When I upload a video to Gumlet, it automatically renders multiple versions (according to my presets) of the video, so it can be serverd in different resolutions. It then hosts and serves the video through a CDN, meaning each user gets the video from a server as close as possible to the users location. This gives the user a faster load time.
On top of this they offer an API. I am yet to explore the API and set up an automation, integrating Gumlet with my own application. I hope the API will be as useful and easy to work with as the rest of the platform.
