Started using Kindle 5 years ago as an alternative to buying hard copy of books on amazon. There are some opportunities to grab decent bargains particularly on university text books which can sometimes be far cheaper on kindle than hardcopy. The user experience is solid and everything downloads quickly and efficiently.

Plagio. Ho notato un plagio in alcuni eBook. Ho cercato di avvisare Amazon ma sono stata ignorata. Provate a cercare tra gli ebook il titolo l'emulatore di Loredana Pagani e confrontatelo con il libro di Lynda La Plante intitolato Dalia rossa. Basta leggere le prime pagine per accorgersi che sono uguali. La fantomatica Loredana ha cambiato il nome della protagonista, quello della vittima e pochi altri. Il nome dell'ispettore e degli altri collaboratori sono pressoché uguali. Trattandosi di un reato sarebbe il caso che Amazon intervenga rimuovendo gli ebook in questione. Io ne ho contati cinque

Not the best user experience: browsing is most effective if you know what you looking for eg book title.. If you cancel and rejoin there is no history of books previously viewed/read via kindle unlimited so you are unable to resume or even find a title you started earlier.

I would have taken this up with Amazon first, but cannot for the life of me find how to contact them!
I downloaded a sample of a book, read it to the end, but then decided that I wanted to read no further. It was therefore a surprise to receive an email yesterday thanking me for my purchase of it (for £5.99). In no way did I knowingly let alone intentionally click on anything to make such a purchase. Be ware.

A febbraio 2023 ho comprato il Kindle Paperwhite senza pubblicità, pagandolo di più rispetto a quello con la pubblicità. Mi è arrivato con la pubblicità ovviamente. Non c'è modo di scrivere nemmeno una recensione su Amazon perchè appare la scritta "Questo articolo non è idoneo per la verifica". Per il resto, nonostante alcune funzioni non siano molto intuitive, il prodotto mi piace per ora. Tuttavia fregare così i soldi ai clienti non mi sembra molto professionale.

Amo leggere da sempre e fino allo scorso anno acquistavo solo libri cartacei. Poi mi è stato regalato un Kendle e me ne sono...innamorata.
La comodità di poterlo sempre portare con me senza fastidio, di poter scaricare un romanzo con un click e di non dover più cercare posto in casa per i libri è impagabile, Leggendo in media un libro ogni quattro giorni, l'abbonamento a Kindle Unlimited mi ha offerto anche una convenienza economica.

Io ho un kindle base del 2019, che reputo più che perfetto. Voglio invece parlare del servizio in se, io leggo molto, e lo faccio prevalentemente in digitale. Kindle è l'unica piattaforma che utilizzo, è fatta bene, ma ha diverse questioni che non mi piacciono. Per prima cosa i libri sono legati all'account, questo significa che se per qualche motivo ti rubano l'account o vuoi cancellarlo potenzialmente potresti perdere centinaia di euro di libri. Esistono librerie digitali che permettono di prendere in prestito ebook, perché non sviluppare un sistema simile dove puoi scaricare i libri e tenerteli in locale magari sul pc? Poi magari li leggi solo tramite i dispositivi kindle, ma già sarebbe qualcosa in più. Inoltre non mi piace la questione di non poter prestare o farsi prestare libri, basterebbe poco per creare un sistema di condivisione tra account.
Invece se si è clienti Prime si può sfruttare prime reading che reputo un servizio davvero interessante, perché ti evita di acquistare nuove uscite o bestseller che magari poi non ti piacciono. Kindle Unlimited invece non lo trovo per niente conveniente, visto che in media un ebook costa 3 - 5€, poi dipende comunque da quanto leggete ogni mese.

The Kindle is an amazing device. But there is a major problem caused by the greed of Amazon. Recently my battery failed in my old Kindle. I didn't want to replace it with a new one because I HATE touch screens.

However, replacing the battery is a total nightmare. The back is held in place with 14 clips and glue! You need to use a hair dryer to soften the glue. Even once it's off they have deliberately used tricksy star headed screws. All this is obviously to deter people from replacing the battery and to throw the old Kindle away and buy a new one.

It's already taken me about two hours and I still haven't been able to undo the stupid tiny star shaped screws.

All this shows just how much Amazon cares about the environment, doesn't it.

I even wrote to the CEO of Amazon UK and just got a drone reply from customer service.

Wenn man Bücher kauft die weder eingescannt sind, noch Bilder enthalten funktioniert es top.
Habe aber auch schon Erfahrungen gemacht, wo das Buch eingescannt war, was zu hunderten von Seiten im Format winzig (Ich lese auf einem Handy) und unlesbar führt + das entsprechende Dokumente, aber auch einige der normalen Textdateien, keinerlei Kapitel mit direkt hinspringen Funktion haben, was das navigieren, vorallem bei vielen Seiten, schwierig macht.

Ich empfehle die Kindle Unlimited Bücher. Diese sind, wie der Name schon verrät, gut fürs Lesen in der App geeignet. Ansonsten am besten in die Bewertungen der Kindle Verison schauen, da steht das meist geschrieben.

Kindle for PC sucks! Downloads to my PC (when it works at all) have a mumbo-jumbo file name instead of the title of the book and there are numerous other files (supposedly pertaining to the particular book, also with mumbo-jumbo file names). I've de-rigistered, uinstalled, reinstalled, re-registered numerous times. I give up! It is junk!

Ein Stern ist noch viel zu viel. Das sind Geräte, die die Welt nicht braucht. Überflüssiger und nutzloser Elektromüll. Hängt sich ständig auf. Lahmarschige Bedienung, schlechte Bildschirmqualität, kein Farbdisplay usw. Erinnert mich alles irgendwie an die Anfänge der ersten "richtigen" PCs (so Anfang 90er-Jahre). Dabei finde ich die Idee nicht schlecht. Ich lese viel, vor allem richtige dicke gebundene Wälzer am liebsten. Aber auf Reisen, z. B. im Zug, ist so ein leichter, gut in der Hand liegender, E-Reader durchaus angenehm. Aber die Technik und der Service entspricht nicht annähernd dem Standard, der heutzutage möglich wäre. Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist ein völliger Witz. Mein Kindle ist, da er sich erneut verabschiedet hat und ich keinen Zugriff mehr habe, in der fachgerechten Müllverwertung gelandet. Denn da gehört er hin! Abo wurde gekündigt! E-Reader kommt mir erst wieder ins Haus, wenn er über einen entsprechenden technischen und angemessenen preislichen Standard verfügen.

Submitted few title but the overall experience is frustrating one due to silly and foolish guidelines they follow which took around more than 3 days for the approval of the title which shows that the f**king team seems busy in gossiping and only works on Saturday somewhere in Asia or Pacific Asia where they are paid through some third party. Total Rubbish as faced disappointing experience as they generalize the issue instead of pin pointing the issues in the titles if they are not good enough. Kindle Amazon is an amazing place to self-publish any of your creative storys for free and make bank. You can make an average for most people is 1,000 dollars I am definitly going to post my new horror story on there.

Am 06. Dezember 2021 habe ich einen Kindle gekauft als Weihnachtsgeschenk für meine Frau. Während der Weihnachtsfeiertage hat meine Frau vergeblich versucht, sich mit ihrem Amazon account anzumelden, um das Gerät verwenden zu können und Bücher herunter zu laden. Nach vielen Gesprächen mit den netten, aber fachlich völlig nutzlosen Damen und Herren der Amazon hotline bot man mir am 19.12.21 an, das Gerät zurück zu senden. Ich habe bereits damals eine saftige Bewertung auf trustpilot über diese grenzenlose Unfähigkeit eines angeblichen Weltkonzerns geschrieben. Auf einmal wurde ich von der "Technik" (wer immer das sein mag) von Amazon Kindle kontaktiert, die dann in Folge tatsächlich das Problem lösen konnten und meine Frau ihren Kindle seitdem problemlos nutzen konnte. Was war die Ursache gewesen? Da ich das Gerät über meinen account gekauft hatte, war ich als default user für das Gerät registriert und jeder Versuch meiner Frau, sich mit ihrem Account anzumelden, scheiterte daher, die entsprechende Fehlermeldung ist jedoch völlig nichtssagend in Bezug auf die Ursache (Ihr Gerät kann keine Verbindung aufbauen, versuchen sie es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erneut). De Hammer ist, dass nur die Mitarbeiter der Technik diesen Accountwechsel vollziehen konnten, nicht aber der Nutzer.

2) bis es soweit war, hat man uns Stundenlang mit iregendwelchem Sch... belabert, was wir alles versuchen müssten.
Vor 3 Monaten hat meine Frau routinemäßig das Passwort ihres accounts gewechselt, seither wieder dieselbe Sch... Leider hat sich meine Frau von der dämlichen hotline zum Ersatz des Gerätes, das als hardware einwandfrei funktionierte, überreden lassen. Mit dem Erfolg, dass es natürlich weiterhin nicht funktioniert, da es kein hardwarDae Problem ist.
Nun wurden wir wieder an die Technik verwiesen, die aber diesmal in Sachen Kompetenz auf call center Niveau gelandet zu sein scheint. Trotz des Hinweises auf die ehemalige account Problematik schaffen es diese "Spezialisten" nicht, das Gerät zum funktionieren zu bringen. Nun bietet man uns Kostenerstattung an und wir werden die dann wohl akzeptieren, weil man mit so einem unterirdisch unsäglichen "support" nichts erreicht und wir nur eine elektronische Leiche zu Hause liegen haben. Die bisher runtergeladenen Bücher sind ausserdem futsch, aber das macht ja nichts, die Kohle hat Amazon ja schon abgezockt.
Meine Frau wird nun wohl auch auf Tolino umsteigen, den ich mir angeeignet habe, um mit beiden Geräten das ganze Spektrum der verfügbaren Literatur nutzen zu können. Die Lektion aus dieser Geschichte:
1) Amazon Kindle ist ein völlig nutzloses Produkt
2) Amazon Kindel support ist eine völlig nutzlose Institution
3) das Ganze entspricht einem mittlerweile sattsam bekannten Geschäftsmodell der Amerikaner, das leider weltweit kopiert und angewandt wird: Umsatz und natürlich Gewinn mit den völlig überteuerten Geräten zu machen auf Teufel komm raus, aber wenn der Kunde Probleme hat: help yourself.
Nie wieder Kindle! und ich rate jedem Leser, lassen Sie die Finger von diesem Produkt und seinem kompetenzlosen "support".

A causa di Kindle ho chiuso il mio account Amazon. Ho ordinato per SBAGLIO un libro su Kindle mentre volevo la versione cartacea, a quel punto visto l' errore, dovuto alla poca chiarezza di Amazon, che ha messo i due pulsanti di selezione per Kindle e versione cartacea del libro estremamente vicini, ho provato a scaricare l' app Kindle, ma anche una volta scaricato l'app il libro virtuale non è mai stato inviato alla libreria di Kindle, a quel punto ho richiesto il reso. Hanno comunque effettuato l' addebito sulla cc e il reso non mi è stato effettuato, quindi l' importo è stato trattenuto senza che io abbia mai nemmeno visto l' ombra del testo acquistato.
