left at the side of the road. I had the AA out and they told me the engine would need a full rebuild. Tried to ring the garage and no answer so I was there on the doorstep first thing the following morning, they agreed to collect the vehicle from my address the following day which did happen. Getting the refund was a bit harder. I think the fact that I was relentless in my phone calls to them and that I was becoming a pain to them I got my refund within a week.
If you get a car from here you need someone to check it first who has experience in cars as these vehicles seem to be bought straight from auction with very little checks and the MOT’s are questionable.

Bought a 2010 Golf GT TDI 2L from here and despite having to chase them up for the viewing and waiting for them to collect the car was overall a good experience, got to test drive the car before I bought and was super patient while I inspected it.

It did have a known fault that wasn't listed in the description but was easily able to point it out due to knowledge of car repairs and even lowered the price for me due to the issue.

Payment process was super fast and easy to do and drove it away same day! If you plan on buying a car from here take someone who knows about cars otherwise you'll be another bad review from someone who expected it to be perfect but overall great people and great company with reasonable prices.

They seemed good at first but then the service quickly went down hill.
I called when I saw the car online, he answered quickly and was keen to answer questions. I sent the deposit via bank transfer, at this point he was still responding to queries via text.
I had to call to confirm car delivery, which isn't great. When the car was delivered, I felt the attitude change. The car salesman did not come to the delivery, it was just the driver who had a poor level of English. So I had to call him to ask about the car, but he was no longer polite and even hung up the phone on me. And to add the car was dirty.
The following day I called to ask about the VC5 form, I had the green slip but I wanted to know if he changed the keepers log book already. I have called multiple times since then as well as texted. No answer, no responses, no replies. This doesn't give me confidence with the 6 months warranty on the car.
Customer service does not end once you get the customer's money. This has left a bad taste in my month. If 'hit it and quit it' was a transaction, this is how it feels. Poor service.
I have had to call DVLA to receive the relevant info and register the new keeper. They informed me that there has been no change so I will have to do it myself. The car sales man could have replied, it wouldn't have been fatal to rely 'no' or answer the phone. God forbid I should have any issues with the, he won't answer at all.
Positive is, atleast the car was delivered on time. Not the worst, but far from excellent.

Went with our daughter to buy her first car. Loads of choice, all staff really helpful and very friendly. Selected a car the same day - good warranty and breakdown cover
Overall great and would certainly return!

Wow what an amazing showroom. On arrival we were met by Matty! Friendly, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble even got us a coffee always welcome 🤣 Large range of cars for all budgets. After test driving a few we settled on a Citroen DS3. Valeted and Mot done prior to hand over Inc a warranty too. Was such a swift and easy purchase and would not hesitate in recommending this company to all. Thanks guys

NOTHING good to say about these con artists. Lie about the condition of their motors and about the MOT’s. They are quick to grab your money but once they’ve got it they … oh wait , funnily enough they GHOST you. Perfect name for them!

THEY ARE THE WORST PEOPLE I'VE EVER DELT WITH. ONE STAR IS WAY TO GENEROUSE FOR THIS "COMPANY", IF I COULD IT WOULD BE MINUS 50. ABSOLUTE THIEFS. I'VE GIVEN THEM A £200 DEPOSIT ON THE BASIS THEY WILL GET THE ADVISERIES SORTED WHICH THEY HADN'T. THE CAR IS A DEATH TRAP AND HE HAS BARRED MY PHONE AND GHOSTED ME. DIRTY SCUM STAY AWAY. HOW ARE THEY STILL GOING. IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. SCUMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They look good but dig deeper and its a second rate show.

If you do buy a car you will "not" recieve the "service" they promise.

This outfit have there hand in your back pocket with a smile on there faces. Avoid. Sold me a car with a faulty ECU avoid. Avoid.

I’m resorting to writing a review to get a response from Ghost Motors. I bought a Mini Coupe from them a month and a half ago. I asked a lot of questions all in writing. One of the questions was if the car had the advisories from its recent MOT addressed. This included two front tyres apparently close to the legal limit (pffft), leak in exhaust and brake disc. I was told yes all advisories have been taken care of. So I got the car and I noticed straight away that it was pulling me around all over the place. My father in law is a mechanic so he took it in to check everything over for me and do the tracking. I didn’t mention anything about the advisories to him. I got a call from him a few hours later saying I had two very illegal and very dangerous front tyres and that if I had been stopped by police id have lost my license as they were that bad. That car should not have passed its MOT. I’ve barely driven it since I bought it. He also commented that he’d noticed a leak in the exhaust and that they’d put new brake pads on but left corroded discs on which makes no sense. So they lied to me about any of the advisories being taken care of as none of them have. I contacted the garage over a week ago and they won’t reply to me. It’s funny because when I wanted to buy the car they would reply to me each time I emailed within 15 minutes. I had to chase and chase for the warranty which ended up taking weeks to get mainly because the first time they sent the wrong reg to the AA. I’ve since emailed to give them one more week to respond otherwise I’m taking it further. Im going to be putting in a complaint via the AA, contacting my credit card company to hopefully get some money back for the cost of repairs and then contact the ombudsman and take legal action if necessary if they don’t respond to me in the timeframe I’ve asked with a reasonable solution. It’s a shame because everything else about the car is fine (apart from a few scuffs, large scratch and chipped vinyl boot stripes which were never mentioned as I was told it was immaculate) and it was with me very quickly. But they’ve really let themselves down by lying to me. I’ve sent them screenshots to remind them of our conversation as well as photos of the tyres and an invoice so it’s irrefutable. Ghost Motors - please contact me to resolve this.

Update - it appears ghost motors are trying to get my review taken down. Very suspicious as lots of negative reviews seem to have mysteriously disappeared.

I did eventually get some money back from them for the cost of the repairs. However they dragged their heels for over 6 months and the AA had to resort to threatening their AA approved status to get me the money back. Just to add insult to injury, the car has since had to have an engine rebuild when set me back nearly £2000. Do yourself a favour and avoid them.
