Homeagain refused to update my dogs contact info after I adopted my dog from a rescue. That’s unethical and from the reviews I hope this company goes out of business asap.

Do Not Use-utterly incompetent
This is the second time I've ordered ID tags for both of my pets. They have never arrived despite ongoing promises. Also I was charged for an extra tag which I never ordered and which required my calling to notify them of this in order to get a refund.
I'll never use again.
Slimy expereince
Slimy expereince. Just registering a pet/chip all other options declined. I'm being prompted to pay $19.95 for a premium membership even though I declined.
I found the format easy to use
I found the format easy to use. The vet clinic had partially registered my dog after inserting the microchip and all that was necessary was to create a log in then add a few details. The kit that came with this service is nice, with a plastic card and extra number decals that come with the collar tag. I do wish the option was available for two photos of each pet so I can provide her face as well as her body or legs.

Customer service is useless
I registered and paid for my new rescue to be added to this site incase she ever got lost. I accidently put the last number of her microchip in wrong. Instead of a 9 I put an 8. There was no where to edit this. I emailed customer service about this. They told me to go to the nearest vet and get her scanned and then send proof of her number. I told them we just flew here from the country we rescued her from and that I have a text message from the vet themselves confirming her Microchip number. I sent them a screen shot of the message from the vet with her microchip number. They still told me to go to a vet and have her scanned and upload proof. I said I was not spending a vet visit or taking a day off from work to do this. I sent them proof and they wont change one number for me? And why is there no place for me to edit it? People make mistakes. I won't be using them in the future. Unfortunately I lost my $20 for the year for registering her but its useless because they won't correct the last number of her chip for me. Thanks for the help Home again!
Update, they changed my dogs microchip number. I’m not sure if it’s because of my review or because someone decided to be nice, but they did change it for me.

HomeAgain sold my email address to a zillion places. Exactly when I signed up, my perfectly clean email address with no spam started getting pet spam. And of course, I provided an email address that is on my phone for just in case...I would want immediate communications.

Shouldn't be this hard to cancel premium.
You can't complete your animal's enrollment without signing up for their premium subscription service and entering your credit card number. Once signed up for premium, you can't cancel it directly from the website, you have to reach out to customer service. I just sent them an email, I'll update this if/when I hear back, maybe an extra star if I'm able to cancel relatively painlessly after reaching out to customer service, but right now I don't like that it's totally in their hands whether I'm paying this annual fee or not.
From their website, supposedly the microchip works perfectly normally without premium, premium is just some extra bells and whistles like they'll post missing animal posters on your behalf if your animal goes missing, stuff like that.
Extra star given because I'm sure the microchip itself works fine.

There has to be something better
I adopted a cat that was microchipped from the local pet rescue. When I went to Home Agains website to register my info, they created a different (2nd) rescue id. I have no idea which is the proper chip id for my cat, now and have every reason to believe that my cat won’t be connected to me should he ever get lost. The whole registration process is frustratingly confusing and nothing more than a lot of high pressure up-sale attempts. There has to be a better program out there that isn’t about greed and profit.

user friendly but glitches often
While the website is rather user friendly, it is also terribly glitchy. every time I enter a new pet, the website tells me I have completed enrollment, but that's not actually true because the pet will then show up on my dashboard with the option to "complete enrollment" which I have to call customer service to do. It's time consuming and completely unnecessary. I have mentioned this to several customer service reps and none of them seem to have a resolution. Other than that issue, the service is acceptable.

More photos should be allowed on website
Please, Home Again, allow for more than one photo of pets on the website! Especially important for animals of multiple colors! My dogs have darker ears, for example, and just one face or body photo doesn't fully show what they really look like. Even allowing TWO photos of each pet would be better than the one photo allowed. Thank you.

We had lost our pet dog on the New Year…
We had lost our pet dog on the New Year night , while we were travelling for a family vacation, and he ran away from our pet sitter's hands when he/she was was walking him. So we immediately reported our pet as 'Lost' on HomeAgain website by calling their 24/7 customer service line and they registered him across their nation-wide network base of animal care and control! And the next day I received a call from a local Vet hospital that our pet was found!😍🐕 We felt so happy and grateful to find him back just in 1 day, on the New Year, with help of Home Agin microchip and our wonderful community people 🫶🙏🏻💕🤗

Not for traveling pets
Small minded company, number to call on tag is an 888 number and is impossible to dial from another country. Even filling out the pet info and asking for phone numbers, it does not allow for country codes etc. is it that this company really thinks pets going abroad is not a thing?!
Reply below from vendor is asinine and deflects the need instead of listening and learning from multiple comments on this subject. I am not moving to another country, my pet travels with me to other countries. No one in those countries can call and report the dog being found because you insist on using a us only number. Evolve and join the new world, and stop pushing back on this feedback which I have read on here from other users. And for that reply I will take off another star.

You can’t get through to the medical hotline. I called the correct number and followed the prompts SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF HOURS. Please don’t put your trust in this service and your pet’s life in danger.

Home Again is not responding to customers
Home Again is not responding to multiple customer support inquiries. I paid my annual membership for 2 cats this month and I have yet to receive a receipt.

Collar tags are inferior quality.
I ordered the Medium Blue pet tag in August of 2024. The tag has Home Again and their 800 number on one side and the pets microchip number and pets name on the reverse side. Within a year the microchip number and pets name have completely worn off and is unreadable. Upon calling Home Again customer service offers to sell you a new one. When asked to speak to someone to report a quality issue you are put on a perpetual loop and never talk to anyone further. The collar tag is a scam.

Charged me and is refusing to refund
Charged me and is refusing to refund. They charged my card on 11/13 for an annual membership, even though I had cancelled all auto-renews more than a month prior. I still have not received a refund to date and cannot get ahold of anyone when I call. I guess I will be disputing the charge with my bank tonight. Extremely poor and fraudulent customer service.
Edit as of 12/22 - still waiting for a refund. They tried to gaslight me into thinking I had been refunded by sending me "proof" that had the completely wrong year on the refund. They also keep saying they cannot refund me because my card is not on my account. I have not removed my card from my account once, so the fact that it keeps "getting removed" right when they say they are trying to refund me is extremely suspicious to me. This company is a total joke.
