BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE! Or better yet, buyer find another vendor and do not conduct business with Green Mountain Tableworx. After 22 months, two tables, over 100 texts and phone calls, I still have a cracked and splitting dining table. Attached pictures tell the story, but here’s a quick recap (first 5 pics original table, last three pics replacement table).
September 2021 I contacted owner Jamie Holcomb whose workshop is in Smithfield Rhode Island. By October 29, 2021 we chose rock maple wood for a custom, live edge dining table and made a deposit of $1500. On November 1st, 2021 I paid the remaining balance of $2449. per Jamie and he would begin the job. Paid in full. The table was delivered on December 22, 2021. On April 30th, 2022 I contacted Jamie with pictures of a long crack splitting the edge of the table. I was devastated and shocked considering the table was brand new and hardly been used. Jamie said this sometimes happens with natural wood and he would take care of it.
Texted and called Jamie in May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December 2022 asking for a rebuilt table. Over the months Jamie explained the delays in moving forward because of vacations (his/employees), illnesses (his/employees), unfortunate deaths, broken down equipment, injuries, power outages, etc. Jamie put me in touch with Nikki in the New Hampshire showroom who was unable to help me in anyway. I had options of choosing a floor model river table which I did not want as I don’t care for the river table look. Wanting this nightmare to end and realizing Jamie was never going to build me a replacement table, I agreed to a floor model from the workshop in a different type of wood and different size than I originally ordered and paid for. Again, I needed this nightmare to end and I needed a table. January, February, March 2023. Table was delivered March 22, 2023 with a crack.
Unfortunately I have to escalate the matter to resolve it. To date, I have enlisted the help of the Better Business Bureau and am still waiting for a second response from Mr.
Holcomb. Trust Pilot where is the zero star option?
