How I wished I would have read the reviews on Lawnguru before reaching out for lawn service. Buyers Beware is some sound advice. Don't go through what I have to not to pay for service that wasn't completed. I've used lawn service from people starting their own lawn business. Lawnguru need to be ashamed to bring these so call lawn perfessionals and represent them for doing such a poor job. I feel scammed out of my money giving away free money. I'm out of $41.50 for a half ass job, that Lawnguru sent back to fix and the group literally stay out there for a little over 10 minutes with a weed eater and assumed that was a fix. The grass looks like it need to be cut. I have to come out of pocket to pay someone else to come out tomorrow and do a lawn job that look like it was serviced. I'll be filing a complaint to every consumer reporting business I can find. I'm not paying for service that was not done correctly.
The excuse one of the customers rep gave was just as poor.
Hidden Fees / Terrible Customer Support
I booked lawn care service through them and paid an overgrowth fee because my lawn was up to 12 inches overgrown. The servicer completed the job and then several days later charged me an additional fee, stating it was more overgrown. I disputed this with the company since I did not agree to the service at that price, and they refused to refund the additional fees.
Horrible company
Horrible company. They tell you someone is coming and no one shows up for over 24 hours. Had a no-show and than they cancelled the service. Once When I cancelled, they charged me $5! Once a guy came with a little shovel and cleared a path about a foot wide. Last time they did sidewalk but not driveway. One occasion didn’t do the sidewalk in back because he said he couldn’t open the gate because snow was in the way! Ridiculous! You can’t reach a human to talk to and all done with chat line but takes forever to get a response. Don’t waste your money. Wish I would have read all the bad reviews before I subscribed.

the worst service ever! I hired them for snow removal and last time the snow stopped at noon and they didn't,t show up I called them by 3 o'clock they said will be there in 1 hour but they come after 9 pm. they are un-responsible and they didn't even clean the driveway well. never do service with them again. don't waste your money.

Don't waste your time. This has to be the worst of the worst. Promised snow plow never arrived. This isn't the first time that has happened with these guys. If I could rate them 0 I would have but that option didn't exitst.

I couldn't give a zero so a 1 it is. They sent someone named "Brandy M" to come out and cut my lawn. They missed cutting 25% of my lawn. Ok stuff happens so I contacted customer care who told me after I sent 6 pictures that my claim was NOT VALID and I was outside the 48 hour window. The whole reason I used them was I was traveling and didnt see the neglect until after their 48 hours.

They are refusing to acknowledge responsibility and further refusing to fix it.
Beware of poor customer service and extra charges without reason
I have used their mowing service a handful of times when my husband was working a lot. Normally, they do a good job with the exception of promising they would be out that same day and not showing up until the next day. This last time, however, I received a terrible job. Parts of my grass weren’t cut, they didn’t weed whip around things and to my surprise, we were charged a $25.00 overgrowth charge without any notice. First of all, my husband cuts the grass weekly and would NEVER allow it to get over their 6 inch mark and when I contacted the company and asked them for some kind of proof, they send me pictures of the guy mowing my lawn. They refused to refund my money and offered to give me a $10.00 credit. The credit is useless because I will never be using them again.
The AI COMPANY..cause you never speak to a human
First time,met the guy..told him what I wanted done..was told HE would ALWAYS cut my yard. 2Nd. Time it rained..3 days later no show/no communication and the send this woman WHO NEVER CUT THE GRASS..then it's "send us pictures of the lawn"..WHY when I had NO BEFORE pictures..I sent them..they sent me " we did not recieve your photos" that BS..so I'm out 53$ and some change..DON'T USE THE AI COMPANY

I gave this service so many chances and if I could give it 0 stars I would. The app is not well built and causes so many issues between customers and providers. Not to mention, its chaotic. I gave this app 4 chances and every single time I was told someone picked up my job and was on their way, no one showed up and I had to reach out to support. When someone did show up, most recently, it was at 6:45 am on a Saturday. The job was supposed to have been done on Monday- 5 days ago. I have told everyone I know to avoid this service.

Worst company I have ever tried to do business with. Customer service is an endless loop of subpar AI and chat bots. I would recommend steering very clear of this company for any lawn services. They bid the work, and then offer no support to the shoddy contractors they onboard.
Additionally, upon trying to break up with them Via the app, I was not permitted to remove my payment method. BE CAREFUL!
Contacted Lawngurus over a week ago
Contacted Lawngurus over a week ago. It is now 10 days since I received a quote and accepted service. Lawn is growing so out of control since no one has cut my yard yet. Neighbors are complaining and I would love to cut it myself but just came home from hospital. Had a leg amputation. My lawn mower has a flat tire and cannot change. Thank you for such great service!!!! Still waiting…..

They did cut my grass... for 100% more than others would... also cutting down my flowers... and leaving terrible mess behind. When I complained, they gave me $20 bucks off without any explanation, apology, nothing...

Find this lawn mowing service online. The provider is not reliable, did not show up on the date supposed to. Not able to hold on the representative to report, each time when I call, the system always ask you leave the message or text you back. communication is not smooth. Finally the guy came one day late, he did poor work, only mowing without trimming and cleaning. it is a mess. Do not recommend at all.

If I could give zero stars I would. Tried to book on two occasions. First time they said I was scheduled, but no one ever accepted the job so I was stuck waiting for two days. When I tried again, service was accepted on 4/28 for 5/9 service (which I paid extra to choose). Day of, no one came out and when I messaged the provider, he never replied. Attempts to call gave me a disconnected number.
Customer service is a JOKE. spoke with three different people who said they would message the provider -great, I already did? The last customer service agent literally left the chat (no phone number available- SUSPICIOUS!!) as I was typing a reply.

Customers beware of the "pricing"…
Customers beware of the "pricing" lawnguru charges you. I noticed the area of my lawn they highlighted was a charge of XX amount, however half of that area was not lawn, but woods that did not need to be mowed. I had customer support change the map and request a pricing update, which they stated had not changed, stating the property was traced improperly. Sketchy at best. That being said, the people who actually cut my yard did do a great job. Lesson of the story, hire the mower directly, and bail on this service.

received a quote and submitted photos and accepted the quote. When the guy came out, he wanted almost twice as much so I cancelled. I was charged anyway and was told it would take a few days to get a refund. I complained on the Facebook sites and the accused me of scamming them. Rude and terrible customer service. I've had my lawn cut through them for a couple of year but no more. I'm done with them.
