Gillies were much cheaper than other leading carpets companies. The fitters arrived at the correct time, were professional and prompt. The carpet looks great!

As always, service was great. From salesman, Tom Boyd, to the delivery men who assembled our new table.

The choice of recliners was good and Brenda the assistant was knowledgeable and very helpful.

We went there looking for a 2-seater sofa and a smaller chair. We haven't bought any furniture like this for over 20 years so we were quite nervous and unsure of many things. We had little idea of what we really wanted other than looking at the website and maybe liking a few things.
On the walk around in the spacious and well set out store - ground floor and upstairs - we stopped and looked at a sofa combination that showed promise and shortly thereafter Ann appeared.
My initial reaction was “oh no a Sales Person trying to hard sell” but I have to admit that was totally wrong and unfair. Instead, Ann was friendly, no hard sell, she provided lots of helpful information not only about the product but the combinations of things and shipping etc. In summary it was like talking with a trusted friend than a Sales Assistant.
We went away to think about things and came back a few days later, found Ann and made a purchase, but not before we also saw a bed and side cabinet that we really liked! Ann introduced us to her colleague Hope Farrall, who was equally friendly and helpful regarding the bed and side cabinet details.
We walked out of the store having purchased a 2-seater sofa, a cuddler, a foot stool, a bed and bedside cabinets and had no buyer’s remorse.
I would recommend this store – who are part of Gilles Home Furnishings - and in particular Ann who was a pleasure to deal with.

My husband and I were looking to buy a new mattress. We had looked online and noted that Gillies Aberdeen stocked a wide range of mattresses including Harrison Spinks.
We visited Gillies Aberdeen in person and would like to note that our shopping experience was made all the easier thanks to Robert Turner, Bedding Sales. His very pleasant manner, the knowledge and in-depth information he provided on various types of mattresses alongside giving us plenty of time to test the mattresses really helped us to make our choice to purchase a mattress.
Shopping in stores can be variable, however, the interaction we had with Robert made our overall shopping experience a very pleasant one, it was completely stress free and we would certainly return to Gillies if we were looking for any other household items.
We look forward to enjoying our new mattress.

The excellent help which we got from Robert Turner in the Aberdeen Gillies store was exceptional. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the ranges on offer, without being in any way a hard sell or pushy. We were able to browse a wide range of furniture, beds and bedding in a quiet and well laid-out store, and given plenty of time to discuss our requirements. Once we had made our choices, delivery times and finance options were discussed and we received our items actually sooner than anticipated. The teams who delivered the furniture were equally impressive. They brought in the furniture, took away all packing materials, made sure we were happy with everything before we left and were generally incredibly careful and helpful with everything they delivered. We are very impressed with all the service from Gillies and will definitely be using them again in the future. Top marks!

Very pleasant and helpful delivery drivers all went very smoothly

We recently bought herringbone flooring from Gillies, Broughty Ferry. The in-store service from Kevin was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely go back to Kevin. The two guys have just left after making a fantastic job of our three rooms. Craig’s craftsmanship was excellent and his apprentice Ollie also went above and beyond to be helpful. If anyone is looking to buy herringbone flooring, visit Gillies - we would highly recommend Craig and Ollie.

Assistant was helpful, choice was good and purchase process was straightforward. Delivery not due yet so I can't comment on that.

An excellent experience with a local company. I saw the kitchen table I wanted, and the shop staff made sure I was completely happy with it and my choice of accompanying chairs (even going to another floor of the shop to fetch chairs to try alongside it).
I opted for delivery, which was worthwhile: everything was delivered, assembled, and left exactly where I asked, and all the packaging was taken away by friendly, helpful folk.

Clark aka superman was very helpful and knowledgeable. Made the process of buying new furniture easy.
