A very fun and engaging course where I learnt a multitude of cooking skills and and recipes I will have for life. 😊

I enjoyed the course and it was well presented. Having completed it I think it was a little pricey considering the information shared can be found online and I was hoping for more community involvement. But overall I learned new skills in the kitchen

A fantastic programme that meets the skill requirements for D of E whilst also teaching my daughter a range of skills. The recipes were easy to follow with helpful videos, a handy ingredients and equipment list shared in advance and feedback on the finished product.

Highly recommend. I did the nutrition in culinary practice. I found this very handy at bringing the theory of nutrition into practice. The dishes were delicious. By doing the case study assignment has taught me so much.

My daughter did the 13 week cookery course for her DofE skills section and it was brilliant. Apart from buying the ingredients for her she was able to completely independently make a whole host of different meals, starters and puddings by following the videos. We thoroughly enjoyed everything she cooked and she’s picked up lot of useful skills along the way, videos are very clear, broken down into sections and supported but the written instructions as well. The tutors are available via the app to respond to questions and give feedback on the work produced from the photos uploaded and any questions posed. All in all would definitely recommend.

The food tasted delicious.

The course was good , the teachers were great too. However ,I thought the choice of recipes given in the course could have been better.

Good instructions for preparing and cooking meals. Nice variety of foods that teenagers might not normally cook with. A few ingredients were difficult to source (cornmeal). It would be helpful to know how many people each recipe would serve.

Really liked the recipes would be good if you could follow the recipie without having to watch through all of the videos again maybe adding a written recipie at the end to download as an option for future making .

Unfortunately all the courses I've looked at contain no accessible functionality; that means disabled people find it very difficult to use the, generally very good courses.

I made this point in 2019 and I see no improvement today: 2023.

As an example, the free example class 'Victoria Sponge' does no support subtitles needed by disable people with communication problems. I did the 'Hollandaise' course in 2019 that had no subtitles. All of the current free example course do not support subtitles.

Leiths courses are very good. No question. But the technical functionally behind the Internet courses (I assume an IT company) is not!

Any good computer software has Accessible Functionality; for example, subtitles. A summary of conversations is not good enough! The whole conversation is necessary just like another "un-disabled" person needs.

Tube has provides the required functionally for many years!

I booked the course for my 15-year old daughter and watched her confidence grow each week.
The teaching videos were easy to follow with nice presenters. Fun to see what the other participants had cooked.

Chef Skills was my 3rd Leith's online course. I really enjoyed the step up from the Essential Cookery course and the videos and tutorials support you all the way. Having clear instructions - both in the videos and the written documents helps you gain confidence - and its good to be stretched with recipes which use Chef Skills. I had a great tutor in Louisa who was fantastic with tips and suggestions. I would recommend reaching out to your online classmates - it makes the experience more fun! Thank you Leith's for another excellent course.

This is the 4th Leith course I have done. The on-line sessions are well-structured and easy to follow, the mentor provides helpful, constructive comment and the supporting documentation allows me to revisit sessions as necessary.

Great online course! The tutors are really helpful and quick at replying, and the online videos are really well created. The app is easy to use and is well professional. Overall amazing experience.
