Great facility, clean and friendly. I had 2cataracs removed and lenses fitted, amazing difference. They will continue after your operation to see you until they are sure all is ok. Well worth the money after all it is your eyes!

I was having trouble with cataracts in my right eye and could hardly see even with my contact lenses or glasses and relied on my left eye. After cataract surgery and alighnment I can now see perfectly well without glasses or contact lenses for distances. My vision is amazing compared to pre operation. I would certainly recommend Laser Vidion Scotland at Shawfair hospital. You choose the date and everything is hassle free- no cancelled operations. Lovely surroundings and staff and consultant. Thanks very much for restoring my sight.

Had LASEK surgery carried out by the fantastic Sanjay in march of this year and have just been for my 6 month appointment where my vision is one line greater than 20:20. To say I am delighted is an understatement, as cliche as it sounds I really do wish I'd confronted my fears and had this done 10yrs ago.

Spire hospital really is the most professional outfit for laser vision from consultation right through to the surgery and aftercare received.

No hard sale or pestering calls and emails unlike their high street competitors.

All the staff members were really fantastic, trustworthy, reassuring and passionate about their work.

To summerise:

My eye sights better than I can ever remember.

The surgery was to be taken with a pinch of salt, 15 minutes in theatre which was pain free and I found more interesting rather than the panic I had imagined. Couple days after of gritty feeling uncomfortable eyes which I think was more the contacts than anything else as once they were removed it was gone. Then watch in amazement as your eye sight improves day on day.

I used to get headaches from long spells of computer this appears to have subsided.

And best or all no more glasses, of which I hated wearing!

I would recommend Spire laser vision Scotland to anyone that is considering the procedure. Skip the high street gimmicks and go straight to the best!

I had cataracts removed and premium distance lenses implanted in both eyes and I can't express the difference it has made. It's life changing. I can drive without glasses, in fact I can see perfectly apart from some help with reading. Going from almost blind to vision the equivalent of a twenty year old is mad! I decided to have the procedure done privately because It was important for me to choose the Ophthalmic surgeon and that I could get premium lens implant. Don't procrastinate like I did! Laser Vision Scotland come highly recommended.

I arrived at Laser Vision following a recommendation from a neighbour and 6 weeks later have changed from being virtually blind to having fantastic vision....I could not believe how poor my eyesight was then and how great it now is.
Cataracts removed and lens' installed. It seemed to be an expensive thing to do but on reflection I would have paid twice that amount - the results justify that.

Professional friendly staff and would thoroughly recommend (and have been since my surgery) and if you are thinking about it, don't swither. Best thing I've done for my eyes. Wish it was available years ago.

I have just had lens replacement procedures in both eyes, a week apart. My surgery was completed two weeks ago and I am still seeing improvement every day.

Although I was nervous, from the first appointment I felt cared for and made to feel more confident. The procedure was explained in a way that was very reassuring, I felt wholly listened to and all my questions were answered.

The surgery has already made a remarkable difference to my life. From having poor vision even with glasses, I can now drive again and see to write this review without the aid of glasses.

I now have the joy back of a simple walk and seeing the details of the flowers on the bushes: the tiny May blossom as it changes from white to pink within a few days; to be able to see detail on daisies and buttercups shining in the sun. I knew from others that colour was enhanced, but am now experiencing it for myself. I am so lucky to have had this done in early summer when everything is at its most beautiful.

I am so glad I found the courage to go ahead and have the surgery, and so have regained my confidence by having my sight improved to this extent. My heartfelt thanks go to the whole team for the excellent care and services they provided throughout the process, and for their patience and support.

This is a team that was good at every stage of my contact. an unhurried assessment,clear information and sensitive care. I was able to have two procedures within a week of one another and I feel confident in the outcome and would use this team again if I needed to.

I am in my sixties and had lens replacement surgery. I highly recommend Mr Jonathan Ross (Laser Vision, Spire Shawfair Park Hospital, Edinburgh) and his excellent team. The facilities are top rate, the staff friendly and informative and the operation was much easier than I expected. It’s so great now not to wear glasses except for low magnification glasses for close up detailed work. The treatment I received from start to finish was outstanding. Both the facilities are the staff were excellent. I was extremely apprehensive before the operations but everyone went out of their way to reassure me.

I had both cataracts & very myopic vision with a prescription strength of 9 I now have 20/20 vision which is an amazing result.
The surgery itself was painless & all the staff were lovely & ensured I was relaxed on both surgery days.

The professional care and support from all staff at Laser Vision Scotland, from initial assessment, surgery and through to discharge was exceptional. I am 55 years old and had mild astigmatism resulting in difficulty focusing both near and distant objects. My surgery was with Mr. Sanjay Mantry for toric lens replacement who put my mind at rest with explanation throughout and reassurance during the procedure. I had a rare complication with the first eye called a CMO, which completely settled with simple steroid treatment and was assessed with a specific scan.The second eye was routine and on discharge I now have 20/20 vision. My depth of vision has much improved with near and intermediate vision exceptional. I can now read tiny print on packets.
