Nach einem Update waren meine liebsten, wichtigsten Such- und Sortierfunktionen weg. Zudem werden überall die lässtigen Cover angezeigt. Selbst wenn man die Listenanzeige auswählt. Das Blättern wird zur Qual. Der schlecht anwählbare Scrollbalken ist keine Hilfe. Und immer wieder indirekte Werbung. Obwohl ich viel Geld bezahlt habe, diese nicht angezeigt zu bekommen. Alles dank eine ungefragen Updates. Dabei ist die Hardware bei der Benutztung super. Und dann das mit dem Format epub. Ohne Umweg über Amazon bekommt man seine Ebooks nicht auf seinen Kindle. Mobis bekommt man direkt vom PC übertragen auf den Kindle. Warum also dieser Umweg über Amazon? Zur Kontrolle was auf die Reader geladen wird???? Nach 4 Kindle bin ich auf Pocketbook umgestiegen. Das Hardwarehandling ist hier nicht so toll wie bei Kindle, aber die Software ist besser. Schade. Ich vermisse meinen Kindle. Aber immer hin kann ich auf meinem Pocketbook prima Musik hören, die ich nicht zwangsweise bei Amazon kaufen muss.

I am passionate about reading. Like every other bookworm, I prefer a hard-copy book. However, in this modern-day era is much easier to find ebooks rather than hard copies. And it’s way cheaper as well 😀
Finally, I granted myself a proper reading tablet - Kindle. I did thorough research on whether it is better to buy a regular tablet or a Kindle. So, if your purpose is for reading, I recommend Kindle for many reasons.
First, it is more comfortable to hold it and read.
Second, its screen doesn't have a blue light, and it won’t tire your eyes after a couple of hours of reading.
Third, you can read outside and in daylight too, which will be much harder with a regular tablet.
And finally, the price is quite reasonable.

I have Kindle 10th generation.
It works well except I am unable to connect it to my laptop. So I am forced to purchase only books from kindle library. I can’t transfer my own files. But that’s not a reason I gave them 2 stars. The main reason is because it impossible to contact them. I tried all emails and everything. Nothing. That’s the most irritating thing.

I bought a book on Amazon and out of nowhere they charged me 17,50 on my creditcard. Never mentioned any costs when I downloaded the app.

Doesn’t work properly on iPad

Blew 25 quid on a comic and when it goes full screen the page goes blank, apparently it’s a known bug and had been for years . Wish I’d known before and I wouldn’t have wasted my time and money

Me lo hanno regalato, altrimenti non l'avrei comprato neanche con 10 Black Friday. Mai visto una schifezza simile, un inno alla schiavitù by Amazon. Per poter leggere un EPUB che, in quanto STANDARD APERTO, non ti mette le manette come vorrebbe fare Amazon , c'è da sputare sangue quando, con altri lettori basta un tocco.
Da me non hanno preso neanche un cen e, piuttosto che pagare Amazon per mettere un libro sul kindle, lo compro cartaceo al supermercato.

I received an advert for 2 kindle books which still haunt me to this day.
I will therefore never subscribe to Kindle and think these writers who promote child abuse and pedoephlia should be in prison and the people who read it!!

Es mein dritter Kindle (Paperwhite) und das schlechteste. Stürzt ständig ab, bzw. Lassen sich die Seiten nicht weiterblättern, es zeigt auch keine Seitenzahl an, bzw. verliert sie immer wieder. Schade! Wird wohl billigst in China produziert? Schade, trübt die Lesefreude, aber auch die Animation für weitere Käufe, sehr ein. Schade!!

My Gen 11 Kindle has had an intermittent fault, I stupidly didn't get in touch before the warranty ran out so it finally died completely. Less than 2 years old. Amazon came up with £47 and 15% of a warranty as a discount? Of course they haven't applied it and the link to get back to the chat is now unavailable. I am also banned from reviewing my device. An update. The £47 is going into my bank? Not what I was told. The 15% discount may appear on my account in 3-5 days. The 20% promotion may apply if I return my broken device but there's no guarantee.

I am an authors wife. My husband has had his book series on Amazon for a while now. He has worked on his stories on and off for many years, which culminated in a series that I encouraged him to publish via Amazon indie authors.
Everything was fine for quite a while, until he decided to re edit a couple of grammar mistakes in his books and then also decided to put them on kindle.
Suddenly while we were on the only foreign holiday we’ve had since 2005. They sent a message saying they were closing his account?
They didn’t give a reason or any way for him to correct any issues.
He hasn’t sold them anywhere else, he has written them by himself.
All sounds a bit fishy to me. Have asked a few times now if they can do something, but they haven’t done anything.
Anyone wanting to publish your books, don’t bother, they take what they can initially then close you down if you don’t sell anymore. Very bad service.
As an ex military soldier discharged with ptsd, this has affected him in the worst of ways. I’m left picking up the pieces. He doesn’t even want to look at his books now. It’s not like we had any money to spare on extras either. Awful way to treat anyone.

What a shame..

Shockingly bad, the app is terrible. Trying to creat a user name has proven impossible. The one time code doesn’t arrive the like buses three turn up.

Computers have been able to read text since the 1950s. However, Kindle has managed to incorporate so many obstructions and annoying features, that it becomes less user-friendly than a Rubik's Cube blindfolded – even for genuine paying customers!

I recently purchased my first e-book for Kindle on Amazon. At that time, I had no idea what frustrations lay ahead.

I didn't receive a PDF or anything similar; instead, I got a peculiar online file. And no, it's not as simple as opening that text in a browser. That's out of the question! (Although computers from the 1950s might've been up to the task...)

I needed to download their software. So frustrating. My disdain for Kindle grew. Yet, the frustration didn't end there. The 130 MB download took over 60 minutes! The server is slower than a snail on sticky tape.

I had to go to bed before I could even start reading the e-book.

A new day dawned, and my mood had been reset. I believed everything would now work smoothly. As I began reading the first few pages, it seemed that Kindle was just a typical e-book reader. But then I noticed something odd...

Whenever I copied a phrase from the book to my notes, it always added a lengthy and strange citation! I had to manually remove this each time. There's no option to disable this. What a nonsensical feature! Protecting the author's copyright is commendable. But to do so with a cumbersome text block? It's as precarious as a hedgehog in a balloon shop.

Kindle: the cancer of modern times. I hope its influence hasn't spread too widely across our planet, so we can address it before it further deteriorates our world.

I will never purchase an e-book via Kindle again.

I'm a public speaker. Hundreds, if not thousands, will hear this story.

Please, at the very least, try to satisfy your customers.

Got a new Anazon Fire as the professional reviews were so good, but I wish I'd read the user reviews. It's Ok if you want to just stream movies but rubbish for most other things. Does not appear to be compatible with many apps such as Zoom, Libby or Gmail. Customer service is so difficult to access my and unhelpful. A waste of money. Wish I'd stuck with Samsung tablets.

Screen broke on my grandsons tablet whilst in warranty. I spent 11 hours trying to sort a warranty replacement with no solution as yet - all because it was given as a gift and registered by the recipients parent
As I see it currently the warranty is worthless as I can’t claim under it - their replacement process keeps telling me (purchaser) and the registering person that the device is not linked. Device good, customer service extremely disappointing - buyer beware

Mi ritrovo un addebito di abbonamento kindle che avevo, nei tempi previsti, annullato. Contatto assistenza che mi specifica che l'abbonamento è attivo su un account a me familiare...quindi morale della favola, se lo attivi su un dispositivo, è in automatico collegato agli altri "a te familiari", se lo disdico però, vale solo per quello dove hai eseguito l'operazione, negli altri rimane attivo e paghi...alle solite...vasellina pronta all'uso come omaggio.

Dispositivo assolutamente inaffidabile...me lo hanno regalato ma la batteria fa veramente schifo. Ora si e bloccato in una schermata con la batteria scarica ma SENZA PUNTO ESCLAMATIVO semplicemente scarica.Non si carica in nessun modo non si riavvia nemmeno tenendo premuto 40 sec bla bla nemmeno cambiando cavetto o alimentatore.Mai più Kindle!!!

I’ve bought several books and comics from there and I will definitely do it again. I’ve also saved a ton off money because buying a digital book is way cheaper than a real one. You should definitely try it for yourself!
