Well what can I say…..we’ve recently returned home after a wonderfully adventurous week exploring some of the Scottish Highlands in Ben. I arranged the surprise trip for my husband’s 40th birthday (me, husband, two children,5 and 2, and our retriever Rosie) and the customer service and advice Ross gave was exceptional. From the outset communication was excellent…Ross is so friendly and welcoming and having never been higher than Edinburgh before, or in a campervan, he was so helpful and knowledgeable when I was trying to plan all the stops and journey for our trip. We picked up Ben and then travelled straight for an overnight stop at Glencoe. The following day we went up to Fort Augustus and then travelled across to the Isle of Skye for two days. We came back via the ferry (which the children loved) and then stayed in Fort William for the night before heading down to Loch Lomond to finish our trip. Ross was amazing helping me find the best campsites for our stays and was able to give loads of wonderful recommendations along the way. Ben is really well equipped and comfortable, he also allows you to live completely off-grid which was great when we planned an impromptu overnight stop at Glenbrittle. It was great being able to add on additional elements upon arrival rather than having to bring these things with us….we opted for the bedding pack and the paddle boards. We have seen some truly breathtaking views and scenery on our adventure and cannot wait to plan another visit as we feel as though we’ve only touched the surface. Thank you Ross for all your help and guidance, we can’t wait to plan another visit.

Great experience hiring a camper for the week with Highland Roamers. We wanted to use a local small company and had a great handover on pickup. The camper has everything you could really need. Only things that could be added to make it more comfortable would be a small inside fan (would have been great for the hot summer nights we had). The pop up isn't completely blackout in summer nights, so if you are a light sleeper, maybe a good idea to bring an eyemask.

Such a lovely guy, explained everything in detail. Nothing by was too much trouble…even happy to extend the time for the return with no issues. Van was perfect…did have an issue with the bed but didn’t detract from the whole experience.
All in all, if your thinking about hiring a van and exploring, this is the company to do it with

A fantastic 10 days in Glen Roamer exploring Scotland. We went to Aviemore first then the Fife coast. A very well equipped and beautiful van which is lovely to drive and easy to set up the beds for day and night. Lots of little storage spaces and cubby holes. The online booking process was simple and easy. Ross is fantastic and delivered excellent customer service, answering queries quickly, helping us add on extras after we’d booked like a paddle board and wetsuits. He’s really thought of everything and the van was very well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire from him again.

We had an amazing two-day trip through the Scottish Highlands + Edinburgh with Highland Roamers and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Ross was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the very beginning. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, even via Instagram, which made everything very easy and stress-free.
The van itself (we hired Glen) was fantastic and had everything we needed for our adventure. We loved that there were different add-on packages available, allowing us to customize the experience exactly the way we wanted. The van was comfortable, reliable, and perfectly equipped for exploring the Highlands.
One of the things we appreciated most was the freedom the van gave us. The off-grid setup allowed us to experience Scotland in a truly special way, staying in beautiful remote locations and waking up surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery we’ve ever seen.
This trip completely changed the way we want to travel. We fell in love with exploring Scotland by campervan and are already planning to return next year for a much longer trip.
We will definitely be booking with Highland Roamers again. For us, there is simply no better way to discover Scotland, and no other rental company we would rather use!!!

Ross was very helpful with any queires we had prior to our trip. We were also given an in-depth run through of the in's and out's of the camper on arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely rent from Highland Roamers again.

My friend and I had an amazing three day/ two night trip away in the Glen camper recently. Everything we could possibly need was thought of and available to us, and we were shown around the camper and how to use everything by Ross before we set off so felt a lot more confident. We travelled Glen Coe to Oban and then Arrochar and had such a fun yet relaxing time. I’d definitely recommend Highland Roamers to my friends and family and although only 2 of us went, it was really spacious inside and had the room to fit 2 more people very comfortably. Both my friend and I drive small city cars but found the camper so easy and smooth to drive- they’ve also got carplay and bluetooth which was perfect for our time on the road. Ross was also available for any questions we had throughout the entire trip and made the booking process and setting up so easy and comfortable, would definitely use Highland Roamers again 🧡🍓⭐️

We had such an amazing couple of nights in the Glen campervan and would 100% recommend it. The host was helpful from the start and gave us a really clear demonstration before we headed off, which made everything feel easy and stress free.

The van itself felt like a little luxury escape and outdid our expectations! It had absolutely everything we needed and loads of thoughtful little extras that made the trip feel really comfortable and five star. The heating kept us warm even in the Highlands, the cooking setup really impressed us (everything and more we needed) and the blankets/tentbox were so cosy and spacious at night.

It was also surprisingly cheap on diesel, which was a nice bonus. One of the best parts was being able to easily find beautiful places to park up and wake up to Highland views each morning. Such a special experience and accommodated us well in creating lifelong memories visiting different areas around Scotland.

I would highly recommend this experience/van, and the only downside was having to give it back. We loved it so much.

Had an absolutely amazing time on the NC500 with my husband and son in the Easter holidays. We hired Ben, and Highland Roamers were helpful, friendly and easy to deal with at every step. Ross gave us a thorough tour of the van with lots of great hints and tips, he checked in with us while we were away and was available for any questions we had. He made everything straightforward and was genuinely interested to hear about our trip when we returned. The van was wonderful with everything we needed. We won’t hesitate to book again - thank you Highland Roamers for making our trip truly special. 😊

When we decided on a last minute night away to mark my wife's birthday and something special for the end of the school holidays...we turned to Highland Roamers.
As soon as we made our initial inquiry we knew we were in safe hands and Ross provided us with all we needed to know.
When we arrived to collect "Glen" we were fully briefed on every detail and straight away it was apparent that Glen had everything we would need and more for our night away.
We headed to Aviemore and had an incredible stay in the Glenmore campsite at Loch Morlich. Our girls are still talking about our adventures and have made some memories that will stay with them for a lifetime all thanks to Highland Roamers and our trusty home for the night "Glen".
Our only wish was that we were more organised and booked for longer, we can't recommend Highland Roamers enough and can safely say booking with them is your ticket to whole world of possibilities and adventure!

We had a fantastic experience with Highland Roamers and wouldn't hesitate to rent a campervan from them again!

From start to finish, our communication with Ross was brilliant, and he answered all our questions and provided a thorough demonstration of everything for us. The van had everything we could possibly need; you really just can turn up with your clothes, food, and off you go! From towels, to kitchen-ware, dish-washing cloth and liquid, and first aid kits, the van is so well-equipped! The weather was quite cool but we didn't have to worry about being cold, there are plenty of blankets and the diesel heater was really effective.

The van is also dog-friendly so we were delighted to be able to bring along our four-legged friend for the trip.

We created amazing memories and can't wait to hire again!

Booked 2 nights away in glen roamer. Whole process was easy. Upon arrival of picking the van up Ross was great from start to finish, clearly explaining & demonstrating every single thing on the van. Van was spotless. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short. After messaging Ross nothing was a hassle, made the whole experience enjoyable and an ease. What a great friendly gent Ross is. Will definitely be booking again in the future. 10/10.

I hired the Glen roamer for myself and my two Sons aged 12 and 8 for 1x night to try out a campervan break as a single parent. We didn’t go far & booked in to Comrie Croft. We had an amazing time on the bike trails.
The boys and I loved the van, it had everything we needed, it was cosy and clean and more importantly “looks so cool”. The boys loved sleeping up in the bunk hearing the birds and running stream next to our pitch overlooking the skills trail.
Ross put me at ease with a thorough walk through at collection and reassuring me that he could be contacted at any time (which I didn’t need to do). It has really boosted my confidence to book a longer trip and travel further & I’ll definitely book with highland roamers again. Thank you Ross.

Me and my partner booked for Easter weekend and done part of the nc500! The booking was seamless from start to finish Ross was so helpful and accommodating the whole trip. I couldn’t recommend them enough. The van is spotless and has everything you need for your trip! Will be booking again in the summer!

Me and my partner recently took a trip to the Scottish highlands in the glen roamer as our first big adventure together. We had the most amazing experience (despite the weather) and this was majorly down to highland roamers. The camper van itself was in perfect condition, comfortable and came with everything we needed and more! As for the company and Ross himself, we couldn’t have supported a better business. Ross was so kinda and accomodating and really went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and made the best of our experience.

We hired both vans for a girls’ weekend away in March, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Ross was extremely friendly and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived to collect the vans. He took the time to walk us through everything in detail, so we felt completely confident before setting off.

Both vans were immaculate, well-organised, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the small touches—dishwashing supplies, tea and coffee, and more—which really made a difference. The optional add-ons were a great bonus and made the whole trip feel like a cosy home away from home.

We headed to Arrochar for our adventure, and the vans were fun and easy to drive. Although the weather was typically Scottish—windy and rainy, with only a brief appearance from the sun—we stayed warm, dry, and comfortable throughout.

While we didn’t get the chance to use the fire pit or paddleboards, we were very grateful for the dry robes after an icy dip in Loch Long! Cooking in the van was easy too—we made chilli and rice for dinner, and sausage, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. The fridge had plenty of space for all our food (and wine!).

We had a fantastic weekend and have already booked the vans again for later in the year—next adventure pending! Thank you Highland Roamers!

We rented the Glen Roamer in February, which was perhaps a bit rash. But we had a wonderful time. The van was spotless and Ross explained everything until we were happy we knew what we were doing. Everything was snug and cosy. We found a scenic place to park in Port Appin, just outside the wonderful Pierhouse, and even teased out some sunshine for our walks. Now we've bought our own!!

Lovely vans and super friendly service from Ross at Highland Roamers. Used both vans for a long weekend of astronomy down in Galloway. Weather wasnt what we wished but the vans were great! Throughout the whole process, Highland Roamers were fantastic, always helpful, always had the right info. Would recommend
