Decently satisfied. Price didn't quite match expecations
Ordered 2 pieces: White flower and black rain. The set took a few weeks to complete before shipping. Hue's checked in a few times to keep me posted, which was great. Below are the reasons for a few stars dropping off:
1. Wasn't aware these would be shipped from Hong Kong. I tend to gravitate towards US artists and was fully expecting a national transaction. Didn't find this out until I received my first shipping confirmation. $20+ in duties later, I realized their "free shiping" isn't quite true.
2. The "raised texture" prints were tightly packed together (facing each other), with no protection in between. There was minor damage incurred as the textured points of each were color-printed onto the other, or poked into the other canvas. Minor, but noticable.
3. The black rain piece looks pretty amazing online. Not only the detail, but specifically the shading. You can see moon glare in the waves below, as well as the black sky. Looks like a few different shades of black/gray to capture the moment perfectly. Also, the deliberate streams of isolated rain in the original look quite natural, with plenty of open sky. My piece didn't capture the artistry quite as well, or the sharpness of the elements. It's just an entire canvas full of light/heavy rain, so there is little open sky anywhere. It's also completely black. No color variation like the original- except for the darker rain (heavier texture). Looks nice, but left me wanting more.
