I love it at jd gym you have so many machines to choose from.The staff are lovely there I have only just started going there this week and loving it already I would highly recommend going there membership is £5 only u couldn’t go wrong

Clean, friendly and free parking
Only joined for a month to do training for Hyrox and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s clean, everything you need to train and you get free parking.

We really love to give our members the best possible workout with the equipment that we have in our gyms. We also know how important the safety of our members is. This is why we have a turnstile type system that is activated via a app that is logged into personally by each member to ensure the best possible security for all our members of Harlow.
Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. The JD Gyms Team 💚

Unfortunately my experience was quite poor and the reason why is the equipment has got no maintenance for ery long period of time. Literally falling apart, screws missing on some of the machines, loose parts. Pretty dangerous. Maybe I'll get back for one more or two sessions just to make my monthly payment worthwhile but definitely not staying there for long time.

Nice gym but would be good if the air conditioning was on during the warm weather and cleaning supply’s were available to wipe down the equipment after use.

So much to say…..
Membership price gone up, quality of facilities gone down.
There are numerous machines broken; and have been for months; inc a rower, the assault bike and cable machines upstairs.
The gym is always a mess, bars left fully loaded, plates , DBs & KBs left all over the place. Mats left laying around in random places. All causing safety hazards.
The rules say that members will be address that don’t tidy away but never heard or seen this
Also have seen multiple people in the gym in crocs, sliders and work boots; again not allowed but not policed!
Lack of cleaning products to assist with keeping the equipment sanitised. The blue roll and spray was there during Covid but removed not longer after.

Equipment maintenance and orgainsation
The equipment requires repair/replacement, the cross trainer footplate surround was broken, resistance kit is rusty where sweat is not cleaned. You have to hunt for weight plates as people don't put them back and there is no staff keeping the areas tidy.
