The chessboard is very beautiful, I am very satisfied with my purchase. Special mention for the customer service which is very responsive and pleasant.

i love the chess set i bought from here, but it just needs a bit for work done to it to make it excellent. the chess piece itself had good weight to it the board is done well. my only comment is attention to detail. some of the felt on the bottom of the chess piece are not centred to the chess piece and the folding chess board clips needs to be changed as it feels like it wouldn’t last long. overall a great chess set would recommend!!

I ordered a 15"tournament chess set on the 5th of october and it was delivered as promised on the 12th of october 2021.The packaging was not damaged in any way and was well protected, When I opened the chess set I was a bit unhappy with the quality especially chess pieces as they were poorly finished and some of the wood stain on the board was poorly applied,
This appears to be a good company but their attention to detail needs some work. Shop around and read the reviews before buying.

Ich habe ein Schachbrett bestellt... Das Spiel, welches ich erhalten habe, entsprach nicht den Fotos. Da es als Geschenk gedacht war und es überhaupt nicht meinen Anforderungen dazu entsprach, wollte ich es zurückschicken.
Ich wollte dazu ein Retourenetikett vom Verkäufer bekommen, da ich es nicht eingesehen habe, die Retourenkosten selbst zu tragen.
Auf jegliche Art der Kontaktaufnahme kam aber keine Reaktion. Mehrere Emails und Versuche anzurufen.... Zuletzt habe ich es über Paypal (Käuferschutz) versucht.... auch das hat nicht funktioniert. Die Rückgabefrist ist nun abgelaufen und ich habe Sorge, wenn ich das Spiel nun auf eigene Kosten zurückschicke, dass ich mein Geld gar nicht mehr zurückbekomme.... unglaublich alles!!!
Null Reaktion des Verkäufers. Ich habe noch nie eine Bewertung geschrieben, aber das ist ja so mieser Service.....

Nice chess set, very nicely carved, detailed pieces and lovely inlaid wooden board, my son loves it. Fast delivery too.

I ordered the set in January with a delivery timeline of several weeks, after six weeks I contacted them (nothing from their side) and they told me due to high demand there would be a delay. After another four weeks I rang again - multiple times - but they were no longer picking up the phone. After three months I rang my credit card company to report fraud and they investigated the transaction and refunded the amount. Magically the set arrived five days later but was so poor quality that I had to sell it on gumtree: I got £5 - it cost £70.

The set I bought is no longer listed but the point remains valid: don’t get caught out by these charlatans - buy from a proper, reputable outfit and save yourself the money, time and hassle.

I paid over £300.00 for a luxury chess set. The quality and the pieces are very disapointing. It has a scratch on the board. The board doesn't open well and the chess pieces are either cut, missing wood etc. I feel screwed.

Meine Figuren wurden beschädigt geliefert. Auf Emails an den deutschen Support erhielt ich keine Antwort.
Nach schreiben einer negativen Bewertung hier wurde ich vom britischen Support kontaktiert und erhielt im Nachhinein eine Kompensierung in Form einer teilweisen Rückerstattung des Ursprungsbetrags.

I purchased an Ambassador chess set which was of good quality. A small problem with a damaged queen was quickly dealt with by Kaoori.

Absolutely shocking service. Paid for on the 16/8 still not delivered 24/8. Can’t comment on quality as not seen.

Bought this for a gift and the recipient loves it. Unfortunately it is absolutely tiny without much mention on the website for it being travel sized for the price. Still great product

I ordered the 14 inch chess set London, for which I paid around £70.

I was impressed by the speed of delivery, I think it came within 4 or 5 days of placing the order, and also by this company's customer service.

Schachbrett war beschädigt, Ersatzbrett wurde zugesagt aber dann nie geliefert. Auf Nachfragen gibt es keine Antworten mehr. Finger weg, bei Problemen bleibt man darauf sitzen. Nie wieder.

I ordered a chess set on January 19th. On February 23 the company apologised for the delay in delivering it and gave me a discount of 10%. Later they offered me two more expensive sets as alternative - without further charge. I preferred to wait for the set I ordered. Today it arrived and I am very happy. It appears the UK branch has now closed as the UK website now returns their German website and an email I sent their customer support today to thank them was undeliverable. This is, or was, a decent, honest company that I assume has been struggling with the consequences of Brexit and has decided to give up. It appears to me to be doing its very best to satisfy its customers. All credit to them.

Ordered in mid Jan, finally got the chess set today (mid May). I had to speak to the customer services teams about three times to find out what was going on, and in the end they changed my order to a different board that was in stock when I threatened to cancel the order altogether.

My problem with this company is that they don’t keep you up to date, you have to chase them. Their customer services team were always polite and helpful, but if I’d just been kept up to date that the order was delayed by Brexit etc then I wouldn’t be leaving a 2 star review.

Product arrived in fine quality, just a bit underwhelming after a 4 month wait when the original order said 4 weeks
