Duidelijke website en een super snelle levering.

Ik wilde heel graag van Big-tech af. Na enige tijd zoeken kwam ik op de website van Laptop met Linux terecht.
Ze namen de tijd voor mij om samen een mooie laptop samen te kunnen stellen. Na een paar dagen werd de laptop netjes bezorgd.
Voor mij persoonlijk duurde het een aantal dagen voordat ik gewend was geraakt aan Linux. Nu we een aantal weken verder zijn, ben ik ontzettend blij voor het feit dat ik gekozen heb voor LaptopmetLinux.nl
Wat een geweldige product! Het geld dubbel en dwars waard.

Dit was voor mij de overstap naar Linux, best spannend. Tot nu toe gaat het allemaal heel makkelijk: alles doet het zonder enige moeite. Heel fijn dat zoveel programma's al vooraf geinstalleerd zijn (naar eigen keuze). Ik kon meteen er mee werken: zelfs mijn tekentablet en printer deed het zonder eerst stuurprogramma's te moeten installeren :-)

Ik had eerst gebeld omdat ik twijfelde. Heel duidelijk en fijn gesprek gehad met Peter. Er was nog een kleine hick-up in het bestelproces, dat heeft hij ook goed opgelost.
Ik ben een zeer tevreden klant!

I recently purchased a TongFang GX4 14-inch Metal Ultrabook from this company.

Positives.
-Excellent customer service prior to purchase. I really appreciated being able to call them and get my questions answered by a very helpful real human being before buying. (I can't comment on how good the customer service is if there's a problem post purchase)

- They have a good website which is very easy to navigate.

-Great customization! I like that fact that they not only install the Linux distribution of your choice, but also give you the option of having other tools pre-installed if you want. Lots of other optional extras available (extra power cable, personalized engraving etc)

-They provide a free backup USB stick so that you can reinstall your system if necessary.

-Webcam privacy cache is standard on the machine I bought.

- Delivery was quite quick and the packaging was very good.

- The laptop works out of the box which is great for people new to Linux. (Don't forget to do a software update before you use the machine though)

Negatives.
Slightly delayed shipping because the 16GB RAM I requested wasn't in stock. They installed 2X8GB sticks instead which is OK, but if I need to upgrade to 32GB I can't just buy another 16GB stick.

No instruction manual is provided at all for this laptop. I would have liked at least a quick start guide detailing where the different ports are and explaining the key functions.

Build quality is OK but I found it slightly disappointing. The mouse pad isn't as good as the one on my old Dell XPS 13. It works, but it does weird things sometimes, occasional stutters, and it can be difficult to zoom in and out. The screen seems to be pretty good quality but it emits flashes from time to time. This never happened on my old Dell. The keyboard is back-lit, but it's not as good as the backlighting on the Dell either. This isn't really laptopswithlinux's fault I guess, but I'm used to better quality.

I didn't appreciate the first review request I received from them. It would have required me to provide personal data to a third party which I'm not willing do do.

Overall though, I'm happy to recommend laptopwithlinux so far. I'd give them a 4.5/5 if it was an option on Trustpilot.

This is the third computer I've had from LwL. As always the standard of service is consistently excellent. I found it necessary to 'phone Peter or Chris on a few occasions and each time the telephone was answered within two rings and surprise, surprise, by an actual biological being
as opposed to the usual AI Bot one encounters nowadays.
I opted for the Tong-Fang with Nvidia Graphics. It is, of course, extremely power hungry. The battery re-charge time being one hour is helpful but for someone who travels long distances by train, I feel a fast charge cable would be an improvement but I suppose that's beyond the innovative capabilities of the Chinese due to the high power demands. It's such an inconvenience dragging around a transformer/brick which weighs far too much. It would also be useful to have some form of
basic diagram of the contents of the computer as access to the battery which will require renewal, sooner rather than later, is presumably attained by removing the ten rear screws?
But these are minor considerations because I know that Should I encounter a problem in the future I can contact Peter or Chris and it will be dealt with speedily and with efficiency.

Really fast delivery, assembled as ordered, great variety in hard- and software choice, all kinds of payment possibilities. Would order anytime again.

Twee e-mails met vragen voor hulp op afstand bleken niet gelezen. De medewerker kon mij niet helpen met bestanden overzetten van mijn iPhone op de linux laptop.Er werd dus niets opgelost!
Ook de bij hen gekochte dure externe harde schijf bevatte geen kabel, en volgens hen zou ik die zelf wel kwijt hebben gemaakt en ik moest maar een nieuwe bestellen bij Bol.com
Dit is geen goede service, maar verantwoordelijkheid afschuiven op de klant.

I purchased my laptop over two years ago now. Having retired recently, I have been using it more now than when I first bought it. I specifically wanted a non-Microsoft and/or Apple product. Not having much experience with Linux-based systems, I had quite a few questions. Peter Pont, my Customer Service Rep. was patient and of great help in determining which laptop to buy based on my needs; pre-installing programs based on my needs; and finally, made the purchasing/delivery process quite easy, as I live in Canada. I received the laptop in perfect condition in a timely manner. I am very happy with the service I received from Laptop with Linux!

I have long been frustrated at trying to remove MS from my old laptops and install linux myself. This company has detected a market in non-geeky people like me who still want a less "corporate" computer, and is serving it.

Perfect, from communication to execution to product quality!

Heb 3 jaar geleden een Clevo NJ70PU gekocht bij Laptopmetlinux die mij zeer goed bevalt.
Had onlangs een update probleem waarbij ik snel en uitstekend geholpen ben.

I have for several years used Laptop with Linux. From LwL I can receive a laptop configured to my exact requirements. Also, I can obtain excellent advice from them.

Best place to buy Linux ready laptop in Europe. Extremely professional, precise online shop with great communication / "human" skills.

Geweldige ondersteuning bij aankoop van Clevo laptop. Geen enkel probleem om de laptop op een later gewenste datum te leveren. Goede en correcte informatie n.a.v. vragen. En de hardware doet wat er is beloofd. Aanrader!

Have to call out their excellent customer service! I bought the Clevo NL41PU 14-inch two years ago. Had to contact them once for a broken power adapter and once for a faulty firmware upgrade delivered via Ubuntu. In both cases they resolved the issue very quickly and competently for me!

Regarding the laptop order itself: quite happy with the customization options, they even fulfilled my request to set a cute puppy as desktop background :D I wish the build quality of the laptop were a bit higher, it just feels "cheap" compared to a Dell XPS or MacBook, even though it looks great! But I guess you can't have everything in life.

Laptop is brilliant.
Only one problem - solved by me.
Box ticked on order (and on check sheet supplied with laptop) for United Kingdom mains plug on charger.
Laptop shipped with mains plug from another country.
Fortunately, I have a suitable mains plug on another lead.
I'm happy to go with that. Please don't offer an exchange or any other solution.

When I created my order on an old PC, the shipping address filled in automatically. The crazy thing is, I didn't pay attention to it and it was the wrong address. I only noticed it after the order was complete. This was a Friday evening. In a panic, I quickly emailed the help desk requesting the address be changed before shipment.
To my delight and I received an email the next week confirming my order and the address change. I was so relieved.
