The Worst Dining Experience at KFC La Rambla, Barcelona

Today, I had the single worst purchasing experience I have ever encountered at Kentucky Fried Chicken, located at La Rambla, 114, 08002 Barcelona, Spain. I feel compelled to bring this to your direct attention.

We are a family that travels extensively across the globe, and never—anywhere—have we experienced such an appalling level of service in any dining establishment.

We entered the restaurant around 17:00 today and placed our order through the mandatory self-service kiosk. After completing the order and payment, I realized I had forgotten to add coleslaw. At the time, the restaurant’s electronic screens were clearly advertising coleslaw at a significantly reduced price when added to a meal, compared to purchasing it separately.

When I collected our order, I informed the staff member that I had forgotten to include coleslaw and asked if I could add it now. The young man at the counter told me to go to the register. There, the cashier insisted I had to pay full price since it had not been included in the original order—even though my meal was still on the counter right in front of her.

I explained that this could not possibly be fair: if a customer makes a mistake on KFC’s mandatory digital ordering system, surely it should not mean “too bad, now you must pay more.” It was not the money—it was the dismissive, arrogant attitude of the staff.

I asked to speak with the manager. The manager repeated the same answer in the same condescending tone. A third staff member—apparently in some form of supervisory role—joined in only to lecture me further with the same dismissive arrogance. At this point, I simply said: “Fine. I won’t argue with you any further—you will hear my opinion officially on Trustpilot.”

To make matters worse, the chicken we received did not live up to KFC’s famous slogan, “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good.” In fact, it was burnt, dry, and far below the standard one expects from your brand.

I cannot help but question whether there has been a decline in quality control across KFC globally. For context, I would remind you that every single KFC outlet in Denmark was shut down due to fraudulent practices involving falsified expiry dates on meat. Today, KFC has no operations in Denmark at all—a fact worth reflecting upon.

One thing is certain: after this disgraceful experience, I will never, ever, ever purchase food from Kentucky Fried Chicken again—anywhere in the world.

I order KFC from skip once a month

I order KFC from skip once a month, and this is the only KFC in town I've never had a bad experience with. Food always tastes great not a salty mess like most KFC's plus they always send me extra pieces of chicken, and large portions of everything. Not sure how it has a 1.6 stars on Google it's rated 10 out of 10 on skip the dishes.

Disappointed with KFC's Tuesday Special Experience

We visited KFC tonight (Tuesday) at around 9:25 PM, excited for the Tuesday Special Combo (2-piece chicken with fries), which our family of 8 was looking forward to. However, what happened next was extremely disappointing and it happened twice with us.

As soon as we placed our order for 8 Tuesday Specials, both the cashier and the cook looked visibly annoyed and surprised. We were told they could only serve 4 combos because they “didn’t have enough chicken.” The tone and body language clearly suggested that they simply didn’t want to cook more at that hour, rather than it being an actual shortage.

This is baffling. KFC, a restaurant known for chicken, running out of chicken 90 minutes before closing? It makes no sense. What exactly is the team planning to serve until closing time?

More than anything, the experience felt disrespectful. The staff’s attitude made us feel unwelcome, and as paying customers, that’s incredibly disheartening. We left feeling disappointed and a little hurt. This is not the kind of service or attitude anyone should receive, especially from a well-established brand like KFC.

We hope this feedback is taken seriously, and future customers are treated with more respect regardless of the time they walk in.

A waste of time

The last 2 times I went to the KFC on 160th Avenue and 96 street in Edmonton they said it would take 20 minutes to prepare the standard order and after 30 minutes I had to knock on the door and then get my order 5 minutes later. If you like sitting in your car while homeless people come up and beg for money this a great place.

the kfc app

the kfc app , i used the kfc app to order lunch. worst decision ive ever made. the app took my money just fine but i didnt get ant food , i called the store got ran around all day and still no food , theyo told me it will be 7 to 10 business days before i can see my money back , there s zero customer service u can call this wasted me entire afternoon. i had to email kfc and 3 hours i get a will investigate canned response. apologizing for the inconvenience , as of 612 pm no food no call back from the area manager i was told was calling me , just paid for nothing but a head ache , shocked this is the way kfc treats a paying customer , i guess in this case the customer isn't always right .

haven't eaten kfc for years because all you taste is the salt where's the herbs and spices i thought it was against the law to falsely advertise in Canada about your restraint they don't even provide a nutritional value sheet with the meals

Disappointed with KFC’s Chicken Portioning

I’ve been a long-time customer of KFC, but my recent experience left me quite disappointed. I visited the KFC at 230 Queen St E, Brampton, ON L6Y 1M6 and i saw an add for a 4 piece combo.
They advertise serving a full chicken thigh leg, wing and rib, but what I received was clearly a single thigh cut in half and passed off as two pieces. so i asked the cashier who then called the manager i guess to asnwer the question who then went on to tell me that KFC send the chicken that way and that is what a thigh looks like. I cook so i know what a thigh looks like and what i received but a piece of bone alot of skin and hardly any meat.
This kind of practice feels misleading and doesn't meet the standards I expect from a global brand like KFC.

When I pay for a full piece, I expect a full piece—not something split up to appear like more than it is. For this reason, I’ve found myself preferring Popeyes or even local spots like Marry brown, where the portions feel more honest and satisfying.

KFC needs to do better if they want to keep loyal customers. Quality and transparency matter.

I would voice my review on as many platforms as i can until this injustice is stopped. We work hard for our money so we deserve a fair value.

rude manager and bad food

I ordered directly from KFC’s website, not through SkipTheDishes, and selected “Hand it to me” because I live downtown and didn’t want it left outside. Despite this, the site marked it as delivered—but no one came, and my security cameras confirmed it.

Ten minutes later, SkipTheDishes called (even though I didn’t order from them), saying the driver couldn’t reach me. I had received no calls or knocks. I called KFC after 75 minutes, and the manager insisted it was left at my door. I explained I had camera footage and had selected “hand it to me.” She argued, refused to accept proof, and hung up on me. No apology—just said not to order again.

2 hours after ordering, cold food arrived: rubbery fries, soggy chicken, all drumsticks, no gravy on the poutine. KFC used SkipTheDishes without consent, ignored delivery instructions, then blamed me for their mistake. Horrible service and worse food.

Served day old fries.

I was given day old fries at at 5094 Kingsway Burnaby BC. I ordered five toonies and all the fries was hard cold and must be leftover from the day before.

Food is extremely overpriced and over cooked

Food is extremely overpriced. Not only are the prices inflated; but they pieces have been cut in half (doubling the price increase). I ordered a two piece all white meat. Both pieces were dry; but one piece was actually burnt. Fries were lukewarm as well. Would not recommend the Mountain Road, Moncton, NB location.

Ordered my first ever Louisiana meal.

Got a burnt piece of chicken in a bun with a few pieces of lettuce and mountain of bbq sauce to hide taste.
Also a very very small portion of fries.
It would seem the take away ran out of hash browns, sauces, gherkins and everything else that should have been included.
Check your meals before you take it away.
They offered me £8 voucher, I said no.
I won’t go back.
