Paolo helped us plan our trip to the Puglia region of Italy. His expertise is invaluable because the guidebooks do not accurately describe many of the towns, best things to do, and logistics of traveling in the area. He had suggestions that were tailored to our needs and was fun and interesting to talk to. He has a love of the land, culture and history which is clear in his work.

Leonor came prepared for the meeting with an itinerary and resources that matched my criteria perfectly! I so appreciated her candor when I asked for recommendations. She was thoughtful and thorough in her planning. She has saved me countless of hours in research and I plan to have a follow up meeting with her in a few weeks. Highly recommend!!

Paolo helped structure areas of my trip that I was unsure and confused about. He offered local insights and tips that I wouldn't have found on my own. And best of all, he will provide tailored lists of sights, restaurants, wineries, etc. in all of the places I will visit that he thinks will add to what I already planned in my itinerary.

One hour with Paolo was FANTASTIC! He helped to create a charm and a close connection to the Puglia area. We were overwhelmed trying to decide which towns and cities to stay at, but Paolo simplified it for us. He knew exactly which towns to explore and which to avoid! Super hotel and restaurant suggestions along with historic sights and tour suggestions. Paolo also highlighted local specialties as he lives and plays in puglia area! Paolo summarized all suggestions he discussed with us, in a follow up, very succinct document. All links were included which allowed for easy access and viewing! We used these links on our road trip for planning as well as for spontaneous fun dinners! Thank you Paulo for a FANTASTIC hour…. Our one hour with Nicho was well worth the consulting fee, and we plan to use this service again. Nicho had read our questionnaire and remembered the information. He had lived in the areas we want to visit and so had all sorts of specific recommendations that align with our interests and style. We are so excited to spend one week getting to know the Sacred Valley, Machu Pichu, and Cusco and are looking forward to Nicho's email tomorrow with all the specifics. I just talked to Sabastian in Santiago about my upcoming visit to Atacama and Uyuni. So easy to talk to with so much useful information packed in one hour. He knows a lot and gave me all the information and option. He was cautious where caution was called for. No commercial bias.

I am so impressed by the quick response of your staff to a few questions I had about my upcoming to trip to Sicily. A small conversation with a Dania in Sicily helped me think through options. She provided resources and restaurant recommendations only a local would know

When I told my family and friends, I was paying $150 for a one-hour conversation "with a local" they thought that was a little crazy! However, this is the BEST money you can spend! Serena was absolutely exceptional! She lives in a smaller Tuscan village known as Montepulciano and she spent an hour talking with us about her town, where to go and what to do. This town only has about 3,000 residents so many of the wineries and restaurants are not easily found on the internet. You need someone who lives there to say, "Reach out to Alfredo and tell him you know me and would like a reservation at his restaurant." It took 60 minutes of our time but saved us hours and hours of online research! We came away with a full itinerary for a week in Italy and felt like we made a friend in Serena as well. She was so accommodating, and you can book the call when the time is best for you (which was really late at night for her).

This is a must if you are traveling somewhere new... we will be using "Go Ask a Local" again! 100%!!!

I found my local 'guide' very friendly, helpful and most importantly knowledgable.
He was able to answer all the questions I threw at him, providing me with a number of useful contacts in the process.

Our 1 hour video call with Paolo Maragiulo at Go Ask a Local was well worth the investment. We had an idea of what we wanted to see in Puglia but weren't really sure what we could realistically visit each day. Paolo took our input and formulated a plan that helped us solidify our itinerary. He has a wealth of knowledge of the area and was able to recommend off-the-beaten-path restaurants and smaller, less-touristy towns that we likely would have missed without his input. On top of it all, Paolo was fun and interesting to meet.

We had an excellent session with our 'expert' when we were planning our trip to Sicily. Mirco, was not only well prepared, but he had done a lot of research for us based on the information we had provided in the pre-consultation form. He had noted all the details such as what accommodation we were looking for, what we were hoping to do, how we like to spend our time, and so on; we also had some additional queries (like things to do on the drive to our destination) and he added in further research to the package he sent us after our meeting. We now feel really confident in our trip and look forward to working through all Mirco's advice and suggestions - it will take a while!
