Not everything is explained even with the LifeRx FAQ so here are a few tips for a US customer.

#) Many forum posters will tell you that "it's illegal to order drugs from other countries" eg. India. In their rush to scare you they omit that if the drug is approved for your condition both in the US and in India, it's not illegal and neither country will stop you from importing enough for personal use, if you have a proper prescription. A 90-day supply seems to be a standard acceptable amount.

#) And you are the one importing the meds. LifeRx never sees them. They pay a foreign pharmacy to send the meds to you, and provide that pharmacy with a proper Rx for the process.

#) So LifeRx requires a picture of your written, on-paper prescription with the doctor's ink signature etc. A copy of this travels with the meds in case Customs checks.

#) LifeRx will often give you a choice of multiple countries to import from. They say that for brand names e.g. Pfizer the only difference will be the MSRP in each country. That can vary hugely: drugs made to sell in India might be 1/10th the list price of the identical drug sent to the US market. LifeRx may offer an even cheaper generic too, which will have the same active ingredient.

#) LifeRx explains that they list these multiple identical products at greatly differing prices because some people just want to buy from a specific country; I figure maybe a trust issue or they want to get it fastest. So that's up to the customer.

#) LifeRx will need your bank account and routing number to create an e-check. E-checks are very secure so don't worry about this. One confusion is when they say "be sure to approve the transaction". I think they mean "if your bank questions it" because normally no further approval is required.

#) LifeRx quotes 2-4 weeks delivery as standard. As mentioned above, when you place an order with them, they place an order in the source country, and the meds are shipped directly from there to you, passing through US Customs. So meds from Canada should arrive more quickly than from India. However, since international transport is only one part of the timeline I doubt that choice of source country has much effect, and that you can expect 3 week delivery in most cases.

MY CASE: I bought some very expensive medicine for which the US price is $830 for 90 tabs. LifeRx has the same factory product at a range of prices down to $77 if sourced through India, which I chose. They have an even cheaper generic but I decided on name brand for my first order.

Since my doctor wanted a 90-day supply and that seems acceptable to everyone I didn't look for other options, but there may be some.

LifeRx offers some free shipping but I paid the extra $17 to get "Standard shipping" which is faster and fully tracked door-to-door by USPS. A minor glitch was that LifeRx didn't automatically send me the tracking number and I eventually had to get it via their very good Chat feature.

LifeRx processed the order promptly and within a week it left India. Five days later it was in US Customs in NYC. A week after that (which includes the July 4 holiday) it was delivered to me by the USPS.

The meds I got are unquestionably first quality product, marked as made in Germany for sale in India, with every detail right including a zillion-page fine print brochure. And it costs me $1/pill instead of $9/pill !!

In retrospect the whole process was straightforward, easy, and trouble-free. It would have been completely stress-free had I understood the issues and process more completely to begin with. I'd suggest that LifeRx explain it in more detail to reduce the mystery and uncertainty level for new buyers, which I think they underestimate. There's a lot of preconceptions and even misinformation out there to be overcome.

[Refill Update 3 Sept 25: LifeRx notified me of my upcoming first refill which I accordingly ordered on 12 Aug. It was delivered to me here in the US from India on 2 Sept. Again their conditional wording on whether or not they had my original Rx on file was confusing but not actually a problem... just proceed as if all is Ok and it probably will be.]

Since I'm on restricted income, LifeRx is giving me access to an important medicine that I otherwise couldn't afford. I'm so glad that someone had the wit and initiative to start this "middleman fill a need" business and hope it does great for them.
