Very positive experience from Leaders in Witham. Would absolutely recommend them - they were trustworthy and transparent from beginning to end.

Note: This review is for a sole agent at Leaders Witham and does not apply to anyone else in the office.

I am writing this review one year after the initial engagement with agent Ben Ironside regarding the letting of my property through Leaders Witham.

The service Ben provided has led directly to tens of thousands of pounds in legal fees for eviction proceedings.

The relationship started adequately, but once the tenancy was finalised and Ben's commission was paid, the level of care and professionalism dropped to zero. He essentially abandoned his responsibilities.

Ben gave me wrong advice regarding the referencing for the tenancy. Furthermore, he made promises he failed to follow through on.
For example:
* He promised to add a guarantor to the contract and failed to do so, even telling the tenant a guarantor wasn't needed. As a result, they stopped seeking one, which has severely undermined the contract's security.
* Crucially, he failed to inform the tenants that I intended to sell the property at the end of their tenancy. Had the tenants known this vital information, they never would have agreed to the contract. This was a clear act of concealment to secure the deal.

This negligence laid the groundwork for the serious problems that followed. I am now facing several thousands pounds in legal costs simply to rectify the consequences of his initial poor advice and follow-through.

This agent's lack of care after securing the contract demonstrates a profound indifference to the massive financial and emotional distress he caused his client. I strongly advise any landlord to avoid using Ben Ironside for their property management or letting needs.

Both Gabby and Tom have a very positive and helpful disposition. Let's not forget that this is the biggest purchase you're likely to ever make. Sensitivity, understanding requirements and offering as much information are where they stand out. I've spoken to other agents that ask so many questions as a tick boxing exercise and lack personability. This is where they both excelled. The service received was absolutely professional and the communication to keep us updated was faultless.

Gabby, knew about the property in advance. Was able to answer questions without having to make us wait or call the office for answers. Saves on time. She was very patient. Was honest with her advice without being pushy. Helped us focus on imagination to what could be done with the property.

The estate agent Gabby was extremely efficient in setting up my viewing, ensuring the process was quick and hassle-free. Throughout our interactions, she remained highly professional, providing clear communication and expert guidance. Gabby’s attention to detail and commitment to excellent service made the experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

It was a pleasure dealing with the staff of Leaders. They sold my property promptly and are very personable and easy to deal with.

Dealing with Gabby Giedraite at the Witham office is a complete pleasure. She is an intelligent and focused young woman with a very genuine interest in promoting the property to its best advantage according to the vendors advice. This makes the service very individual and not just a corporate style one-size-fits-all approach. She had been open to slightly different promotion approaches (which are working) and displays innovative thinking and personalised services. I can easily see this agent moving up, up, up through the Estate Agency career path and I consider myself very lucky to have her services whilst she is still available at the Witham office. If you are with a different agent and suffering all the silly mistakes, selfish manipulations and indifference to your requirements which seems to be the norm in Estate Agency, frankly, then I advise switching to Gabby at Leaders. You will not be disappointed. The service and number of viewings so far has been excellent and I hope to receive an offer in the near future.

Having Ben Ironside on your team is one of the best things you have done for Leaders.
He got us an amazing house and was quick to respond to every question with had even when we had slight delays.
Getting this property was a breeze all because of Ben.

Tom and the team at the Witham branch were extremely helpful and very professional. Being 1st time landlords Tom was able to answer all our questions and provide advice throughout the process.

No deposit option is a scam!!! We was pushed into taking the NDO by the representative who showed us round the property. We told her we had the deposit money but she kept pushing and pushing until we took the no deposit option using every tactic she had. Then when we checked out they charged us through the roof charging us for stuff they claimed the landlord was going to fix before we moved in.

She was obsessed with us leaving a 5 star review on Google she asked us I don’t know how many times “make sure you leave us a 5 star Google review” she even emailed me 3 times. Funny thing is she was nice as pie helping every way she could but as soon as we had the keys and had paid all our fees we struggled to get in contact with anyone!!

There was countless problems with the property when we moved in that the representative told us would be fixed before we moved in and none were, even down to the shower not working and the bath plug didn’t push down so we was having to go back to our parents to have a shower. I called I don’t know how many times with no answer. Then after 2 weeks of calling them I finally got through to a rude girl in the Colchester branch who rudely told me all faults had to be reported on the online portal(which no one had told us about). We used the online portal to report the issues with the property but no one helped or fixed the issues, then they charged us for these problems when we moved out!!

Ive been renting for over 10 years and I’ve never used such money grabbing useless letting agents and I would never use Leaders ever again!! All they are after is a bit of commission and a big chunk of money when you move out for damage you didn’t cause!!

Absolutely disgusting bunch of people!!
