Jasmine Cottage is a detached, en suite holiday cottage set in it's own grounds above a quiet lane close to Llangollen, North Wales. The self catering accommodation sleeps up to seven guests in three en suite bedrooms and a queen-size sofa bed set up in the upstairs lounge. It is suitable for couples, families and groups of friends looking for a peaceful countryside retreat in the glorious North Wales countryside. Outside, the holiday let features a large parking bay suitable for two large or three smaller cars. A sunbathing terrace at the back of the cottage is great for soaking up the sunshine or having a barbecue (equipment provided). Dogs are not allowed at Jasmine Cottage. Inside, a porch with a washing machine and electric water heater leads into a large well equipped kitchen and dining area. A doorway leads through to a staircase on the right and an ensuite bedroom straight ahead. The downstairs bedroom has a zip and link bed which can be set up as a superking double or separate twin beds. The bedroom has it's own ensuite with a bath and a large shower cubicle. Upstairs, a large lounge has a balcony and garden views to the rear, and spectacular views towards the Horseshoe Pass to the front. Full fibre superfast broadband, a smart TV and a DVD player provide the entertainment facilities. A master bedroom features a king size double bed and an ensuite bathroom. Completing the upstairs facilities, a small single room has it's own ensuite which can be used either by the guest sleeping there or by guests sleeping on the queen-size sofa bed.

Ian was brilliant kept me informed on what was going on in the area , ie how far the pub was were the farm shop is, also we’re the hard walks we’re and the easy ones. We loved the cottage lovely area spotless inside also every you needed for your stay. There was only one small thing take your own iron just in case you have creased clothes. Recommend the pub on the bridge in Llangollen for lunch . All in all would recommend the cottage and the area we had a great time .

Just perfect
What can I say? This is our 5th visit and Jasmine Cottage feels like our home from home.The cottage is extremely clean and comfortable. Everything that we need and more is provided for a great break away. The cottage is in a great location with stunning views and plenty of walks straight out of the front door. Lovely terrace to sit on and relax watching the many birds visiting the feeders. Ian and Yvonne as always provide lots of useful information via email prior to arrival. Looking forward to staying again soon.

We had a fantastic weekend staying at the. Cottage. Very helpful,friendly and informative owners. It's a lovely location close to Llangollen centre. Had beautifull views. It's our second year there and will definitely be going again next year.

Our second visit to Jasmine Cottage. A great base to explore from. The cottage is clean and well equipped and it's fabulous that each bedroom has its own en suite! It's huge with great living spaces and a big kitchen, where we spent most of our time. Lovely views and local pubs. Great walks. So glad we came back.

Everything we hoped for
The communication with the owners was excellent.
The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds extremely comfortable.
Beautifully placed within the countryside with stunning views. Lovely walks into Llangollen but taxi was only £9 for 5 of us to travel back.
Can highly recommend.

Rude host
Nothing wrong with cottage a little dated would of scored higher but the host was very rude because we arrived early we only wanted to park up to get a complete day I had to walk away in embarrassment the way she was talking to my husband and friend
The couple who came as our guests wanted to stay elsewhere it did spoil the stay as we couldn’t stop bringing up the conversation they had with her the cottage was ready so don’t see what the problem was
I wasn’t going to say anything but kept getting requests to say how our stay was so just saying how it was
Ian the hosts husband was a very nice chap he spoke to us from a distance on our last evening and emailed us the next day to thank us for leaving the cottage immaculate that was so nice to take the time it was appreciated thank you Ian

I was shocked and disappointed to get this review, especially after I spoke to the guests and they seemed to have enjoyed their break. I spoke to my wife about what happened and established the following:
The guests booked the cottage with a 4pm arrival.
The guests arrived at 10.15am, nearly 6 hours early. My wife first became aware of their presence when she spotted a male stranger walking around the back of Jasmine Cottage.
Her first emotion was anxiety, followed by annoyance when she challenged the stranger and found out he was one of the next guests. She admits that she may have come across as rude when she found out who they were.
We do our best to accommodate guests, and understand that guests like an early check-in if possible, especially after a long drive. Ironically, I was going to offer these guests an early check-in, as this booking was just about the only time this Summer when the cottage was prepared early. Unfortunately, they beat me to it!
If anyone arrives early and would like an early check-in, please let us know beforehand to avoid any similar issues. We have a particular responsibility during the pandemic to keep the previous guests, our cleaners and the next guests apart.

Loved our stay here! A absolutely stunning cottage with outstanding views. Lot's to do near by and a good base. Our host's where amazing too. Loved it that much we have booked again for next year ❤️

Weekend break to attend wedding
Excellent 3 night stay to attend local wedding. Great location and the cottage was well appointed with everything that we needed.
Owner Ian, very helpful prior to, during and post visit.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again.

An excellent place to stay
Well maintained & resourced cottage. Superb views & the walking in the area was excellent. Within a reasonable walking distance to Llangollen. I would certainly recommend this cottage.

The cottage was in a great location
The cottage was in a great location, with lovely scenery all around and five minutes drive to local amenities. The cottage was clean and had everything we could expect for a week's stay. The only area for improvement is perhaps the quality of the cutlery and crockery, which seemed to be an assortment of different sets.

We started out with complete sets of high quality cutlery and crockery, but the attrition rate in a holiday cottage is quite high! We try our best to source matching replacements as items are broken or go missing, apologies if the slight mismatches caused an issue for you.

Fabulous house lovely location and ideal for getting out and about . Ian the owner was great and made us feel most welcome , if your looking for peace and quiet but also easy access to everywhere you cant go wrong . Llangollen is just down the road lovely place to visit..Give it a try you wont be disappointed

Lovely cottage
