I was disappointed to find that after ordering £5k worth of gold, the delivery was left half shoved through the letterbox. I would have expected a recorded and signed for delivery with this purchase. I’ve also got doubts about the weights of the coins themselves, some are quite old looking - are these coinés weighed accurately with some kind of certificate? Not sure id use again

We do pay for a signed-for delivery service, so your parcel should have been handled in accordance with the courier’s delivery requirements. We will raise this with the courier and ask them to investigate why the correct delivery process was not followed.
In relation to the coins, all bullion coins are weighed when they are received by us and again as part of our dispatch processes. The coins supplied are genuine bullion products, and some may show signs of handling or age, particularly where they are established currency coins rather than newly minted collectible pieces.
As these are bullion currency coins, they do not come with individual certificates of authenticity. In particular, Royal Mint CGT-free currency coins are supplied as bullion currency and are not issued with certificates in the way that some collectible or numismatic coins are.
We’re sorry that this experience has left you uncertain about using us again. We appreciate you raising these points and hope the above provides some reassurance regarding both the delivery and the coins themselves.

This company is an absolute disaster. I ordered a coin and for some reason they did not put my address on the parcel and the courier returned the parcel to the sender.
A couple of weeks later I ordered another coin and for some reason they did not put my correct address again. The coin was returned to the sender.
This company is a nightmare!

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience, particularly as this happened with two separate orders. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to have your purchases returned to us on both occasions.
Our shipping labels are automatically generated using the address details provided on the order, which are taken directly from the customer profile. It is not possible for us to dispatch a parcel without an address being included on the shipping label. If a parcel arrives with no identifiable address, it is therefore more likely that there was an issue with the address information during transit which meant the courier was unable to identify or deliver the parcel and subsequently returned it to us.
As this has happened more than once, we would recommend checking the address saved within your Gold.co.uk profile to ensure all of the details have been entered correctly and are up to date. This may help prevent the same issue from occurring with any future orders.
We’re sorry again for the inconvenience caused and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
