Cannot fault service. Did what they promised within timescale and took me though all controls etc making use in practice easy.

Very smooth process from first contact to delivery of our WAV veichle. Excellent conversion standard of work was superior to our last WAV veichle supplied from allied .Really pleased we choose this company.Very happy campers we be.

The service from GM was immaculate, very empathic and helpful - Highly recommended.
The WAV conversion covers all the requirements and works exactly as required - the ramp is particularly easy to use.
This was an inexpensive and functional choice but the underlying Berlingo I would not recommend to my worst enemy - pay the extra for a Caddy if you possibly can!

I first used GM Coachwork in August of 2017 - and got the service I expected from them. They fitted the hoist in the back of my car in the time they said and did an excellent job. No more than I would expect, given their particular expertise and experience.

Fast forward to March of this year and I had a wee accident with my hoist and scooter during the storms of that month - I'm never going to know exactly what happened, but the hoist slipped from its bracket and dropped my scooter from a height of about 18", and the hoist got a bit twisted. Fortunately not so twisted that I couldn't re-set it and get my scooter in the car.

Two days later I took my car back to GMC and they had a look at the damage as I was concerned that having been slightly warped, the damage was going to get worse if I kept on using it - and they replaced a bent bolt, sorted out a couple of other things and didn't charge me a penny for their work. Absolutely excellent after sales service and as it was likely my fault the hoist was damaged, I fully expected to be charged for the repair.

But wait, it gets better. I didn't use the hoist much for the next 4 weeks or so as I was using my mother's car and hoist whilst visiting her during an extended stay in hospital, so it wasn't until I'd returned home and was starting to get out again that I realised that the lever that locks the hoist in place, which had seemed fine the couple of times I'd used the hoist after the repair had warped and I couldn't get the upright locked properly and despite my efforts with a hammer, I couldn't get the lever straight enough to get it to lock into place.

So, I called GMC again and made arrangements to take my car back to them to get this issue looked at and hopefully resolved. And again, the work was done in a timely manner, with no quibbling and no charge.

I cannot praise this company enough - we've all had experience of companies who can't do enough for a potential customer, only to have that willingness fade once a sale has been made - but a company who will fix an item, not just once, but twice when the damage is probably the customer's lack of attention and not charge anything for an excellent repair job goes well beyond expectations and is the exemplar of excellent after sales service.

Thank you, GMC - I will will more than happy to recommend you to anyone who asks and look forward to seeing you again when the time comes to either move my hoist or install a new one in my next car.
