Awful creepy experience.
I booked an appointment for a wig as I am receiving chemo. On the way to the appointment, I received a call cutting my appointment short as they were 'running late'. When we were finally seen, we were made to feel really uncomfortable, like the assistant really hated her job. There were so many negative attitudes towards the wigs and me. We ended up trying to humour/reassure her. Not what you want. The whole vibe of the place was creepy, like Steptoe's store. We left empty handed. I have now bought a wig via NHS/Macmillan at my local hospital. Lovely service, so caring and upbeat. The price was 1/8 of what it would have been at Joseph's, and the care and service was second to none. If you can get an NHS wig, then go for it! If you're on treatment, you're entitled to a heavily discounted wig every 6 months, along with all the hair products you need.

Fantastic experience buying a wig at Joseph’s wigs. Claire made me feel totally at ease from the moment she answered the door to me. She was very sensitive to my needs and went off to find several wigs for me to try on. There was no pressure to buy. She made me feel empowered and I walked away with a fabulous wig at a fantastic price. Thank you so much.

It’s great my new hairpiece has taken years of me , with me being small in confidence with my crows nest disappearing it was a god send .ive been able to start dating with my new hairpiece, ive changed I have , massive thanks to the rug people.

I am writing this on behalf of my best friend who called Joseph’s wigs to book an appointment for her 84 year old mother who is young at heart.
A male answered the phone and was very dismissive when my friend asked if they had a short blonde choppy wig in stock, like the one advertised on their website. He asked for the size and said we don’t do large ( 22) and we don’t do short wigs. My friend told him that she would like an appointment and he replied “ it’s pointless you coming all this way if we haven’t got what you want in stock”She then asked him if he actually wants to sell his wigs and he replied we haven’t got what you need !
She gave up with him in the end, not a good experience at all !!!!

Le bonnet est trop petit la qualité n'est pas au rendez vous le rendu n'a rien avoir avec la photo (ni la coupe ni la couleur)très déçue pour le prix 500€! Et le retour s'avère impossible

Absolutely brilliant company. I was desperate to find a supplier of my usual wig having suffered from alopecia for many years and Joseph's wigs were just amazing. They were so patient and understanding of my situation. They helped me with the color and the specific cap type that I needed and were so kind to me. I am so delighted with my final choice. Their products were beautifully and discretely packaged and sent by special delivery. I am so glad I found you Josephs! Thank you so much!

Having lost my hair pretty quickly due to chemotherapy, I was a little apprehensive about getting a wig: I need not have worried, as from the start of my appointment, Claire was sensitive and knowledgeable. She made me feel at ease, and ‘normal’, and quickly found several suitable wigs from which to chose (I was very impressed that she seems to hold the details of all the (many) wigs held at Joseph’s). I have a small head, so the choice was limited, but I left happy and with 2 wigs :)

Having been a customer of Josephs Wigs for many years I have always found Claire and Stuart professional and extremely helpful. They always go that little bit further!

I had worn the same style for a long time and fancied a bit of a change, so I visited the store for some advice and to try some different styles. As always Claire was lovely as well as very patient and showed me many fibre and human hair alternatives. Eventually I decided to go for a human hair wig for the first time.

I’m absolutely delighted with my purchase and have received so many lovely compliments. I would recommend Josephs to anyone experiencing hair loss.

What a depressing and drab place to go try wigs on! The lady I saw I feel wasn’t very friendly It feels cold and just a money making business! She wouldn’t tell me names of wigs I’d tried on as she said other companies can get them cheaper. All in all not a nice experience tbh.

I bought a wig from Joseph’s a few months ago and I am so pleased with it. I did phone them to say thank you personally, but I thought it would be nice to fo a Trust Pilot review as well. I ordered 2 wigs from Joseph’s and spoke to a gentleman on the phone who was really helpful. They came beautifully packed and were lovely but unfortunately they did not suit me. Return system was very easy and phoned today to check all ok and was assured a refund was being made today, checked my email and it was there as promised. Great Uk based friendly company who I will definitely use in the future. Highly recommend.

Being a wig wearer due to medical reasons for ten years i have been ordering from Tiara Wigs in Swansea My order is due for this year so phoned Tiara and was surprised as i was speaking to Stuart at Josephs Wigs He told me he had closed Tiara two weeks ago and when i asked him where my perscription was he said he didnt know and to phone my hospital I gave it to Tiara as they needed it to reorder every year Now i know things can change suddenly but surely a phone call to notify customers would have been polite as he is responsible there has been no thought for myself or others in my position who have to find another supplier And to end i would have thought someone selling what he does would have had more thought for his customers after all its due to our Alapecia and Cancer that supports his buisness

I can't fault Joseph's Wigs for the patience and understanding I was shown as I tried various of their wigs which were sent back and forth via Royal Mail. First class service (and good quality wigs!)

I just got my second [and third] wig from Joseph's and I am SO happy! The first wig arrived before they estimated and was as described, right out of the box: a quick shake and on it went. It looked like I expected and was very comfortable. After a couple of telecoms - mainly seeking advice on colours - my next order of two very different wigs arrived on day '1' of their estimated 1-3 day delivery. My order was just over £160 and delivery was included. I did ask for a 'price match' and they immediately complied. When does that ever happen?! They have a loyal and very happy customer. They are a UK company based in Surrey and have been selling ladies wigs for over 50 years - so states their website. Joseph's Wigs staff are helpful and knowledgeable.
