Horrible experience!!!
Joined Interval International a year before the pandemic began. Made my first reservation for Cancun. Even purchased the travel insurance. Paid the reservation fee. Unfortunately, the pandemic began and we could not travel. However, when I tried to get my money back. Interval International and their insurance company would not reimburse me. I guess a worldwide pandemic was not a good enough excuse to get your funds back. I would discourage any potential members for joining.
I'm happy
I have been using intervalworld.com for the last 16 years. All my requests with sufficient time were fulfilled.
It doesn't matter when you put in a request, it will not be fulfilled
I put in a request January 2022 to stay at the one resort near our home from mid May to mid June. I was hoping to get my family together but it looks like it's a no go.
I put in a request for a dozen resorts in Daytona for July hoping to get something, but there again a no go.
I will cancel this worthless program.
We used our Vistana points to stay at…
We used our Vistana points to stay at the Sheraton Desert Oasis for a week and decided to purchase a Getaway week through II to extend our vacation to 2 weeks. We purchsed a 1 bedroom unit with a full kitchen and king bed. 3 days prior to check-in I received a phone message from an Interval Representative saying there was a computer error on their end and we were instead getting a small 1 bedroom unit with a partial kitchen. This meant we would have to move units although we paid for the larger unit. But what's more egregious is the message we received which was cavalier and unapologetic. Nothing referencing the inconvenience they created by having us move condos in the middle of our vacation or compensation whether in a monetary form or a free bonus week. I am appalled at the lack of customer service on an issue that is solely Interval Internationals problem, not ours yet you wouldn't know it based on the unprofessional way in how they've handled their mistake.
Stonewalled! Left without accommodation in Mexico.
Stonewalled! Interval International customer care is just awful with this company
My wife and I recently visited Puerto Vallarta in Mexico with 2 friends and stayed in the Lindo Mar resort using an exchange voucher (a gold holiday week with Marriott Vacation Club Marbella) with Interval International,
On the second night our bed was surrounded by cockroaches, a very distressing situation. The hotel moved us and on opening the wardrobe of the new apartment there was another cockroach right there on the wall causing my wife to have a meltdown just wanting to leave the premises immediately.
We called I.I asking to be transferred somewhere else in Puerto Vallarta pointing out the rooms were unfit for human habitation. They have many properties in the area and though we pointed out another resort on their books, the Costa Sur, had availability they were unwilling to offer us anything at all except a refund of our booking fee and another resort certificate with a 12 month expiry date.
The hotel were sympathetic but were unable to refund us as we booked through a third party, In short, we were left on the roadside with no accommodation eventually booking into the Costa Sur.
I have written twice to Simona in the customer relations team replying to her facetious email asking if we found alternative accommodation OK and received no reply but it seems stonewalling is the way this company deals with reasonable complaints.
It is so infuriating to see the words ‘customer relations associate’ in regards to this company, perhaps ‘can we nickel and dime you for a few more dollars associate’ would be more apt.
It’s such a shame we have to deal with this company as Marriott owners, run a mile if you have a choice.
A complete scam
A complete scam! Cancel before your three days are up. This is a terrible purchase and I feel like an idiot for wasting so much money on it. You only have three days to cancel after purchase, look into what you bought. Things are not what they tell you. I feel terrible for throwing away my hard-earned savings on this.
COVID and timeshare usage
I was unable to use my Marriott timeshare in Aruba due to covid in 2020. It was deposited into interval and I have until the end of this year to use it. I must book within 4 months (no availability), and even if there was, I cannot split my units as I have always done. These restrictions are unfair to the consumer.
Not even worth one star
Not even worth one star. The whole company is a joke!!! Im not wasting any more of my time to write a review to say how crap this s#### is !!

Have been waiting on the phone for 91 minutes so far!!! Disgusting - we are paying for a service- what service???? How are this company still going? That’s without the awful service we’ve received to date. This company just wants your money and doesn’t give a fig for their customers

Absolutely fantastic
Absolutely fantastic, can't fault it a bit, been booking on the website using the cash getaways and getting some fantastic deals on accommodation in various locations. Easy to use and great choice of hotels.
We're booking 2-3 holidays per year and find it to be great value for money.
SCAM!!! CRAP!!!!
SCAM!!!! I’ll never enter myself to win a new car in the mall ever again. My husband and I went in like fools, I didnt know what to expect, I thought I was going to be in a raffle like the guy on the phone told me but NO. I was scammed into listening to some deep discount vacation crap. The general manager or so he said he was was so friendly and nice and that he only gives professional and friendly customer service. As soon as we said no to paying $7500 with 16.9% interest on monthly payments of 125(no credit check) + $304 for yearly taxes+ 169 for the App.If you don’t get the app, you don’t get the deals. As soon as we said no the manager started getting short and rude. They tried to give a presentation about all the luxurious places to stay for a deep discount and that you can’t get this anywhere else LIESSSSS!!!!! I looked up a weeks stay that they were talking about and got a cheaper rate then what they were selling. My husband and I are first time home buyers and didn’t want to spend our money on this while we are in escrow but the “manager” began to get upset and short with us. He said he wanted us to leave happy but I left uncomfortable because of the man’s attitude and my husband didn’t give a care. They gave us some cheap “free” stuff but of course there were hidden fees so nothing was FREE. (In Shreks voice) WHAT A LOAD OF S***!
Interval International is a joke
Interval International is a joke. I deposited two weeks from my timeshare in Cabo San Lucas with them in May 2021 in exchange for two weeks in Jamaica in January 2022 -- in other words seven months in advance. I also paid $209 for each week to be on a "waiting list," supposedly a better way to get into the property desired. II never was able to satisfy my exchange request and never notified us. I found out when I saw a $209 refund for one week in my credit card account. II did not refund the second $209 so I had to open a charge dispute with Citibank in order to get back my money.
Since my two weeks remained deposited with II, I called in January 2021 asking them to find me two weeks in March 2021 at any one of a dozen properties in southeastern Florida. They had no open inventory for any property at that time.
I don't use RCI so don't know if they are any better, but Interval International is a joke.

I would give them a zero if I could
I would give them a zero if I could. They don't listen to what you ask for, call repeatedly to ask you to accept something else, charge you for multiple memberships and upgrades. I so wish I hadn't renewed my membership. Good news, it is the last time I ever will.
Bad start-good customer service
Never Again.....We have a timeshare in Maui and tried to do an exchange twice through interval. Last year it was a Pandemic reason. We would rather just lose it then give our business to this company. We exchanged a 2 bedroom very large beachfront Maui property for a 5-night ocean view studio Marriott in Ft Lauderdale. We got a studio. they told us to call as the minute something better because available they would upgrade us based on status. No one did anything. When we arrived we were told they had 1 bedroom rooms, then we would call Interval and the story was always "we have nothing available" The hold times are long, the aggravation is far from worth it and they have now done this twice. We reached out and the customer service was great. They fixed the issue ---bad start-good outcome.
RUN!!!
I cannot get out of this timeshare! Online sales are for $1. Others just want to get out of this. Agree that 0 stars is appropriate. I have flagship resorts as well. Maintenance fees are astronomical. When I try to make reservations, nothing is available. I cannot understand how they have a better business bureau high ranking!! I have been told that I have a non-desirable week and I should pay more money to upgrade. Are you kidding? They did not fulfill as promised even remotely. Why throw good money after bad?
Hate to give even 1 star. Wish there was a zero-star option
First of all, there is never any availability. Our timeshare is a 2 BR yet their exchange options hardly ever have accommodations for 6 (this is how many are in my family). Why would I exchange my 2BR in Cabo for a studio in podunk America? And then have to actually pay Interval to make the trade?!?! Laughable.
Also, the way they handled Covid trip cancellations was abysmal. I’ve paid to transfer and extend weeks now twice and have YET to travel anywhere.
And their customer service…I can only assume these people hate working for and are embarrassed to work for such a shady company because they were less than helpful and friendly.
Let’s discuss their website…there are no amenity search functionality, you press the back button and it takes you back to old dates you had searched. The site is setup like something from 1996. And they also designate which locations require all-inclusive but don’t list all-inclusive price so you have to call. On every single resort. On every possible week to get a quote. And the one quote I received was higher than if I just went to the resort’s website. So all-inclusive resorts are not even an option since it’s nearly impossible to “shop” those resorts on their website.
God I despise everything about this company so much.
This is the biggest scam ever
This is the biggest scam ever! The FREE trip we were promised if we attended an hour session turned out to be three hours of crap for a $700 trip. Obviously, after spending a day drinking on the beach anything sounds like an amazing idea. Fast forward to today. I should have walked out the second the sales rep began his pitch of a membership. This is entirely my fault. I should have looked up this garbage online first. He started off by saying Interval International owned companies like The Ritz Carlton and all the properties they had for vacation stays were 4 and 5 stars. RED FLAG: The office sits in a 3-star property. Duh! If I had done my research, Marriot International acquired Interval International in 2018. I tried to be polite and respectful after he kept feeding lies and numbers. Honestly, I am proud that I sat as long through it as I did. When someone promises a free trip and you’re stupid enough to check it out, you would be stupid enough to wait and see what the terms are. I repeatedly asked for the brands that they offered and all we were shown were pictures of hotels with no brand name in sight. The one 5-star property they have on their huge display out front was the Disneyland Paris property. Well, duh! It’s a Disney hotel. I could go on, but for what. WORD TO THE WISE: DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY. It is nothing more than a timeshare scam where you pay $20,000 for a membership before paying $449 a week on top of an annual fee of $295 and $98 a day for some tacky ass bracelet.
RUN!
We have been a member with interval…
We have been a member with interval international for 20 years and to this day we have not got any availability for the destinations we want to go to including anywhere in England or Scotland for January and February next year our 4 weeks from Marriott over the last two years had to be given to interval as we could not use them due to COVID, guess who owns interval international MARRIOTT they should be ashamed of themselves avoid both by all costs
